Great stay, comfy bed, superb breakfast We have stayed in Bushbaby River Lodge for a part of our honeymoon, and this place, although listed as 4, really is a 5star accommodation. The Leopard room is really spacious and luxurious, everything is really clean and the staff minds all little details like lighting candles on the deck in front of the room, when they expect you to arrive back to the lodge after a day tour. Yvette really went out of her way to arrange safaris and tours for us! We saw impala, wildebeast and even giraffe right outside our room, and at night you can hear hyenas cry. But the best thing about our stay must be the breakfast. Not a buffet, but made to order and served, what a choices, and delicious.

4 star B&B with at least 5 star ambience. Free roaming wildlife.

Yvette is an excellent hostess. The lodge itself is peaceful and tranquil. The rooms are clean and spacious. It's a "home" away from home and we will certainly be back. Thank you so much Yvette, staff, zebras, buck and warthog for an amazing long weekend ❤

The lodge is very new and well kept. The owners prepared a lovely braai for us at night. We had "visitors" such as porcupines, zebras and kudus, which was quite cool. Staff was super friendly. We did some mountain biking at the reserve where the lodge is located (they rent out bikes). Lovely bedrooms and ambiance. Kruger is one hour away, very easy to reach from the lodge.

This is a dream location, close to the Kruger National Park. The serenity, luxury and excellent service and hospitality of Edgar and Yvette will make your stay here wonderful. We highly recommend this amazing place, it is a gem. Thank you so much Edgar and Yvette!

5 star staff service. Quiet, which can't be said about other "5 star" lodges. Comfort was excellent.

Hoedspruit is a beautiful place but Bushbaby River Lodge made my experience even better. I must say the drive was worth it. We arrived to a warm welcome from Yvette Hes, the staff members are kind & very friendly. The lion room is stunning, I would not mind sleeping there again. Their food rates are affordable, I love the concept of cold beverages ready & waiting for you in the mini bar fridge as well as the outdoor shower, its to die for. On the other hand, waking up and seeing animals just roaming around is breath-taking. I definitely want to go back, we have unfinished business with Bushbaby River Lodge and Hoedspruit. Thank you Bushbaby River Lodge for making our weekend away remarkable. Keep up the outstanding hospitality.

Really had here one of the most amazing stays ever! The place is in the middle of the bush, surrounded by animals. Saw zebra's, Nyalas, giraffes, so close! Never imagined I was able to pay something like this! I will recommend this to everyone! A cheap wild life experience!

It is a amazing place with amazing people, was the best lodge I have seen in my live. I don't have words to thank the help during my planing of trip and the reception in South Africa. The rooms are wonderful and the breakfast pretty deliciousos. The localization is near to the city, great to do all the activities in Hoespruit. Thank you to the awesome folks at Bushbaby River Lodge for your hospitality and a wonderful getaway this weekend. The rooms are really beautiful and luxurious and we really loved all the attention to detail throughout the lodge. We enjoyed drinks in the tranquil surrounds on the viewing deck while listening to all the sounds of nature as the sun set and even got to see the resident porcupine which was really exciting. The breakfast was amazing, the staff are very friendly and the service is excellent… we look forward to coming back soon!

I still have a big smile on my face when I think about our stay. The owners Yvette and Edgard seem to have thought about every single detail, which really makes the Bushbaby River Lodge a place we want to return to. The room feels even more spacious than expected from the photos, very clean and the bed is PERFECT! Falling asleep with a cry of an hyena in the background after a nice night around the fire. What else do you need? :) But there is more: The breakfast is extensive and so so so delicious! So much to choose from and freshly made just for you. We really enjoyed the activities in the area, which they helped us choose and arrange. The pool area (the relaxing beds are great! ) and the deck are nice to spend some of your lazy hours.
