Review of Hotel Saray 4*

We stayed here for 2 nights, a family of 4. The pictures on the website looked much nicer than the actual hotel. They have a parking garage at the cost of €18 a day. It's very small and hard to manoeuvre around and we were in a small car. We decided to forget it and park on the streets, which wasn't bad and had no problem finding parking. The room was very clean, I'll give it that, a big plus. The room & hotel need an update. Our room was very small. My daughters slept on a pull out bed couch, that was very uncomfortable. Seems like the mattress needed to be replaced. We didn't get breakfast included because it was expensive. Although the 1st morning, we decided to eat there since we were unsure what to expect out in town. The breakfast buffet was not worth the €32 for all us. There was hardly a selection to chose from. The eggs looked like pudding. Definitely go out in the center for breakfast, it will be cheaper and I'm sure better tasting. My daughters were looking forward to going swimming. We had planned for them to go the last day. Once we go down there at 9am (pool opens @8am), the cleaning guy stopped us and said no they can't go due to cleaning, will be an hour. Mind you, we called the night prior to double check the time and no one mention cleaning. The pool was one of the reasons why I chose this hotel. My girls didn't get to go. Location — not the best for the prices. We discovered much nicer hotels out in town closer to all the attractions for about the same price if not cheaper than Hotel Saray. Which would have eliminated paying for a parking garage. This was a last min trip so I did not do much research, learned for next time. We would not stay in this hotel again.
