Awesome time if you enjoy a pub vibe and the being able to crawl upstairs to your room. Stayed in room 10 but unfortunately no ghosts appeared. Friendly staff and a good place to stay if you're doing the midmar.

Breakfast was great. Our room was comfortable. It is a great choice for a stop-over.

Cosy place with good food and a nice fireplace in the bar. Can get very busy and loud until early morning hours though… rooms are clean and comfortable.

Hotel rooms are comfortable and neat (a bit old school). Food is excellent. The Notties Pub is a rollicking good place for a drink and a boogy… Pic is from Gowrie Farm golf course down the road (great place for golf)!

Comfortable hotel with breakfast and full restaurant menu including a bar. Large gardens to relax in. Close proximity to the berg and loads of walks and great photography.

Old hotel. Beautiful. Staff are pretty good. Rooms were really nice. Plenty of heating when required. Very central with shops and lots of restaraunts nearby. Exceptionally good value for money. Wonderful breakfast. Recommend staying in a garden suit but rooms are also large and comfortable.

Friendly service. Awesome midlands pub atmosphere. Great food. Had a great time with family at the hotel.

We came for a Sunday lunch and I must say it is a lovely restaurant with great daily specials, craft beer and heritage.

Hotel is lovely… clean and relxibg. Just what I needed. Bar is awesome too.

We were lucky it was dead, warm and great weather. Close to getting you deep into the Berg. Great Base to operate from with loads of restaurants and bars just minutes away. The Hotel also serves food and has a bar. Rooms were clean and neat staff were hmm. OK as mentioned it was dead there… big bathrooms with lovely bath and shower options. Breakfast was basic but good.

They have a great atmosphere. Accommodation is tidy and clean. Buffet breakfast is also sufficient.

Wow. Stayed here many times. Quaint place coz I luv the English mythology about the Sherwood Forest. I roomed next door to the mythical ghost. I think I heard a sound that night. Oooo.

Restaurant food is excellent. Perfect for going for a drive and having a Sunday Lunch. Need to book though because it does get busy.

We came back to the Nottingham Road hotel due to the absolutely amazing pizza we had here about a month ago. Sadly, the chef seems to have departed and we went from an expectation of a special culinary experience to major disappointment and hardly able to finish something that was nowhere close to the original experience.

I love this historic hotel, popped in today for lunch, on our way back to Joburg. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing, I ordered an open sandwich with beef, veggies and roast potatoes — a bit like a Sunday roast on toasted home made bread — bread was lovely but the 'roast potatoes' were oily home made crisps served in a tiny metal bucket, beef was tough and fatty, veggies were great if you have a baby marrow fettish.

To die for! We will never go anywhere else in the Midlands. You people… everyone of you are absolutely amazing. Lots of love and a Happy Chriatmas to all of you. John and Marina Parker.

Always enjoy a night here. Pub service is well above average with friendly locals and good food.

Beautiful little hotel described as a pub with rooms. Rooms are quaint I was impressed with what you get for the price. Good selection of TV channels. Breakfast included unless specified. They have eggs Benedict which is a plus.

Stayed here on more than one occasion and this hotel is beautiful, charmed in history. Our last stay, however, was disrupted with noise from visitors to the pub until about 01h00 in the morning. They have to decide whether they want to be an allnight revellers pub or a decent short stay, characterful hotel.

A charming hotel building steeped in history. I did not stay here, but popped in for a quick sundowner. Highly charming, cosy pub, with a very established look. Friendly staff, and neatly kept outside seating area. Daily food and drink specials on offer. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

The food at the restaurant is amazing and good value for money. The room we stayed in was nice.

Great venue for a midlands golf tour. Well run and organised hotel.

Haven't seen the ghost yet but there's one window of the hotel that gets very cold and misted up when all of the others are normal. Creepy.

"Notties" as it is affectionally known, is home to an amazing pub. Laid back with a blazing fire in winter. Popular with locals & tourists. Food is good to.

Just piped in for a beer. They are dog friendly which was a bonus.
