Lovely weekend stay with family at this beautiful pension. The lodging and room accommodations were very clean, comfortable and perfectly suited for a relaxing weekend at Lake Bled. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with lots of options catering to all preferences. We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant and would highly recommend eating there. Our waiter for the evening was fantastic and offered great suggestions on local wines and entre options. To top it off the staff were friendly, welcoming and offered their knowledge and assistance in answering any questions or requests.

Impressive penzion, a bit expensive dinner, but otherwise good location to the nearby Lake Bled.

We visited only the restaurant and my rating is only about it. Presentation was very good and that's about everything good I can say about this restaurant. Menu was very limited (e. G. The only salad in the menu was "seasonal salad" — bravo chef — really creative) and very pricey (e. G. Chicken main or pasta at about 20 eur). Majority of the food was bland, flavorless and with lack of character. My wife waited 1:15 h for her first and only dish (a fish). Service was polite, but cold and very inattentive — nobody ever came to ask if we need anything and we were on a constant "hunt" for a waiter. There was no set of salt and pepper on the table and we had to first wait for 5 min to catch a passing waiter and then wait some more for him to find possibly the only set in the restaurant. When we asked for paper towels/ tissues we got kitchen paper. Overall very low value for money and great disappointment in comparison with more than dozen restaurants in variety of different price categories (from cheap Chinese to Michelin star restaurant) we visited in central Europe on our tour.

We went to the restaurant only. The food was perfect (5/5) ; refined, very nicely presented. Wine selection also very good; their local beer excellent. However, the service was not without fault (3/5). Extremely slow — almost an hour between courses in the tasting menu; more than two hours for the meal for those who ordered other than tasting menu (I know this kind of order is a nightmare for the chef). I guess the kitchen was understaffed, thus unable to deliver the food in acceptable time. When we complained the — otherwise very nice and professional — waiter became very arrogant, instead of apologising for the delay he started blaming us ordering different courses. We left with a bit of bad feeling (despite the excellent food). I do not think it happens often, it was a bad day. Nevertheless, next time in Bled we will give a second try!

You check into the hotel as a guest and leave as a part of the family. Luka's hospitality was nothing less than first class! The pepper spread is amazing and I recommend spreading it on your eggs. The breakfast area is warm and cozy; I stayed for two hours just admiring the décor. I am already booking my next stay.

Tasting menu highly recommended.

We stayed at Penzion Berc over Christmas and had a wonderful time. Mika and his staff were excellent and could not have been more friendly and helpful. He took us to different places of interest making suggestions of where to go which was great. This converted farmhouse is traditional and cosy while still has all you would expect from top hotel, great breakfast too.

The ambience is delightful, staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their offerings and the food was unforgettable. Made our older children feel welcome and our party feel special. A lovely pianist also played whilst we dined which added to our experience under the moonlight.

Bled is a beautiful city, but what made our holiday in Bled even more memorable is our stay at Penzion Berc.
Miha was a superb host and his recommendations on first day were brilliant. He made us feel like a family during our 3 night stay in Bled.
The hotel staff was friendly and the hospitality we received was beyond our expectations. The property is fab and extremely well maintained, the dinner at fine dine restaurant is an experience we will never forget and the daily breakfast is the perfect start you need for your day! Special mention — Home made Nutella which they will be putting up for sale very soon. It is a MUST buy!

Very friendly staff, the place was warm and felt like home. Beautiful garden as well. Food was so delicious, from main dish to dessert. It's hard to find that kind of place. I definitely recommend it to everyone!
