Can't praise this hotel and it's amazing staff highly enough. My husband and I visited last weekend for a short break. We loved the hotel and can't fault the cleanliness, and cool, chic feel to the rooms. The day we were leaving, I had a nasty fall over a kerb whilst out in Malaga, causing me to injure my jaw and splitting my chin open. Not being able to speak any Spanish, other than greetings, we made our way back to the Barcelo, to seek assistance. The reception staff were absolutely fantastic, in particular one lovely young lady, who's name I failed to notice in my shocked state. She immediately took charge of the situation, in a very respectful manner, making herself available to us, to assist, with translation and directions coming with us to a nearby pharmacy for advice and supplies. Back at the hotel, we were given a private area where my husband carried out the first aid required, with full use of the hotel's supplies. Everyone showed genuine concern for my wellbeing. This lovely young lady supported me to the toilet area to enable me to wash up and change my clothes, then escorting me back. I was offered water/drink/food and asked if there was anything else they could help me with. As we were literally on our way to the airport for our flight in a few hours, a taxi was called on our behalf, and a call to the airport to enquire about medical assistance there, which was not required. I am incredibly grateful to all the staff at Barcelo Malaga and particularly the lovely lady who helped me for the practical and respectful way we were treated and supported and wish to offer my very very grateful thanks. I highly recommend this superb hotel.
