Disappointed by this hotel that is not up to the pictures. It would deserve a good refreshment to gain interest.
The apartments are not very well maintained (very damaged tiles, hair dryers and phones that do not work. ). They also allow themselves to apply for a cash deposit.
To avoid, you will find much better for the same price, and better placed!

Had only a short course there but they were amazing. The food, service and friendliness I felt like a guest staying at the hotel. Beautiful interior, great food and lovely views.

Great views of Table View, good food and comfortable rooms. Conferences here are handled very professionally with facilities to match. There's safe underground parking and the hotel's internal spaciousness contributes to a feeling of being in a small castle. Well supported by Asian tourists too!

Twas the second time we visited the hotel with an amazing view. I must say even 3 years later the service was just as good, I fact even better. I would recommend this place to anyone, anytime.

Right on the beach overlooking table mountain, lagoon beach hotel has one of the beat views in offer. With well appointed rooms and safe parking. This is also great for conferences with many different types of conferencing options. Also only 10 minds from cape Town cbd and the waterfront with shuttles that run all day. Great spa and rooftop swimming pool. Around great value for money.

Nice hotel in the suburbs of Cape Town. 15 minutes by car to the waterfront in the city. The hotel is of medium size but the corridors are very long length. The windows of the rooms overlook the road and the patio. Clean. There is free underground parking. Friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is delicious.

Stunning view. Had a function there. There was tea breaks with biscuits and different types of snacks served. The food was delicious. A buffet with different types of food, which all was tasty. Nice and clean as well. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you want to have a function or a wedding, I’d highly suggest this place.

I stayed at the Lagoon beach hotel for a week from 31 March 2018 until 7 April 2018 and I wont go back ever again. When we got to the room there were dead insects scattered around the bedrooms and the bathrooms, as well as in the bed itself. The kitchen had dirty dishes and the cupboards smelled terrible when we opened them. The second room had no hangars and the safe didn't even have the locking mechanism on it so it was obviously broken but nobody bothered to fix it. After the first night when I woke up I noticed my duvet had large blood stains along The bottom and I asked the receptionist to make sure it was replaced with a clean duvet, but when I went to bed the next night the same duvet was still there even though the cleaner most likely saw it and simply tucked it under the sheet. One night I ordered room service for 2 brownies and after half an hour the receptionist phoned back to tell me that the chef did not have any more brownies in the kitchen (this was around 5 p. M) There was a little breakfast menu in our room which you can hang on your door to have breakfast delivered to your room the next morning and when we did this, nothing happened, the menu wasn't even taken from our door. The following day we went to reception to enquire as to whether we might have misunderstood the procedure for this and the receptionist said that he will deliver our order to the kitchen personally for our breakfast the following morning.

One of the best places to see the sunset and the table mountain. A definite visit to this place. The hotel itself is okay, with lack of staff. But the views are amazing.

Nothing wrong with this hotel. Superb view of Table Mountain. One challenge is it has lots of conference facilities and the pool area is in front of the bar so if you want to tan expect suits to be watching you.

This is a 5 star hotel and as such it offers nothing short of a luxury hotel. It's overlooking the ocean and breakfast when the sun rises or dinner when it sets is amazing… If you are in a royal suit, like I was, then you get views of the sea, signal hill and table mountain. This is the perfect hotel by the ocean. The quality is a little close to 12Apostles.

Hotel in itself very nice also the breakfast is good. Unfortunately, yesterday in our room we were taken out of the suitcase all the cash. We communicated this directly to the hotel manager, who nonetheless very politely and acted directly. Now the card reader of the door has been evaluated — wait and see what comes out of it. I guess we're not going to get the money back. Just annoying and unacceptable!

Friendly helpful staff, location is great for views of table mountain and the sea. Great beach bar reasonably priced bar snacks and drinks with a great frozen margarita. Buffet breakfast is well stocked too with plenty of hot, cold selections fruit etc. Self catering apartments offer flexibility but no Aircon, and was hot when we stayed. Free shuttle to v&a. Good place to use as a base and would recommend a rental car, as other than maestro's up the beach and the Thai restaurant on the end of the building, there isn't too much more in walking distance.

Hotel and facilities as well as gastronomy are good the staff is not very friendly even with half board you have to book otherwise there is nothing in the restaurant hotel is overbooked.

Great views of the beach and Table Mountain. Service is good and the venue is clean and neat. A great place to meet for business or casual encounter with friends.

Decided to do a weekend away with my son before school starts. Checked in at reception they were very helpful. Our room was amazing with fantastic views. We had a fantastic time chilling by the pools on the roof deck as well as on ground floor close to the bar. We enjoyed evening walks on the beach and dinning at the Brassiere restaurant. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very safe for kids my son was treated well and enjoyed every minute in the pool. I would definitely recommend this hotel to Families, Solo's or for Business.

Good location in the city, two pools, small gym, restaurant and bar, right on the beach, makes a sure impression. Overall, a larger plant.

Great hotel with great views across to Table Mountain. Rooms have all the usual amenities and a nice large bathroom area. Food is first class and the service good also. Staff will go out of their way to help you if you have any concerns.

The hotel is situated on the beach. You can lie in the swimming pool and have both an ocean view and a table mountain view. The pics on their website is true. It is really as beautiful as they show it is. I will go back and not stay in any other hotel in Cape Town again. The breakfast is also great with the best pastries to choose from. Though the hotel might be a bit pricey, it is really worth the money.

4 stars hotel with a great infrastructure. The rooms are huge and with a lot of style. The rooms are around 35square meters, with bath and shower. The design is good and the internet signal very good. The breakfast is full of nice things, and with the view to the beach. The swimming pool is also with a great view to the table mountain. I really recommend this hotel. Location wise is 10min by car to the city center of cape town.

A hotel that gives you the choice to sleep in a room with the aircon blocked at 25 or sleep on cushions on your terrace. That's how you're treated.
Really disappointed with this reaction at 11pm, knowing Sue I had reported this problem when I arrived at 6pm.

Went to a wedding at this beautiful on the beach Hotel. Food was awesome. Service excellent. Wedding devine with awesome views of Table Bay and Table Mountain.

Lovely staff, however DO NOT stay here with small children and/or babies. It is primarily a conference centre which is fine during the day BUT they party till MIDNIGHT! Hard, loud music that our (specifically selected and paid for) sea view room literally vibrated for the entire evening. Worst evening ever. They clearly knew this event was happening in advance yet said nothing. So unimpressed.

We love the Lagoon Beach Hotel. It is a home away from home. Alex Nadia and the hundreds of other staff go above and beyond to ensure a fantastic stay. I'm always sad to leave and can't wait for our return. If you are looking for warm hospitality, beautiful views and the best beach, this is where you should stay! The bonus is that it's very easy to navigate all around the city and peninsula from here.

Property needs attention to detail. Function attended also needed some attention to detail as no provision was made for tables at lunch. Food provided was very good as well as the pastries on arrival.

Had very nice cocktails overlooking the beach. Service was nice and friendly. We ordered the nachos as a little snack which were TERRIBLE, then we ordered the. Beef sliders which were very tasty! So if you go, order cocktails and just make sure to stay away from the nachos =)

Hotel is good. Food is great. Just one bad experience with the wait staff too busy chatting with friends rather than doing her job. I'll be eating in the bar next time I come.

Awesome Beach to find fossilised shark teeth. Uncrowded Surfing spot with nice Sandbanks, Kayak trips on the Lagoon, Historic Bicycle Tours, Kite surfers paradise and too much to mention. The Pub is a must visit for Sundowners.

It was great and the staff was friendly and very helpful. Definitely a great hotel to visit, view was amazing.

Rooms are failry nice, and the staff is fairly nice. But this should *not* be advertised as a "conference hotel". The only temperature controlled room available for meetings/coffee/workspace (the beach bar/ library area) has any and all sporting events on exceptionally loudly. (Literally — any sporting event. Why do we need women's cricket on so loudly that you can hear it in the lobby? ). Working other spaces in the hotel was not particularly an option, as the lobby and hallways were not temperature controlled — — somewhat of a problem in winter when the air is quite chilly and your hands get a bit numb while trying to type.

It's an amazing place which provides a good view of Waterfront fire works on new year's eve, despite that its jus a unique site with awesome beach, hotel and restaurants. L love lagoon. It provides both temporary and permanent accommodation. Wang Thai restaurant is another delicious meal provider at lagoon beach.

The best thing about this hotel is the location and the views. We stayed in a suite which was super large but very poor lighting. Great interior design choices. Not kept fastidiously clean — definitely room for improvement. The bathroom could use revamp from the colour scheme to the broken cupboards. A lovely coffee machine but alas no cups to use with it. The interaction with the staff was unfortunate. They could all be trained to be more knowledgeable, better spoken and friendly. Only the Food and beverage manager showed any friendliness or helpfulness. Staff are very noisy at breakfast creating a lot of noise with cutlery and dishes and making it impossible to relax and enjoy that view. Also coffee is cold and lack of all utensils indicate lack of attention to detail. However there is a great breakfast menu and our porter was very friendly and helpful. And did I mention that awesome sea view.

I love the place for its great view, great food and friendly staff members. It has a great resting area outside but the rooms with balconies that are overlooking the sea are the best.

Amazing hotel with even more amazing Cape Town views! Recommended for conferencing and overnight stays.

A very disappointing experience. Outdated four star hotel in every possible way. Had to change rooms because of a leak and no shower head and they wanted us to wait until they could buy what was necessary for repairs two days later. Had to push for room change. Key room stopped working twice and no immediate assistance. Refund for skydiving activity that was cancelled took two days. Very poor service quality overall. Bar is nice though with good bartenders. Views are the only thing really worth it. Otherwise not worth the money at all.

Beautiful view of the sea. Attended a conference here and got a spectacular breakfast for just R35! Food took some time to come after I'd told the waitress I was in a hurry. I asked the manager if I could pay with him, whereafter he said there was something wrong with the card machine, gave the exact machine to the waitress, with which she helped me without hassle. This I found to be somewhat strange. Excessive pollen blows around outside the hotel in March.

Excellent place to relax… Direct beach access. 3 on-site restaurants, catering for all tastes. There is a Brasserie, a pool-side bar and the trendy La Mizu beach bar offering views of the Atlantic Ocean and Robben Island. Guests can relax by the outdoor pool, use the 24-hour gym or enjoy a range of relaxation treatments at the hotel's Camelot Spa, including massages, facials and body wraps. Awesome food and drinks. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. I loved it.

Filthy! Stayed with family over December 2011 and the room looked dirty, the walls were marked, the cupboard door falling off, there was no water pressure when taking a shower. The furniture and carpets had marks, including cigarette burns. I don't know how this can be called a 4-star establishment, what a disgrace.

Absolute disgrace. This establishment packed its rooms with Nigerians who have taken over lagoonbeach and are a law unto themselves. Some fat dude walks around with a bellhop trolley, distributing food in old pick 'n pay bags to each room every evening. They bring suspicious women into the flats and party up to 5am some mornings. Avoid this hellole at all costs.
