Hotel

The San Gil is an okay hotel but definitely not worth the 4 stars. The staff at the reception is impolite and doesn't even greet you. The restaurant staff isn't too nice either and the rather bland bar closes early. We've visited youth hostels with better service and better equipped rooms than this 'hotel' offers. The rooms itself are very (I'd say 'too') basic (just a bed, simple bathroom and a telly) but clean and with a view; which is a nasty street where homeless people sleep during the night. Also the rooms are poorly maintained. Together with its location; quite a walk from the city centre, I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seville.

Located away from the centre on a quiet location. From the outside it looks like a standard Seville building but one inside opens up into a beautiful courtyard. Courtyard is used for breakfast and dinner and also for entertainment. Lovely rooms and a great rooftop pool and sunbathing area. Not forgetting the very helpful staff. Not forgetting the huge breakfast selection. Recommended.

The city of Seville to discover. In order not to miss anything, you have to make the trips on foot.

Hotel is in the Macarena district of Seville about 20 minutes good walking to the centre. The entrance, like a lot of Mediterranean buildings, doesn't look much from the outside but once through the doors the ornate tiling is present in abundance. (See photos attached). Rooms are spacious and are marbled floor to ceiling. The windows too run from floor to ceiling. Beds are firm and comfortable. Some fittings are looking a little tired but everything functioned correctly. Being British though the tea and coffee in the room was missed! Staff speak a range of languages and were always polite and helpful. It was good to see them relaxed and willing to give customers time. Anyone going from England will notice that as soon as a drink is poured there is no measure. Be it wine or spirits the bottle is upended and who knows when they will stop! I had a whisky. My 7€ measure was nearly half of a very broad tumbler! In UK a measure would barely have covered the bottom of the glass. Dinner is fine but they have a lot of competition from local bars and eateries and a more varied menu may be found elsewhere. Breakfast though is vast, with hot food, cold food, sweet food, cereals, yoghurts, croissants and a range of breads just to name some items. This list really doesn't do it justice but definitely worth having. Waiting staff again are pleasant and work hard to ensure you are catered for. Did I enjoy my stay, yes definitely. Would I go again, yes definitely.

Good location Comfortable rooms. Very nice patio. Very helpful staff. Small flat, lack of soundproofing and windows that open on the hallway, so everyone can see inside the room, unless you leave the curtains drawn permanently.

Staff not very friendly. Pretty impersonal rooms. Far from the center. Good breakfast.

Nice context, very good breakfast, spacious rooms but for how it is done it is noisy and you have to keep the curtains always pulled to have privacy. No slippers or bathrobe and hairdryer that takes twenty minutes to dry your hair.

Nice Hotel Very pleasant stay. The staff polite, Mario cafeteria, the best definitely. Charming and willing, in addition to sympathetic.

Although I would not say it is a 4 star hotel It is very very nice. Staff friendly and fast surface if you have any problems. The room was clean and quite large and had a fridge. The only thing I would say strange is that the door to the room and the windows are a large glass, but it has thick curtains that do not enter the light.

Great deal for affordable price. Nice comfortable and good position.

For me it was one of the most beautiful experiences, hotel near the Macarena, quiet area, clean, tidy, kind, qualifucato. Honestly I'll come back.

A very modern hotel inside and outside maintains the aesthetics of the architecture of the Andalusian city. Very relaxing and close to all points of interest and services. It eats quite well both breakfast and dinner, very good meals. All positive.

Disappointed as it was supposed to be 4 star. Breakfast ok, but nothing special. Room ok, but needed redecoration. The place was a bit "faded".

Comfortable, clean, the staff of tuition. ; But what is a blessing is to hear the bell tower of St. Gil give the hours. The food always at its point. I recommend it and a lot.

Location north of downtown but not too far. Very nice Hotel. Penthouse for sunbathing. Swimming pool for summer. Typical Sevillian patios and flamenco performances at night. Breakfast is quite acceptable. The only downside is the marble floors of the rooms instead of parquet floors. Recommended Hotel.

He went to visit a guest and have a drink with him at the bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bad thing is to park in the area, that being in a place so central is somewhat complicated.

The hotel is modern and the rooms are large. But they have rooms that overlook an inner courtyard where a lot of people pass by. The least they could make sure is to soundproof those rooms conveniently.

Very nice hotel with a superb interior courtyard where you will find splendid lemon trees. The rooms are nice though small. Good location but a little to the north of the city. Basically you will have to market 1km to get more in the ' real ' center.

Nice clean hotel in a great atmospheric area of Seville. I would recommend it, although I would give the restaurant a miss, food wasn't great.

Generally acceptable. Expensive for what the hotel is, and even more expensive the parking lot counting that this two streets beyond and where if you have a big car, parking is Chinese job. Four stars, not a peep. The breakfast was very good. But the worst thing was finding me a cockroach next to the bed when we came back from dinner downtown. To what the girl at the reception has responded to a "I don't know where she came from, I'm sorry. " Really? Cockroaches in a 4-star room?

I absolutely love this hotel. The staff are amazing, the food is lovely and the setting is brilliant. It's close to two tiny bars. Both worth visiting. One is opposite and to your right, the other is on the corner of Calle Parras (left out of the hotel). The cafes and bars are amazing. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Is beautiful and cozy.

Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and nice to have a pool on the roof. The room we had seemed like it could do with an update though. Location is a fair way from the main tourist attractions, walkable if you like walking but may be a bit far for some. However we liked being out of the centre a little and the bar on the corner is worth a visit on a Monday or Wednesday evening. Also close to Alameda de Hércules where you'll find plenty of evening eating options.

The accommodation was fair. But very noisy as we were downstairs near the courtyard area. Room 112. Room smelt miffy and unpleasant. Not a good idea. Staff in reception were brilliant. Excellent selection for breakfast. Hotel is fairly central to everything.

Very nice hotel with a great roof top pool. It can be a little loud with our room overlooking the inner Courtyard area and also the doors in the hallway slam when they are shut. Nevertheless, I would gladly stay here again.

Hotel with a certain cachet but who certainly deserves its 4 *. Breakfast leaves much to be desired, and it is better to come in circles spring to avoid taking cold by going to take it, because you are forced to cross current of air corridors and the lovely patio. Its location is 20 minutes from all interesting visits and when its Wi — Fi it is deplorable. Its staff is neglected in the late evening that a 4 * french cannot accept.

Today same return of Seville and were staying at the hotel San Gil… I recommend eyes closed! very good attention. Super nice… it had a re-bien… thank you and see you soon.

Very nice hotel, reception friendly, calm patio, not far away to the historic center, add Polish chanel in TV.

Overall good hotel. Located not far away from the city centre this relatively old hotel has a lovely and typical for Spain square inner yard, where all the live of hotel takes place. There is a free (decent quality) Wi-Fi, with no password! On the top of the building there is a (swimming) pool, not big, but the water is warm enough. The breakfast area is lovely and food is acceptable. The room itself has no Wi-Fi, but not bad altogether. The service in general is acceptable as well.

Very good hotel, quiet (for the rooms facing the inner courtyard). One caveat: the Wi — Fi, connections are good at the front desk, much more random in the rooms.

Super Hotel, in the Centre of Seville, I've been on numerous occasions and the truth is that I am delighted with the service, and what I found in the hotel. Logically if you are in the historical part of the city, not we can go looking for avenues or spaces for cars big that we like to lead, you have to know where we are going and what we are going to find but the hotel is gorgeous, with personality and unique. I'll be back, no doubt.

Go blow that I got to the car, I took him the valet to his garage and he returned it to me more small, all full of lime in the back defense, is that the reception guy miss me a photo and tells me that when you reach destination that sends you the car data now fools are! that says a lot about the personal value of the hotel.

Horrible. The bad treatment at the reception. I had never encountered such unfriendly people in Seville. I chose the hotel because it was a business trip, and wanted a four star hotel with free Wi-Fi. Forget that, the Wi-Fi doesn't work, but neither works connected to the cable Internet. The network of mobile phone, tines to go outside dle hotel and walk as two or three streets if you want to call by phone even works.
The noise is horrible because there are stairs me´talicas for sabir to the floor above, makes reumban to step House, and the acoustics of rooms facing patio l heard everything. I couldn't sleep in two nights that I was there.

The Hotel San Gil is alright, if too expensive. It is very annoying that the employees at the hotel make a lot noise at impossible times. Location is central and is OK. Very annoying for a second stay we found that we (Zi 2 months were booked in advance via Expedia) were housed on arrival at this hotel, but in a large, very impersonal hotel of same category (TRYP Macarena). We should sleep a night and the 2nd night at Hotel San Gil, which included h and new parking lot search and baggage hauling 12 00 each check-in/check-out. The entire process of this implementation was really rude. We should wait for about 1 hour to the Hotel Manager this should clarify the situation. That was unacceptable, and we have insisted on an immediate transfer for 2 days. That worked in the end then, but we were busy 2 total, 5 hours and have annoyed us.

I was there with my family the last week of the year. The heating was not working and we had cold. Very cumbersome and insufficiently, breakfast had to wait for everything (bread, Coffee pastries, etc) and over had to endure the chef saying tonteriascuando fed up with wait for it to find coffee ask one of the cafeteria. Nothing advisable, left you the fourth star.

Last weekend I was there with my family, the hotel is very bad the worst staff impossible and also our hotel reservation was only for one night and they charged us two and now tell us that they do not return us the money, that is a scam to a foreign credit card, I do not recommend it at all.
