One of our best hotel stays yet, having visited loads of cities in Europe and beyond. The staff makes you feel straight at home, in particular Miss Virginia Rosa who did an excellent job as the Guest Experience Manager. Wouldn't hesitate one second to book a room in this hotel again if we might return to Malaga!

Can't praise this hotel and it's amazing staff highly enough. My husband and I visited last weekend for a short break. We loved the hotel and can't fault the cleanliness, and cool, chic feel to the rooms.
The day we were leaving, I had a nasty fall over a kerb whilst out in Malaga, causing me to injure my jaw and splitting my chin open. Not being able to speak any Spanish, other than greetings, we made our way back to the Barcelo, to seek assistance. The reception staff were absolutely fantastic, in particular one lovely young lady, who's name I failed to notice in my shocked state. She immediately took charge of the situation, in a very respectful manner, making herself available to us, to assist, with translation and directions coming with us to a nearby pharmacy for advice and supplies. Back at the hotel, we were given a private area where my husband carried out the first aid required, with full use of the hotel's supplies. Everyone showed genuine concern for my wellbeing. This lovely young lady supported me to the toilet area to enable me to wash up and change my clothes, then escorting me back. I was offered water/drink/food and asked if there was anything else they could help me with.
As we were literally on our way to the airport for our flight in a few hours, a taxi was called on our behalf, and a call to the airport to enquire about medical assistance there, which was not required.

From the rooms, the size, cleanliness, comfort, the bed is huge and very comfortable. The staff is perfect, attentive, and very close, always with a smile. The situation of the hotel is perfect to go both to enjoy the beach as well as for touring the city. A little thing that we liked is that they do not accept pets, we would have loved to be able to bring our furry. For the rest is super in all senses.

Beautiful and majestic! Added splendour to the glowing attribute of Malaga as a remarkable tourist destination. The memory shall linger until my next visit soon.

We were met by an amazingly helpful and heartfelt concierge who not only got us a table in a very booked up restaurant but guided us to the best places to visit that were within walking distance. So friendly and accommodating.
Later we received a tray of chocolates and a bottle of Cava to help us celebrate our anniversary.
The rooms were modern, clean and the bed very comfortable.
Breakfast too was a delight. Such a range of food from cereal to cream cake!
Build on top of the main railway station and a large shopping mall it was so very very convenient (but not noisy).

Fab hotel so accessible from the airport — just a few stops away on the train. Staff are great especially Daniel on reception went out of his way to help us. Great base for discovering Malaga. Only criticism is not enough sunbeds on the rooftop and one just one member of staff on trying to serve everyone.

Perfect. The location is ideal if you go passing because it is at the AVE station and has a train that in 8 minutes connects you to the airport. The terrace is also great.

The hotel is located right next to the train station. Hence when travelling from the airport catch the train as it's only 2 euros! When you arrive you will come out into a shopping mall with loads of restaurants and shops. Very clean and nice to wonder around when u have a free evening. The hotel itself is very clean, friendly staff, good Wi-Fi signal. My suggestion is if u can get a room on the top floor next to the roof top pool, then do it. However, saying that the standard rooms are just as good. The roof top bar and pool is lovely modern and clean, however very small. The hotel has a slide inside which is a good gimic and fun. Overall gave it a 4 out of 5. Brilliant location, just what upset me was they give u a kettle to make tea but not coffee nor tea bags. It's an extra charge, which I have never seen before. Small I know, but rather petty considering I paid nearly €180 per night.

It is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel. Its location is perfect. Highlight the pool recently opened where you can relax in the sun and drink that you want on the terrace enabled in this regard. Very helpful and friendly staff and especially my congratulations to Ivan, for the excellent service it provides to customers and for their sympathy and education. It is definitely our hotel every time we go to Malaga.

Loved this hotel. Slide was great fun for 11yr old daughter and well located for travel. Didn't take too long to wander into town on the 2 days we stayed. Would stay again.

Nice place to stay for business meetings. Very good breakfast with a nice selection and well located next to a small mall and the train station which is directly connecting to the airport in 3 stops. Rooms are ok, nothing special but A/C works well, bed is comfortable and there is a good choice of pillows. Not a long walk to the beach or the center or town so even more options if you have time to get away but remember that it gets pretty hot out there but again most likely the reason for being here to start with. Would stay there again for sure.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was clean and close to the train station. The service here was the best we had in Spain. The breakfast buffet was delicious and also a lot of very healthy options such as fresh juices, made to order omelettes and fresh honey out of a honeycomb.

Really comfy beds, lovely room, great shower and bathroom. Amazing views of the city, especially from the rooftop pool and bar. Helpful and friendly staff. It's located right next to the train and bus stations and it's a short walk to the centre. Also there's a super happy fun slide.

Es Hotel Barceló offers an excellent opportunity to enjoy Malaga. Located next to the Malaga Maria Zambrano train station and very close to the city centre. Comfortable facilities, tasteful for interior design, a terrace with panoramic pool overlooking the city and a fun slide to get down to the hotel bar. Highly recommended.

Centrally located Hotel and very well connected for excursions, as it adjoins the Malaga train station, the metro and the bus station. In terms of performance is ideal! Excellent hotel with friendly staff en very nice rooms. There is a hotel bar with an outside area on the ground floor and a restaurant on the first floor. There's also a slide from the first floor to the ground floor. The hotel is connected to the railway station and is easy accessable. I stayed at the for work and attend a symposium there.

I am a fan of Barcelo hotels. Barcelo Malaga just added more to my passion about the chain. The location is brilliant and the staff are nice and very polite. The breakfast is amazing. The slide is something else. I think it has the best connection to the airport, which saves a lot of hassle.

I have already been several times here, I have tried all the room types there, and I have to say I love it. The Deluxe Junior Suite is well worth it, and the slide to get down from the 1st to the cafeteria is a must-have activity.

It's my second time staying in this hotel, since my honeymoon, 2015 november. (almost 2 years since then). It's location is perfect for whom coming from the Malaga airport using RENFE or wanting to get to the beach. Not far from the beach. (Of course, taking a bus is recommended, if you want to save your time and energy). The staffs are nice. I Can't wait for my third time here, maybe with my kid who's not allowed to me yet. (I'm trying my best to have one. ^^).

Breakfast was great, but the junior suite deluxe didn't feel as much of a treat as I expected.

We were several family members staying to celebrate a wedding, the smell of air freshener could chew literally. Due to the system of sanitation in the hall of the hotel tends to smell bad, but the camouflage of the air fresheners mixed scents and make the situation worse. We took a suite and was somewhat emaciated many defects in the room, since the moisture up pieces of wall plasters. One and no more, I don't think recommending this hotel.

We had to mount, make and remove an event, but the responsible of the kitchens didn't want to let go of the truck by the shortest route. We had to load everything by a circuitous route. Except for that, the staff of the technical maintenance of the hotel was very attentive and resolute.

The conference room is very wide. The sound equipment, and the space is suitable for events of over 100 people. The food catering was good, although the replenishment of the trays that were spending was a little slow. In general very good.

All very clean, well decorated and the food is very good. I've loved it. On the first floor have a water slide to use it as you want. It is very fun.

If you can not say that it is a hotel situated in the centre of Malaga, has a location quite good. On the one hand in the same train station so there are many combinations of birds, trains, regional and vicinity. On the other hand, the old centre is about a 15-or 20-minute walk away and only 5 — 10 minutes walk from the beach. It is a modern hotel, with large function rooms and fine cuisine. We recommend the room type junior suite with hot tub.

One of the best hotels in which I have never hosted: staff attentive and friendly, rooms comfortable and very clean and an exquisite breakfast, very extensive and varied, in which the display is at the height of what is paid. In addition, the detail of giving you a questionnaire in the breakfast to which values the same and give proposals for its improvement gives an added value to the interest of the hotel by the client. I will come back…

So compared to some other hotels in Spain the value for money was very good. A typical business hotel with ample parking spaces and an exclusive connection to the city's railway station. The location is a bit unfavorable. If you want to use the direct proximity to the water, the hotel is rather not suitable. The hotel and also the room was very clean, spacious and a pleasantly sized bathroom. Friendly staff.

The rooms were clean and cozy. The location is excellent, right next to the train station and a 15 min walk from City centre. The staff was helpful and nice. The lobby was interesting and I would say trendy, my biggest complaint was that the slide that goes from first to base floor was not really a slide and I had to push myself for most of it's length. Not a big deal since it's meant as a interactive sculpture instead of an actual amusement attraction.

I made a reservation through their official website few months ago but didn't receive any confirmation email from Baecelo. So I wrote them the first email to confirm my booking. Later on, I decided to change from 2 people to 3 and from 1 night to 2 nights. I wrote them at least 8 emails to get everything confirmed. The last email Barcelo Malaga sent me is "Thank you very much" which I assumed they have processed all my changes. However, when I arrived in Barcelo Malaga today…, only when I asked the reception, they told me I have only booked for one night. It took them 30mins to make everything clear and told me it's a misunderstanding because I didn't give them my credit card information (which I gave it to them online already) In the email I confirmed with them for at least 3 times (the last time was 3 days before my arrival) but they still got the wrong information. More upsetting, they never sent me any confirmation email even I asked them twice already. I thought that was the end of the problem after they cleared out the "misunderstanding". However things only got worse. After exhausted, waiting for 40 mins, when we finally got in our room which they claimed to be "non smoking room", it is full of cigarettes smell and it's so smelly that my family and I started to have headache. We called the reception again, and they replied in a very bad attitude, telling us "housekeeping says the room is fine, what they can do is open the window and spray some perfume".

Very good value for money.

I stayed there two times during month of July 2017 with my family for total stay of 4 nights, It has good location connected to Malaga train station with direct access and many car rental offices located in that access. The price is quite high but it worth it and if you book through their website you will get less price compare to other hotels booking sites plus 5% of accommodation amount as credit you can use it during your stay. Lovely modern design rooms with no views except for junior suite rooms. Staff were good. Breakfast was hot and excellent.

We stayed here for 3 nights. I don't think it deserves a 4 star. Over $150 per night without basic service of a 4 star hotel — not only did they want to charge for slippers and also does not even provide any complimentary water. Even upon request the concierge refused to accommodate. Unbelievable.

Thank you so much for taking such good care of the group of delayed passengers of Transavia at 23/6. The people at reception and in the kitchen did a great job. The hotel rooms were wonderful, everybody seemed to agree about this. Shame we had to leave so early!

Beautiful hotel adjacent to the station and Metro of Malaga a few steps from the old Town,

Room was very dirty and not as advertised. They mis charged us an incorrect amount and the hotel staff was rude. Would not recommend.

Good level structure. It has the convenience of being three subway stops from the airport. At the station, which is connected with the hotel, there is a shopping centre with shops of all kinds, restaurants, bars, cinema.

Everything about this hotel is dope. Though it was my first time. But I sure had fun with my partner All the staffs are friendly and carefree, the must thing I like about it is their Wi-Fi wow. I do really enjoyed my staying.

Ik wilde naar de zon en het liefst in de buurt van een strand, zonder in een enorm toeristenhotel of resort uit te komen. Na wat zoeken kwam ik uit bij Barcelo in Malaga. Het hotel ligt bovenop het treinstation waar de trein vanuit het vliegveld stopt. Ook vertrekken er treinen naar alle delen van Spanje. Niet mijn hoofddoel, maar ik had bijvoorbeeld zo naar Sevilla gekund. De oude stad ligt op ongeveer een kwartier lopen, de haven 25-30 minuten. Misschien net iets te ver, maar de rust in het hotel, de lekkere bedden, fijne douches, het goede restaurant en de hamburgers aan de bar maken dat zeker meer dan goed. De bediening in het restaurant is super. Naast het gekozen voor — en hoofdgerecht liet de ober mij trots enkele malaga specialiteiten proeven (een prijswinnende olijfolie, een typisch broodje, malagawijn). Het is allemaal niet speciaal (wel lekker), maar het gebaar zorgde ervoor dat ik me meteen thuisvoelde.

I have only good words for this hotel, going twice a year, good and super helpful staff, excellent care, spotlessly clean, great rooms, clean, nice and quiet, the Wi-Fi and air conditioning work perfectly (with mechanized shutters and recliner), with respect to the beautiful and modern hotel with several areas for work, read or relax, with a slide (a curious fact) and a trip to the Vialia shopping center.

Very impressed by Barcelo Malaga which is in excellent location just by the train station. Staff is very professional and is always ready to do an extra mile for the customer. Was very impressed by birthday surprise arranged for my boyfriend.

Something away from the center. But it is great, it's quite modern and they'll treat you very well. It is also in the own train station and has a slide that goes from the breakfast room to the reception.

Very good choice of accommodation in the same season María Zambrano. It is just opposite the station of Metro El Perchel, so it facilitates mobility by Malaga.

Myself and my partner stopped at this hotel last week and loved it. The reason I have rated it four stars is because it does not have a pool, though we did know that before we went. The staff are very helpful and do their best to cater for your needs whatever you ask, most of them speaking basic English if you struggle with Spanish like us. The bar is excellent and reasonably priced for drink and food and the housekeeping standards are 100% every day. My only warning is watch out for the taxi's readily available from next door at the station, some drivers charge 7 Euro's to the port area (which is well worth a visit) if they know you are a tourist, it is usually around 5 Euros coming the other way and also 5 Euros if you ask the hotel to book it. A highly recommended hotel — well done team Barceló Malaga.

Perfect for those travelling to the capital of the Costa del Sol for business. The location is unbeatable, since it is on station María Zambrano, so that reach Malaga Ave do steps and that landing aircraft in 8 minutes by train from the airport. Decoration is modern and cosy, first-class cuisine and the slide or the machine's Pajamas are a puntazo. We love that a hotel is more than just a place to sleep and surprise us.

Hotel is very practical, good location and is accessible from the airport and AVE train station, the cafeteria has enough variety of food and the rooms are very good. The staff is very correct. I recommend it for families and for business trips. The bathroom is great for after a hard day of work give one relaxing.

Without being an expert on hotels, perhaps one of the best in Malaga. Exquisite attention and close 24 h. Quality in every corner and every detail. Simply Super. Great breakfast.
