The hospitality and the gourmet food are world class! It’s was an anniversary treat and it lived up to our expectations. Gazing at the shooting stars from the majestic terrace at night sipping local champagne was a moment in time etched forever in our memories! Thank you Andrew and Nell.

Staying here for the 3rd time so must be good, beautiful house and gardens. Full of antiques and lovely things, Large bedrooms and bathrooms and so very peaceful. It is a good base for touring or just sitting and watching the birds. Nells food is top notch and Andrew makes you feel like you are really staying with friend's for a few days.

Great people nice atmosphere. Definitely a good stay. Thank you Andrew and Nelly.

We decided to dodge the public holiday traffic from Plett by stopping over in Calitzdorp and doing some wine tasting. Staying with Andrew and Nell was just perfect. They have a wonderful guest house with great facilities and beautiful views. Made us feel very welcome. Thank you for your hospitality.

You will never go wrong to stay over! Andrew and Nellie are the perfect hosts. They have beautiful views, extremely comfortable rooms, dinner was amazing, and of course Clitzdorp has some of the best wines! Thank you so much, Calitzdorp Country House is a home away from home!

Thank you Nell and Andrew Rogers. We had an absolutely amazing holiday at the very under rated little town and surroundings of Calitzdorp. It was very eventful and with the knowledge you have about your town it was very informative. Not a minute wasted nor a wasted drop of wine, lol. Thank you to Andrew & Nell for helping us celebrate our 11 year anniversary at your most special spot in style … from the food to the the views, meeting the local wine-making talent, the great advice on the local hidden gems to visit and most importantly the laughs & good wine & conversation & the professional service — the nicest holiday we've had thus far in Calitzdorp (or ever for that matter) — we will definitely be back to share more laughs & wine at our "home away from home" — wished we could have stayed ;)

On Tuesday 22 March two long-standing friends, Dr Ken Esterhuizen and Dr James Elias, stayed over the night at this outstanding lodge. Andrew and Nell served as relaxed and efficient hosts, making themselves constantly available to the guests that night. The food and wine were excellent, the conversation funny and stimulating, the room setting delightful and restful (and spotlessly clean! ). The one problem was that as we had "booked ahead" we were not able to stay a further night or two. From our side — highly commendable!

Thank you Andrew and Nellie for wonderful stay in your Country House, we were made very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house and surroundings are lovely and Nellie's cooking superb! Good luck with your tours Andrew they sound wonderful. Hope to see you again…

We stayed briefly at Calitzdorp Country House on a recent business trip along the R62. What a pleasure! Owned and run by Nell and Andrew, CC House is comfortable, stylish and homely. Deliberately reduced from a 5 star grading to 4 star for the sake of comfort (absolutely the right thing to do), this is a beautiful house with spacious rooms and gorgeous views. (There is some fabulous art work on the walls from South African artists. ) Breakfast is also a work of art, thanks to Nell's previous catering experience (her breakfast fruit platter is to die for! ) Andrew and Nell are helpful, relaxed people who know the local area, are involved with the local people and will help guests with suggestions and ideas about what to do, where to go, what to see and where to eat. Calitzdorp Country House is well worth a visit and we are delighted to include it in our holiday itineraries. Jan Dunbar Parkers African Travel December 2014.
