One of the most beautiful farms in Franschhoek, the worst service from the staff ever! Recommendation to visitors: Buy your own wine in the shop, take your own glasses and own food to enjoy fully & to avoid disappointment.

We went there as part of the wine tram and had a completely underwhelming experience. We had the distinct feeling that Grand Provence doesn't actually appreciate the wine tram crowd and felt unwelcoming. The tasting was by no means cheap and only included their budget wines, which were all pretty horrible. We ordered a meat platter which again overpriced and under-valued. My suggestion… give this one a skip.

Gardens are beautifull and artwork amazing. Garden provided a relaxing atmosphere. Staff who served us friendly and knew her products. Only did a wine tasting. Wines are recommendable.

We did the wine tasting and had mixed experiences. Staff didn't serve any water and used the same glass for white and red wines.

Beautiful setting but out of all the wine Estates we visited on the tram today they had the worst cheese board and table service if it had Proper management it would be a goldmine.

Service was very inattentive. In addition, although timelines were communicated, these had been ignored. Filet was of median quality. Cauliflower in Risotto was very hard.

My wife and I visited Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate in October 2016. Ordered a supply of their wine and had it shipped to my home in Florida. Just opened a bottle and found it to be superb as it was when we tasted it at the wine estate. Had a great tour and conversation with the employees while visiting in 2016. Will have to find a source in the USA. Again, outstanding.

A breathtaking ambiance under a large tree with the shimmer of sunlight peeping through, to lift the spirits. A gentle breeze cools you as you soak up the fresh country air. As you glance in different directions there are sculptures placed around, which brings a culture and art to the surroundings.
Our table was beautifully set. We sat taking in this experience as our waiter Joseph opened a bottle of bubbly. And with ease fluently tantalized our tastebuds with options from the menu. Our food came and it didn't disappoint. Delicious, and tasty. An explosion of tastes that were out of this world. Honestly it's the best meal I have ever experienced. What a great day celebrating a birthday for my husband with special friends. Kudos to the chef and our waiter. # unforgettablemomentinafrica

Only here for wine tasting. Poor service (or rather no service). We wanted to taste at the bar, but was told to go sit outside where we will be served. We did and after 15min, we still weren't served, or even acknowledged. Went back to the bar, and tried again. Waited another 10min. Bear in mind, this is a R150 wine tasting! Glasses wasn't rinsed between tastings. We had to ask for some water. Biscuits were offered after we finished tasting. On the plus side: very friendly service. Great tasting wines. Nice location. Clean rest rooms.

The food was incredible and wine pairing perfect. Service excellent and we asked for wine tasting after our meal — we didn't even have to leave our seats! All for a good price.

If I could rate this place 6 stars, I would. However, as you would expect, you'll pay highly for those 6 stars. Not a cheap place! But stunning, honestly.

What a disappointing experience. This beautiful setting completely ruined by the very rude and imcompetent staff. We arrived as part of the wine tram tour and it took us 10 minutes to try and get a wine tasting despite several staff members being in the room. Half way through our wine tasting our server disappeared without saying a word. Again, we had to try and get someones attention to see if someone could complete our tasting. This request was met by a sigh and no explanation of the wine. I then had to try and get someones attention again to pay the bill for our tasting and was ignored several times (one waitress was too busy checking her facebbok updates and charging her phone to care). I decided to get up and walk into the other room to get someones attention. The waiter snatched the cash out of my hand and shoved the change at me, without a thank you for visiting or an apology for the shocking service. Not a great start to our day at all. Thank goodness for the smaller wine farms in the area that were very warm, welcoming, knowledgable and polite. Glad our money was well spent on cases from farms that appreciated our visit.

Cold tea served. Honey comes after my tea is done. Desserts are underwhelming. Staff unhelpful. Such a pity because the setting is beautiful.

Beautiful settings and Great art. Restaurant can't comment imploy similar marketing tactics to Reuben's restaurant half full kitchen can't cope phantom reservations etc!

The service, the food, the garden… this place is fantastic. You really can't go wrong.
