Excellent place with very good local food. Staff is friendly and professional and the local products are just amazing! Do not miss the strudel a highlight!

Perfect restaurant to taste varied Slovenian food, well cooked and quality, to enjoy in a spacious, welcoming and well-groomed environment.
There are indoor or outdoor tables protected by umbrellas, from which you can enjoy a view of the roofs of the country!
The menu is very varied, well understood and also written in Italian with a huge choice. In any case the staff is available to explain the details.
Great attention to children, from start to finish, with many small details dedicated to them (pencils and sheets to draw, straws in glasses, lollipops.
Really pleasant environment, nice restaurant to eat well!
Prices are a bit strong but corresponding to the quality offered.
I would go back very willingly, I recommend it to all those who want to spend a little, to treat themselves well!
After eating you can visit for free their museum (which provides instead a small share for external visitors who have not consumed) of the "gingerbread" of which they have long and famous tradition. It is really worth seeing how they prepare this traditional dessert and buy something to taste or take away as a souvenir! Great quality here too!

A great place to get to know Slovenian cuisine! The chef, aka the manager, treats the visitors with soul. Sometimes he plays on a harmonica sponge — a beautiful sight! This restaurant has ancient traditions! It's delicious!

One of the most welcoming and homely restaurants I've been to. From the initial gentleman who showed us downstairs to where they make their traditional and famous gingerbread cookies, to the waiter who explained the different food on the menu, to the other waiter who live streamed a world cup football game on his own phone for us to watch. And then there's the food — lots of traditional options to choose from, which don't disappoint. Would have been nice to have time for dessert!

Great after so many I go back to this restaurant always gladly the prices are above average but it is worth the thought, great service food also and owner and very nice waiters.

Beautiful Historic Place! You eat very well.

The first reason to visit this Gostilna is that it is a bit of a museum and to enter its rooms, it allows to know the beautiful tradition of Gingerbread in the shape of heart given by the young people of the country to the girls who still did not have a husband. From the gastronomic point of view a lot of traditional dishes, maybe some a bit ' expensive, but worth trying.

An enchantingly old restaurant and hotel in the midst of Radovljica's charming old town centre. Very nice, helpful staff and great food in a traditional Slovenian setting. Would definitely recommend to all!

This place is absolutely amazing. The food is delicious, I mean really, everything is fresh and super tasty. Great portions as well, the lectar for example is massive! The service was lovely and very efficient and the ambiance is perfect. If you are around, don't look further, that's the place to go.

The dinner we had as a tour group was delicious — — salad, mushroom soup in a bread, fish with potatoes, and 3 slices of desserts. The father and son-in-law entertained us with their singing and musical instruments. Before dinner, there's a presentation on how they make gingerbread cookies — a family tradition and business.

We stayed (and ate) there for 3 days and could not recommend it enough. The food is hearty and perfect after a day's hike and the room, while sparse, is nice and cozy (they also allowed dogs, which was key for us). Only minor complaint is that because it's on a pedestrian street, parking in the courtyard can be difficult but it's not Lectar's fault. We will certainly be back.

Nice ambient in the restaurant. Traditional Slovenian cuisine, food is delicious. Quite a few smaller dining rooms. Waiters can be a bit slow.

Delicious home made traditional alpine cuisine. The cozy interior is in village traditions. For 10 years, the level of quality of service and food is at a high level. Prices are above the average for the region of Gorensk. The restaurant is family-run. Not network.

A legendary traditional Slovenian restaurant. The staff is super friendly and the food is very good. You feel like at home. The only issue I have are the prices. Not suitable for eating on a budget. Soups are 5 to 8 €, main dishes 15 to 25€, salads 7 to 12€. Side dishes are perhaps most affordable with prices around 3 to 4€. I would really recommend their mulled wine though. It's the best I've ever had and the cheapest thing on the menu — costs 1, 5€ for 2dcl. If you have money to spend you will most certainly love this place except for maybe the toilet which I would give 3 stars at most. It's ok for a regular restaurant but not ok for one with prices such as Lectar. The urinal is runny, the equipment is not rustic but simply old. Other than that I love this place. They also have a museum of lectovo hearts (the traditional hand made heart made of dough, coloured and decorated. ) They also have workshops in it to teach you how to make one.

I didn't think such a small town would have such a characteristic and delicious restaurant, very suitable for Chinese taste, cheap and sufficient, strongly recommended, five stars!

The restaurant is quaint and the small museum laboratory is worth a visit. The historical centre of the town offers a glimpse of the eighteenth century and the main street is very characteristic. It is absolutely worth visiting the Rich Beekeeping museum where you can admire a hive in full activity. A lot of places to eat with prices for all budgets. Well worth a visit… In my case it was two. To see also the beautiful church whose restoration should have been completed. From the Belvedere you queue a spectacular view of the valley below. Many green areas.

Great authentic hotel to stay at while visiting Radovljica. The food was great, with a view to top it all off. Would definitely stay here again if I'm in the region. Friendly staff! Edit: wrote the review before breakfast. Breakfast was a plus. Homemade honey and jam are a must try.

A fantastic terrace where you will taste the traditional Slovenian cuisine.

We visited the Biscuits museum, where they explain the whole process of making the gingerbread cookies. It's a funny place, I think it's worth a visit. If you want to explain the process you have to pay 1 or 2 euro, I do not remember well.

The food is good and is characteristic but it is really expensive.

Probably one of the oldest guesthouses in the region, Lectar has been around since forever. The food it provides is not too expensive, especially if you consider the very high quality of it. I don't know how good the beds are, but given that the location is the dead center of the town, sleeping there is surely an experience.
