The friendly staff. The great food. I felt at home the moment we checked in. The was never any uncomfortably. It's more than a Home away from home.

The hotel is in a state of disrepair, cleanliness in the rooms are an issue. The chef cannot cook an egg or fry a tomato. Overpriced for the quality of accommodation.

Its definitely not a 4 star hotel its false advertising the rooms need a revamp, the Wi-Fi does not work 90%of the time. On arrival only we were told the jacuzzi and the sona has not been working for a sometime. There was no full breakfast everything is just not right I would never recommend it to anyone.

Filthy hotel. Took my money and refuse to reimburse. Should be rated as a 1 star.

Wonderful setting. Absolutely stunning views. The lighthouse is a bonus. Perfect, perfect location!

A lovely hotel, but it is a bit rundown for the price. We were looking for pet-friendly accommodation & this suited our purpose. Breakfast was average & waitron was attentive. The rooms & dining area views overlooking the ocean, watching the whales made up for the average stay.

Friendly staff and very helpful. But I forgot my jacket in room 206, on the 29th of February, and I've tried to communicate with the hotel since then but nothing is bearing fruit. Can someone please help me. Worried customer!

I just spent 10 days in the Point Hotel and Spa in Mossel Bay and it was fantastic rooms were very neat and clean all with sea views, the food was great and the hotel staff from managers, general staff right down to room staff were excellent and friendly.
I would recommend this hotel and as a past hotel owner myself, I know the dedication to provide a service like this. Good management and Happy staff are key to its success.

When we got to the Hotel at check in time our room wasn’t ready. We waited another 20min before we were shown to our room.
When we got there the cleaning lady’s equipment was all over the place. My room floor was still wet when entering.
We did not even have a Tv in the room they brought one from some where else. As we were trying to settle in they came into the room to get the Tv to work.
They claim they are a 4Star hotel what a joke.
The Tv only had Sabc channels, the sliding door can’t lock or even open properly.
When we tried to take a shower after a long day the water could not get cold.
We had to take our soap& pjs to another room to go shower cause they couldn’t help us and this for R2500 per 1 night for accommodation
Please don’t waste your time or money on this place.
What a Disappointment.

The Point Hotel & Spa. Fantastic location. Cape St Blaize Light House in right next to hotel with a trail leading up. Could not resist temptation to go visit the Light House. Disappointed. Just a cliff below the light house your progress is blocked by barbed wire fencing. Feeling of so close yet so far! To see light House go through the city. If for nothing else stay here just for it's location. Right on the rocky coast. Gazing across waters of South Atlantic and Indian Ocean. Watch the waves, at times gentling lapping and at times thunderously crashing on the rocks just out side the sit out of your room. True for Rooms facing South. Location is not the only thing going for it. The rooms are comfortable. Food Good. Service nice. During second night of our stay there was major power outage/failure in power supply. Darkness all around. Even the essential and vital safety service like the light house next door was not functioning. Surprisingly there was no standby supply or generator. Every thing must have been thrown out of gear for the staff as breakfast was delayed and service at that time left much to be desired. May be not their fault. Such events could have been avoided in alternate power source was available. Other than power outage we enjoyed our stay there. Recommended.

It was just fantastic experience. Show many humpback whales from the hotel room. Spa was amazing. Food mind blowing. If not stayed at The Point Hotel & Spa at Mossel Bay, u have not been to south africa.

The best views you can ask for while at Mosselbay. Decent rooms with sea view, great indian food.

Stay away from the all inclusive package deal — except the exelent work of the spa personnel, the rest of the deal was a total rip off. No snacks, restricted food choice, barman trying his best behind a bar that is badly stocked. Bar /dining area run down, not even worth 1 star. We're told that dinner valued of R250.00 pet person was included: buffet was only prepared for "Indian"group with less than 30 persent of ale carte menu available — no strters, desert. Same at breakfast, valued at R150 per head but actual not worth R30. The spa part. : The only actual worth while part of the deal. The two ladies is professional. I actually felt sorry for the hotel staf — clearly they are left to run a place with no mangement support or commitment.

Not what website promised! Ok, my comment was based on my first impressions, and the negative experience with bar/food service in an all included deal… Then we went for our couple spa treatment in the relatively new spa… and was treated to above excellent service and professional treatment! Five star spa! Make up for the hotels other shortcomings!

Location wise outstanding! Food bad! Very dirty! Was under renovation when I went!

Right on sea, no beach, but on rocks good ocean view. Thrilling experience.

Incredible view! great location! Reception staff offered us a deluxe package which was quite difficult to resist, My husband and I had one of the most relaxed Spa treatments in a while. Great choice indeed it was. The fact that it is unlimited I would definitely recommend.

We recently had a visit to Mossel Bay and wow was this a tremendously beautiful hotel to stay in! The staff throughout was some of the most friendliest people we've ever encountered! The Double Deluxe package was simply amazing with all the unlimited drinks & soothing Spa treatment, this was really worth the value for money. Thanks for a memorable experience. You guys rock!

Point Hotel is a very good hotel for & in the area in viscinity of Heritage Light House and the food ambience and natural beauty was very charming. I do recommend anyone planning to stay at Mossel Bay to stay here.

What you have to pay for here is the great view. The rooms are clean but very sober furnished. The price-performance ratio is not right for me. There is no hair dryer.

This was the worst place we've stayed at on the Garden Route, possibly anywhere. The staff are friendly, but unprofessional. Our room was filthy! The kettle wasn't cleaned and full of something weird I don't even know what it was. There were empty beer bottles in the cupboard and a dirty towel left in there too. They didn't have items on the menu and the TV didn't have good reception at all. It's in bad shape with cracks in the wall, damp spots and paint peeling off. It's really not worth the price (even though in the end we were given a discount for the inconvenience of not getting the room we originally asked for and having to move to another room). It's a shame because it's a nice location, but I don't recommend it. It needs a lot of improvement.

Good hotel but our Motorcycles were damaged in the parking lot otherwise I would have given 4 stars.

Buffet lunch. Cold food. Seating very crowded. Not well organised. Not worth R400 pp.

Location and everything is fantastic. However being a 4 star hotel I do not expect things to be stolen from my room. 16000 rands were stolen from my bag in the room. Considering the huge amount I expected some quick action from the hotel. We were just asked to lodge a police complain and wait. We still have not received the complain id nor any updates from the hotel on their course of action. It was a terrible experience after that. I don't know if I will get my money back. However those who are going to stay in the hotel please beware.

What can I say. If there is a paradise this is close.

It's been pretty much the year. Windows leaking, air conditioning defective (does not heat).

Badly build. Bad service. Terrible finishes in rooms and surrounds. Breakfast was almost impossible to eat… place covered in flies, with 1 or 2 flies in the yoghurt. Eating area has no atmosphere and food is very basic and uninteresting.

Everything was great, especially the location.

I t must be the most underated edge of the sea hotel in Africa. Under a lighthouse surrounded by good restaurants and walking trails and in a mild climate and no crowds. I have traveled to 27 countries and found finally rest. Nico.

So sad to see a Hotel with Heritage values is going down the drain. I made a reservation with this hotel 24 March 2017 for In: 10 & Out: 12 August 2017. Reconfirmed my reservation with Tyrone on 02 Aug 2017 14:42. On arrival just before 7pm on 10 Aug 2017 we heard that we have been moved to Diaz Hotel. From a 4 star to a 3 star without an e-mail or phone call. Disgusting! Then we also had to cancel our reservation with a restaurant walking distance from the hotel as we moved to the other side of Mossel bay. So another company has lost money due to this hotel's management and staff were inconsiderate. This is so bad and in this way no one can ever do business. We also over this weekend heard lots of upsetting stories about this hotel. Unbelievable to know that this hotel will be going down the drain.

Had the most wonderful stay. Staff are helpful and kind and you feel cared for and looked after. The Point Hotel I would recommend to everyone that loves the sea view from your own balcony, looking at the sea and a room that caters for all your needs. Excellent!

This four-star rated hotel will make any reasonable person feel cheated. It feels outdated, untidy, and is unmaintained. To be fair, maintenance is taking place, but the standard of work is of low quality. See photos of mouldy walls and bathroom ceilings, exposed electrical points, and shoddy building work. They have few staff members who, in spite of their friendly dispositions, fail to compensate for the two-star experience that the hotel offers. Unfortunately a fraudulent experience…

Very good Hotel, sea view, lovely rooms, great breakfast with sea view. Show meany dolphins from the balcony. Lots to do, many places to eat. Beach and swimming, surfing. Lots of parking.

Extremely disgusting experience… Rude staff. No toiletries right from the day we checked … upon repeated requests too we had to literally strongly demand for the same. No response from the housekeeping person. We had 10 rooms booked for four nights out of which most had problems with the heater again for which on repeated requests no technician was sent to repair. Our people cooperated by using extra blankets… also many rooms the hot and cold water mixture was not working properly so our people again cooperated by taking bath in others rooms… AND AFTER COOPERATING ALL THE WHILE THE SHOCK WAS YET TO COME… WHEN WE CAME BACK TIRED FROM WHOLE DAY'S SIGHTSEEING. We very shockingly found two iron extra beds were placed in our rooms without our consent and in our absence fidgeting with our luggage in the process. And all this with the consent of their manager… later we had them call the local cops in whose presence the manager lady apologised… also the indian tour operator who booked us there said it is 4/5 star property … which is sadly wrong… I strongly recommend not to stay at the point hotel as it is just a lodging and boarding in service.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Point hotel. View was amazing, listening to the waves crashing all night was unreal. Spectacular view and location with the lighthouse and cave right next door. The room was perfect it was large roomy and with a balcony to watch the ocean the beautiful bathroom I couldn't have been happier. We had half board and the food was brilliant and staff were all lovely and friendly. We loved this hotel and wish we could have stayed longer.

Ideal location. You have the most amazing view of the sea and also located right next to the lighthouse. Surrounded by restaurants which is within walking distance. The rooms are fresh with updated bathrooms. Room sizes are nice and big — each room with its own balcony to relax and enjoy the sea view. Staff are very friendly and efficient. They tend to go out of their way to make one's stay more enjoyable and you leave wanting to come back to great hospitality. I loved my stay and enjoyed the food served at the hotel. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

I had the privilege to stay here for 2 glorious nights. To be in Mossel Bay is always electrifying, but to have slept here, was a thrill on it's own.
Although they were renovating this beautiful place, management and staff worked around this problem to still make sure your stay is more than pleasant. Breakfast was as lovely as was the staff who served the breakfast. Helpful and friendly, is the words to describe my arrival experience. I wish I could remember the name of the front office staff member who helped me on arrival and the nice gentleman who helped again to carry my luggage on departure. If all the staff is as helpful as them, The Point Hotel does not have to rely on the beautiful views alone, to sell this love accommodation destination. 10 out of 10

Rooms are wonderfull. Staff is friendly and very helpfull on that last minute requirements.

Location, location, location. Perfectly located hotel with immaculate views. Unfortunately this is all the hotel has to offer. Dinner was a terrible fare of overcooked poor quality food. Make alternative arrangements for dinner.
