Basically the best Scotch eggs in Asia. Not many competitors in the Scotch egg game, but if they existed they wouldn’t be as good. Strong.

Below average food and terrible terrible terrible service standards. Totally unwelcoming to non whites — pathetic in this day and age. I notice dozens of positive reviews about fellow named Andy — all appear fake paid reviews and people are too gullible to understand and still visit this dump. Incredible.

Facility : no housekeeping due to covid 19 is understandable but no tissue or bedroom slippers is provided
Interior :
1) I honestly hated that wooden flooring, nails were popping out in the shared living space, room entrance and near the closet in the room while one of the plank is removable near the entrance. Spacing between the wood is big enough for dust/ food/ insects to stay and it is definitely hard to clean. Had to wear socks the whole time to protect my feet and I felt worried for my parents as my dad had already injured his feet recently.
2) The wardrobe door doesnt close.
3) No bidet available at the toilet bowl cabinet (especially important for my muslim sister and briddesmaid and make up artist and relative visitor)
Breakfast : no breakfast provided on a last minute change to new phase 2 but restaurant at lvl 1 is still open for delivery? it dont make sense at all.

Loved their Bubble and Squeak and the whole English pub vibe. Will definitely be back to try more offerings on the menu.

Absolutely Appalled by the treatment my friend got from the owner as we came for brunch yesterday. I had booked for me and my 2 girlfriends in advance and informed them that I'm pregnant and requested a more comfortable chair, knowing very well that their set-up is such that some chairs are quite uncomfortable. That morning one of the girls had to stay home with her sick infant so we were down to 2 pax which my friend informed them when she arrived on time. Apparently our betrayal of coming with one less person was changing the whole business and she was yelled at in front of everyone and then we were stuck on a table outside in the heat, without a fan on a super hard wooden chair with nowherw else to go knowing very well that everything else would be full. Being pregnant and hungry we ate there and got no compensation for the treatment, not even a coffee, and I am making it my mission to inform EVERYONE regarding this incident! How a man can use his position like that just cause 1 cover of MAX 50 bucks is "lost". Absolutely shameless and I'm at a loss for words!

Had a wonderful meal at Rabbit Carrot Gun this evening! Not only was the food delicious, the service was fantastic as well. Special thanks to Andy and his colleague tonight for their attentive service, made us feel comfortable with their sense of humour. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the food, and will be back for sure!

Really friendly staff, big smile, great ambiance & tasty food! Was surprised to have a staff cracked a joke to me "Are you Charlie? Because you have 3 angels" (I was with my Wife, Sis-in-Law & Mum-in-Law) super funny! Felt really welcomed. And the staff explains and shows their specials to us too! You rarely get that experience. Enjoyed my time at Rabbit's Carrot Gun. My favourites are the Chocolate Milkshake, Scotch Egg & Beef Wellington! Must try! Kudos to you all!

A hidden Jem tucked away in Katong, famous for the Scotch Egg. Solely visited to have a bite of it and also ordered a smoothie to go with it. Best described, Scotch Egg is sausage meat fried to a perfect crisp on the outside but still juicy on the inside, wrapped around an egg with a molten centre. And to say it is the best version I have had. And the smoothie was a super fresh blend of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, banana and coconut water. I would love to try the other dishes next time as they seemed quite inviting.

One of the best scotch eggs I have ever had and I will highly recommended it.

Richard and his team are fun, welcoming, professional and above all, reasonable people. We have just spent a fabulous afternoon at RCG, receiving great service and fabulous food across a table of 7. Thanks to to you all!

We ordered 2 sets of fish and chips ($50 total). Each set had small 3 fish pieces (the size of potato wedges) and filled with oily fries. This does not justify the exorbitant price! We also requested for less oil and this is the most oily fish and chips I've eaten to date in Singapore. Extremely disappointed and waste of money.

I love this place. Warm welcome, massive enthusiasm for imaginative and delicious food, always something new. Some of the comments on here are just silly — Rabbit is the regular haunt of all sorts of people who enjoy good eats and friendly prompt service. I recommend it to all.

This is a bit hit with tourists and expats. Excellent English breakfasts offered and great coffee’s available. Good selection of juices and smoothies. Place is very cute and reasonable amount of seating offered. My only downside would be is that the costs were a little high even when comparing to a similar breakfast back home in London.

What a great change of taste! After 8 days in Singapore and enjoying Asian, Indian and Chinese dishes it was my great pleasure to stop in for dinner. The Bubble & Squeak was a hearty delight. Great combination of earthy flavors. Hit the spot, good job.

Charming place in katong. Food and ambience strike an awesome balance for a fantastic meal. We were there fairly early for brunch on a weekday, so we practically have the place to ourselves The black pudding is worth a special mention.

I thought it was one of those places where Caucasians will get better service than the locals/Asians, but it turned out that I was only half right! :-) Decent food and coffee. I guess I had too high expectation on the scotched egg that I was a little bit disappointed. It's just my personal take on this, so do not take my word for it, but do try this place out (at your own risk).

If you're at a great soy based coffee, Rabbit Carrot Gun has the best soy flat white in Singapore! And one of the best I've had period! Great friendly service to boot!

Food is pretty good. But service is a hit and miss. Asked for warm water but was given iced instead (with ice cubes), and was told this was the warmest water they serve. Didn't know ice cubes make water warmer…

Fantastic spot with great service and a lovely ambiance. I had the steak frites and the steak was perfect and the fries were cooked just right! (Most restaurants in Singapore seem to undercook their fries but not here! ) The staff were attentive, helpful and charming. Overall a lovely place to spend a weekend brunch and will be going back soon!

First visit, recommended by friends. Have to say, one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Atmosphere was easy going and beer was on point! Recommended for casual easy going evening as a couple or with friends. Will be back!

Went for Sunday roast and scotch eggs, boy we were in for a treat! The pork in the sunday roast was cooked to perfection, roasted vegetables were really tasty. Scotch eggs did not disappoint. We were surprised that the fruit juices tasted really refreshing and fresh. However the Yorkshire pudding was a little burnt which was a pity. Also, service was a little slow. Hence a 4 instead of 5 stars. Still, will drop by again in the evening to try the dinner menu and beer.

Very nice restaurant for weekend or weekday brunch lunch or dinner. I am always satisfied with their food. Nice portions, fresh good quality. I would stay away from the spicy smoothie unless you are really up for the cayenne in it and want to boost your metabolism.

Very small, cute cafe serving up Melbourne brunch style breakfasts. Their brunch menu is limited on weekdays and the venue is very small, but the food is tasty. Good service and appears to have regular patrons on the weekdays.

Excellent food all round with something for everyone. Great selection of drinks with interesting spirits not commonly found elsewhere in Singapore. I found the staff to be very pleasant and hospitable. I would highly recommend the game keepers breakfast if you're looking for an authentic full English!

Stop by for a mid day snack/drink. Ice lemon tea is great, the sugar syrup is on the side so you can choose how much to indulge. Truffle fries is awesome, hot and freshly fried. The sauces that came with are great too. Will come back to try more of their dishes. Service is ok only though. I felt the waitress isn’t sure of the menu.

Great staff, very nice atmosphere, underwhelming dish. I had pretty high expectations and decided to stray from my brunch regular of bacon and eggs and opted for the huevos rancheros. It sounded great but was rather underwhelming when it was placed in front of me. Especially given the significant amount of chopped onions of on the plate when there was no mention on the menu. I mean, that’s fine but please mention in when the mass of onions outweighs the “crispy grilled pork. ” Nonetheless, I want to give this place a go again because the atmosphere was very cool and I think I just had a bad first experience.

Food was great, good ambience. Lots of expats. I would give it 5 stars but we couldnt order our bill as staff were a bit busy but I guess that is understandable. Will be back.

Full English is excellent (although they would not substitute the eggs for something else). Nice ambiance and is open from 8:30 when everywhere else is still closed.

Went 3 nights in a row the food was that good. Nailed it every time. Had the chicken curry pie, the fish and chips and the beef Wellington. All outstanding. My colleague has the Morrison lamb pie twice. Excellent restaurant. Best on east coast road.

We have eaten there several times before. However this time the standard had dropped considerably. The service was slow, negligent. I ordered the usual breakfast and found the price had risen yet the portions and quality of ingredient had dropped considerably as well.

Rabbit Carrot Gun is one of the best places for brunch in the east side of Singapore. They are located along east coast road and is near many hotels. The service is polite and quick. The food is delicious. The place is cozy, perfect for a date or a gathering with friends.

Sadly, the food I ordered wasnt quite good. 1. Chicken breast — like chewing on leather. 2. Mac and cheese — completely tasteless.

Excellent British food (particularly the scotch egg & shepherds pie). Really good place to visit when im craving food from home! Service has always been decent. Update — had breakfast here on a Saturday morning and (what I assume to be the owner) spoke to 2 members of staff disgustingly. Stormed around the restaurant and banged on the bar infront of guests. Shame, the staff are really nice and the food is good but couldn't wait to pay up and leave after that.

Great place for a lazy Sunday breakfast. Good food, good coffee. Popular with parents with young kids, which is good or bad, depending on your viewpoint. Great dinners as well.

The food was good and the menu had variety. Prices were expected Singapore lunch prices. There seemed to be tension and communication challenges with the staff. If they get that worked out they may be 5 stars.

One of the staff there isn't friendly. Ice water wasn't top up promptly. Sub standard service… But the Food was not bad.

Hi Richard, I'm writing this feedback to let you know the unacceptable treatment we received when dinning at Rabbit Carrot Gun. We experienced poor quality of services from your staff. The waitor who served us looked annoyed and showed no interest in taking our others. We thought that he was just having a bad day and did not think much about it. However, what startled us was his complete change of attitude when serving the customers a few tables away from us (presumably the regulars as seen from their interactions). When we requested extra sauce for our truffle fries later on, we were again treated with a lukewarm attitude. This made my wife uncomfortable and upset and we left as soon as finished our mains. As paying customers, we expected the same treatment. We are very disappointed as this visit was recommended by our English friend who often raves about the best black pudding at your restaurant. I hope that you will deal with this lapse in customer service accordingly.

Been there a few times and had always enjoyed my dining experience. Service crew were nice and the food was awesome. Would definitely recommend heading down. My cousins love the food there too. I'm not too sure why the reviews quoted negatively about the staffs but I know that as long as we individuals are respectful towards them, they do show the same form of respect. There was once when I went, and witnessed some individuals being rude towards a member of the staff simply because they would be charged extra for bringing in outside food for consumption and they started throwing insults about his nationality. A few customers were disturbed by it and had advised them not to do so. However the insults continued and another staff, I presumed should be the manager, requested for them to leave. Kudos to those who step up against bullies! Everyone deserves the right to work in a nice environment! Xxx.

An unpleasant experience. One of the staff had a disagreement with the customers beside our table and it didn't concern us until the staff threw the bill holder on our table and demanded us to pay for our meal using cash. We were caught off guard and was confused by his hostile behavior. The staff eventually figured out it was a mistake and went off after a half-hearted apology. We were appalled by the sheer lack of professionalism. Will not be back.

Nice people and food. Had eggs Benedict. They were well prepared, but the eggs tasted like water and had no taste at all.

A cozy venue, with good enough food, service and coffee. I tried the full breakfast and found the toast to be the size of a biscuit (they happily brought me a second biscuit) and a small sausage cowering on the side of the plate, but everything else was good.

I have been for brunch many times, and for drinks at the Trenchard Arms next door. Great food, friendly staff, good beer and a convivial atmosphere. What more can you ask for really? I have not had dinner here — when I do I expect it will be good too and then I can give the the fifth *.

Great food, great staff — great neighborhood place. Had the avocado splash, my son had the cinnamon french toast, and my mother in law had smoked salmon benedict — all super yummy! The owner is really great and knows how to handle tough situations (not having a table for example)

Visited the place on a Sunday. Ordered the Brunch menu. The food taste normal, nothing fantastic in term of appearance or taste. The steak was way too Salty, I even bite on a large grain of sea salt which totally spoilt my palate. The eggs on the egg Benedict was not done well too. The food is not terrible but more attention can be put into preparation of the food. Service staffs was decent but bit low to respond to requests. Overall still a decent place to go but there are nicer restaurants just next door which serve better tasting food.

Rabbit carrot gun takes classic brunch combinations and executes them to perfection. Their innovation however, comes in their drinks with a number of tea and fruit based cocktails. I have been there over ten times in the past 2 years and I must say I have never been disappointed. So if it is simple classics you are looking for with wholesome, bold, and rounded flavours and an interesting drink to sip alongside, RCG is the place to go. Also try their Mango cocktail.

Great service! even though its raining today :) good eggs and bacon and a pick me up coffee and juice — definitely our fave brekkie joint on the east coast!

Can't even do poached eggs properly, waiting for 20mins still no iced mocha — server actually forgot what we ordered and had to ask again. Scrambled eggs dry and tasteless. Will not recommend this place for brunch there are much better cafés around in Singapore. Avoid coming here if you can. And we came here at around 1.30pm in the afternoon when the lunch time crowd has died down.
