Situated in one of the most beautiful places in the world with breathtaking views. Our stay started off a bit shaky but this was beyond the control of management. The GM Jean however went above and beyond to rectify the situation and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Will definitely be back.

We've been here for just a day and this place is absolutely stunning. We ate at the Pizza Vista and their pizza's are delicious and very flavourful.

The worst Meal ever…. Waited over an hour for inedible food. No good wines either,

Stunning setting, nice rooms (although walls a bit thin), nice restaurants and lovely wider Bovlei area to explore.

Lovely views, nice spacious room. Two restaurants in on the premises. The one serves pizza and pasta which was delicious! It was quite busy which is a good sign.

Yet another fantastic stay at Val du Charron. Dinner in The Grill room was excellent. Fantastic steaks and sauces. Very comfortable accommodation. Breakfast was a bit big for me but well cooked.

Great pizzas with stunning views. The service was also great. Had a fun time tasting some of their wines afterwards. Highly recommended.

Absolutely breathe-taking view, great food options and friendly wait staff. We were a group of 8 and we were served efficiently. Used the entertainer app and Daddy's deals vouchers here and it worked effortlessly. The spa, guest rooms and pool looked heavenly and relaxing. Overall a great experience.

Super nice place with fantastic food. We had a lovely 4 days here, explored the area and enjoyed it very much. The views are fantastic. My daughter and I were in the family rooms which doesn't have a view so I would recommend that you ask for a room on the front. The pool and splash pod are great for kids and the pizza restaurant is great too (just don't order steak there which is what I, order meat in the Grill room). We loved the nice art objects in the gardens as well and went for a walk about on the farm to see how the farm workers were picking the grapes.

The views are magical and the setting is great. Our waitron struggled a bit with the large table. But my main issue was that there were so many stock items missing from the wine list. It was a bit frustrating. The restaurant advertised gluten-free and paleo bases but had none in stock. Chicken wings were a little underwhelming. But the pizza we chose was tasty.

For my husband's birthday weekend this place was just what we needed. Upon checking in we were upgraded to the Coach house which was absolutely lovely and luxurious, thanks Miles, you're a gem! The staff was super friendly and the food and drinks from the 2 on-site restaurants was really good (the breakfast could use a wider variety). Breath-taking views of the farm and mountain ranges. Thanks guys.

The location and views are wonderful. Isaac our waiter was outstanding. The food was excellent, I loved ostrich the most. Liked the wines as well, especially Erasmus. We were served very fast and our order also arrived fast.

Took clients there for an end of year function. It was extremely hot and we had to ask for a fan to be brought to our table to cool us down. Their excuse was that aircon couldn't cool the place down enough? Service was not of the best as I had to call the waiter more than once. Location though is stunning and if you looking for a place with a view, go there on a cool day.

The food was good but was sadly contrasted by the long waiting time. For anything, such as wine glasses, ice, water for the table or drinks. The waiters tended to watch their outside tables from the confines of the air conditioned inside section. The view of the surrounding area was spectacular but again sorely contrasted by service. In the future I will get a bottle of wine to enjoy a sunny day rather than risk spoiling it with at best average service.

The building and the complex look great. Restaurant and everything too. Only the rooms don't. Unfortunately. Cheap aged foiled presshwood. With us not really clean with wilted flowers in the rolling water. What a pity. Something needs to be done here. Luxury room was the never! You have such a great look and otherwise beautiful.

Here you will find the best steaks in the country. The food is excellent and the wine to match.

Awesome, amazing, beautiful place and the steaks at the local grill are fabulous. Quite frankly one of the best nights away and not all that far from Cape Town either, really well worth it to go for a night or two and just watch the sunset, enjoy a glass of wine followed by delicious food and finally an amazing night's rest, only to wake up and start the day all over again with a scrumptious breakfast also included in the price. Great value for money and you feel as though you've been away for a week never mind just a night.

One of the best kept secrets of this valley. Amazing place! Our kids swim there while we have a nice drink or meal (Local Grill). It also now has a Piza e Vino with a water park. Awesome!

Great view awesome service and even better food.

We booked two nights at this hotel beginning of July as we participated to the MTB race organized in this estate and wanted to have a good night sleep before without having to drive 2 hours before the race. Bad mistake. When we arrived in the room, it was approximatively 12°C. It was so cold that we didn't stay in the room, we just put the heater on and went for a walk. At that price, you would expect to have the room properly heated when you arrive, especially as we informed them before of the time of our arrival. But that was just the beginning. Despite what was advertised, we had no Wi-Fi in the room, which is also a detail, but I insist on the fact that we paid R4000 a night. At that price, every service should be perfect. At the end of the afternoon, the farm's staff started a party. Very loud music, dogs barking all around… so much for the "quiet and peaceful" guesthouse. The music kept on going all night. It was so loud that we couldn't sleep at all. It calmed down around 1am to start again later. A nightmare. We called a few times to ask if something could be done but without any result. During all our stay, the staff was very friendly, and I believe very sorry for the bad experience we had. We don't blame them, I believe they couldn't sleep neither! Before we left, we were told that the manager would contact us. We expected a gesture or a voucher, something like that. It's been a month and despite of the emails we sent, no one came back to us.

Enjoyed the excellent pizza at Piza-e-Vino, but the long wait for food after the order was placed was not that nice. We understood that there is limited space to prepare in the kitchen, but then they should think of alternatives.

Good steaks with amazing views. The cynic in me though finds the grass / grain / wet aged / dry aged etc a load of hot air as I have had steaks as good If not better at much simple places.

Beautiful setting, in the valley overlooking the mountains. There are two nice restaurants where you can eat under the stars or inside if you wish. There is also a small swimming pool and a splash park for children — fantastic. We stayed one night but wish we had stayed two. We enjoyed the wine tasting too.
