Best service and it is very safe.

The spa experience was extremely unpleasant, the staff had attitude when requesting for a softer massage which had to be done 3 times during the session. My niece had a manicure done and asked the staff if having lunch before using the swimming facilities will allow enough time for drying which they confirmed would be fine. After swimming her nail polish lifted which needed to be fixed — they had a problem with this and after much complaint on their part insisting that she probably didn’t give it enough time to dry, they eventually agreed with attitude but corrected the problem at reception which is extremely unprofessional. After all of this, we are still waiting for a response from the management from a call made on Monday.

The place is beautiful and perfect for any occasion, I was very disappointed that the hotel was not wheelchair friendly and the Reception lady (Caroline) at the Spa was rude and didn’t help us with our treatment and we got poor treatment even on our sessions! I’m not happy at all with the service at the SPA.

It is a stunning hotel — really beautiful.
However over the weekend we were celebrating a friends kitchen tea.
When we got there nothing had been set up.
Service was also very slow, waited about 40 min for 2 bottles of champagne we ordered.
Eventually had to pour it ourself.
The bills were never brought when we asked for it, only when we were leaving new ones kept appearing. Looking for the waiter most of the time. We wanted the room we had booked for ourselves — instead we had to share it with another party. Didn’t feel like we were looked after at all. For the continental breakfast — I had to ask for cutlery to cut the cheese — the Parma ham was not cut — and there was no knife to cut it myself. None of the food was replenished after other guests had had breakfast.
We were promised water with strawberries and cucumber on the table — this was all paid for — instead I had to order the water and pay R232 for 4 bottles of water. And it was a huge issue for the waiter that could not figure out on whose bill they should be put.
I was going to book for my anniversary in March when I walked into the hotel — I decided against it when I walked out.

I was given a gift voucher for the spa and was booked with Portia — who I highly recommend, she was so accommodating and has magic hands! The full body massage was incredible followed by a relaxing pedi. This hotel and Spa is spectacular! The setting speaks for its self. What a treat!

We celebrated our first wedding anniversary at this lovely hotel. The room was incredible and sparkling clean, the spa treatment was great with a wonderful ambiance and the food was delicious. Unfortunately the service we received was grossly disappointing. We had to confirm our order 4 times with the waiter, had to ask him to clear our plates, waited 20 minutes just to get a menu and even longer for our drinks, to name a few of the unpleasantries. The very poor service detracts significantly from the overall experience.

Treated my daughters and daughter in law to a spa afternoon. Ambiance, decor, gardens and pool area is so beautifully set out. The treatments were excellent and the food, well SO yummy. We will be back. Feeling relaxed and ready to keep fighting the good fight. Thank you Fairlawn staff for a perfect afternoon.

The atmosphere is peaceful and the staff are friendly. The setting is breathtakingly beautiful. We went to the Amuse Bouche restaurant and were extremely satisfied with our food. It was fine dining at its best. Delicious, beautiful food that actually fills you up. I would definitely go there again!

This is my gorgeous hideout place. Whenever I'm in Sandton and need time to myself, great meal or just lovely time with a friend enjoying high tea this is the place. Its gorgeous, quaint and the service it absolutely amazing. I'm. Yet to try their rooms.

Happy to share my spa and lunch experience here at Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa. The hotel and grounds are truly beautiful even on dry and cold winter’s day in Johannesburg. I loved the interior and my salmon pasta lunch on the veranda overlooking the pool and surrounding grounds was peaceful and pleasant. The spa area is being renovated and I will be back for a more complete experience. My therapist was friendly and skilled and I left feeling well spoilt and relaxed.

The service staff are warm and friendly. But there was a confusion with the room when we checked-in and technical problem with the room key machine. Room: The suite room is very large with nice jacuzzi, fire place and balcony. Ventilation system is a-bit noisy. The maintenance of the hotel can be better. The herb crusted lamb was a disappointment. Lack of seasoning and protein is almost well done. However the buffet food on the overall is good. It is pricey but considering the facility and service, it is not too bad. On the overall it is nice hotel with good service. Will come back again.

What a gem! And to think such a tranquil place exists in the middle of Sandton. The restaurant was divine, the wine chilled the ambiance just right. I will be a regular that's for sure…

Perfect for functions. Well equipped spacious conference rooms. Restaurant has a "colonial club house feel with a funcky bar. Beautiful pool area and well maintained grounds giving it a truly upper class feeling.

The rooms are truly a work of art. Every room is unique. The beds are extremely comfortable. The hotel restaurant however was sub par. The food was terrible, and so was the service. There is also unfortunately no other restaurants close by without transportation… If the hotel and rooms themselves weren't a work of art, I would have rated it lower.

Well kept secret. One wouldn't suspect that such a place exists when you come from the street. What a gorgeous hotel spa and restaurant. The spa on its own is a must go. Friendly staff in all sections. Superlative lawn and well kept vegetation. Attractive menu with lots to choose from. One don't want to leave this place!

Great restaurant and tranquil ambiance. The food is presented well, but taste is a let down. I ordered medium beef fillet and received it well done. BIGGEST LET DOWN IS THAT STAFF MEMBERS ARE NOT RECEIVING THEIR TIPS! Fortunately I had cash to tip our waiter who gave us excellent service.

The rooms here are massive and very comfortable. The facilities include a conference venue and that is well equipped and very comfortable indeed. The place has a very good level of service as well so quite good. It has its benefits but is a boutique hotel, and as such would not have all the facilities that you would. Find in a 5 start hotel like. 24 hour room service. But I very much enjoyed the stay.

Such a beautiful place, I picked to spend thr 1st half of my birthday there. The Spa is to die for, 5 star everything! If you have never been there, please do the right thing and pop in.

Hidden gem in Sandton! I was blown away with the place. The room was immaculate, the service top notch and the food was to die for. With the complimentary drinks in the bar fridge, chocolates during turn down, fruits and Sherry — I cannot fault this place in anyway. Staff were super friendly, from the check in desk to the massage therapists (Sonto & Tsakane). These ladies were incredible, they listened to the type of massage I wanted and did not hurt me. David, our waiter during supper was just as friendly and served us delicious food with a smile. The property is stunning and well maintained. I'll definitely be back!

Quite exclusive, very elegant, excellent service. This hotel is exclusive and tucked away in a very private Sandton suburb giving you the so much desired tranquillity, peace and quiet that will soothe one's spirit. A place to be, even for an umpteenth honeymoon! It will seem like the first!

Hotel is nice. Service is mediocre. Asked front desk for items twice I never received. Room had no hand soap or coffee. Did not replenishment items in mini bar. Super slow service in restaurant. Nice gardens and rooms.

This is an excellent place to enjoy the luxury of a place near to your home but far from the hustle of the city life. You can relax near the pool side, you can have a relaxing spa experience or can enjoy great drinks or buffet at the restaurant and Muse. Loved this place a lot and each room is well decorated to keep the upmarket look. The decor is awesome. Would love to stay and visit soon again. Cheers.
