Review of Malaga City Suites 2*

Summary: Probably one of the worst hostel I ever been to. Cheap, rooms with no windows, hot, loud, good design/location, bathrooms not on each floor, no English. In detail: To start on the positive side, what you can expect is very low cost hostel with the best location in town possible (5-10 minutes walk from all interesting sites), 15 min walk from the beach, and despite the other negative comments about cleanliness, during our stay they were cleaning the hostel every morning around 10-11am. The overal design of the building was quite cool. For all those things I give 2 stars not 1. The remaining reality was horrible, staff doesn't speak a word of English (except 1 woman who at least tried). The building has 3 floors — ground foor is reception, 1st floor has the only male bathroom (3 toilets where you can close the door of only 2, 3 showers, 2 sinks, 1 hair dryer), 2nd floor has the only female bathroom (I assume similar settings), 3rd floor has a small kitchen with oven/cooker, fridge (constantly packed from top to bottom), sink, 1 table for lets say 5 people. So unless you're lucky to sleep on the same floor as your bathroom is be ready for some staircase walks (no elevator). Next major issue is that some of the rooms comes with no windows (yes, exactly), I suppose rooms with no windows ale less noisy but can get hot as hell (even the 1 fan didn't manage to make a difference + 2nd was broken) so we had to open the door and "window" to the hallway. In the private room we stayed in there were 2 single beds despite the fact we booked double, no wardrobe, 1 chair, 1 chest of drawers, 2 towels and that's it. If you're on very low budget, probably you can get away with 1 or 2 nights. Otherwise I recommend to look for something else.
