Awesome food and the best hosts ever!. Every space in the restuarant is adorned with interesting memorabilia. And the history thereof, comically narrated by one of the owners, Rene, which kept us captivated, entertained, and in stitches. We totally outstayed our lunch session. It was our first, but definitely not our last visit. If you're luckly, you'll even get to experience Rene's singing talent.

The food was divine. Unfortunately we were seated in the sterile coffee shop. The restaurant proper has tons of atmosphere, but there was no fire to make it habitable for the few patrons on the day.

Excellent food and romantic setting for an evening meal. One of the more expensive restaurants in Yzerfontein but you are getting what you pay for so no complaints there at all .

Unfortunately our stay started then asking us to pay after already paying online for our stay. We ended up paying twice and was a mission to get refunded and then also had to pay more over and above that for kids even after mentioning we have kids and assuming the quote was for all of us. Hopefully others staying have great experiences, we unfortunately didnt.

Nice and clean, but overpriced for what it is. No Internet available. Owners need to work on their customer service skills. An arrogant attitude when requesting basic services.

Its with great sadness that I post this. What was supposed to be a wonderful weekend in Yzerfontein, ended with disappointment. We arrived late afternoon Saturday 7 May as guests at an nearby event. I checked in an immediately loved the accommodation. My 3 daughters aged 10yrs, 2yrs and 8months made themselves comfortable. After returning from the event round 8pm we headed to our room. Feeling a bit peckish, I popped into the Kaijaiki restaurant, which I thought was still open because the lights were still on and the hosts were still entertaining guests. I was greeted with resistance from the female host and told by the male host that they were already closed before I even uttered a word. I asked nicely if it was possible if they could possibly make us a few sandwiches. The look I got from the female host stunned me, and the male repeated that they were closed, even though I saw that they were still entertaining people out of the kitchen. I felt a bit dissapoined as that town dies after 7pm and we really wanted something to eat. I then returned to our room with the breaking news to the family and preceded to bed. We woke up round 9pm and being a Sunday with 3 relatively young kids decided to take it easy as our next appointment was only at 12pm. I was startled when the owner came banging on the door at 9:30, telling us that we have to be out by 10am.
