The room was comfortable. Bathroom small but functional. The best part was the concierge near the taxi ramp. So helpful and very pleasant. Breakfast was basic but okay. Older lady that seats you could be a bit happier towards people. Room service a tad expensive but 7/11 2min Walk.

Rooftop bar with stunning views. Rooms clean, a little on the small side but perfectly adequate, great location close to main areas. Only disappointment was breakfast. Bacon tasted awful like it was cooked in rancid oil. If you don't want bacon then it's a great hotel.

We have stayed in the Peninsula Excelsior Hotel on numerous occasions when either visiting or passing through Singapore, since 1991. It is a great hotel, comfortable, well appointed rooms in a great location. Each time we have visited the service and attention to detail seems a little better than the time before. Great facilities on site. MRT close by. Easy walk to the Gardens, Clarke Quay and Chinatown. Highly recommended.

I have used this hotel a number of times since 2000 and I can honestly say this time was the worst. There are major building projects going on in the street behind the hotel which impacts majorly on the ambience of the pool adjacent to it. The second, more relaxing pool, is currently undergoing major refurbishment so is off limits. The room, while being clean, is in need of a proper makeover. I say proper as some attempt has been made to redo the grouting in the bathroom which looks like it was a practice session for poor apprentices. On the whole definitely not my best experience.

Nice location, although some construction sites around. Comfortable rooms and convenient common areas. Cafes and restaurants have nice menus and variety of dishes. Recommended, provided your room far from elevators and construction sites.

We went to the sky lounge restaurant to celebrate Singapore's national day. Even though the food choices is a little lacking, every food was delicious and sumptuous. They even gave a 'birthday cake' to all guests to commemorate the event. Also had an awesome view to the fireworks.

The location is super! Within 20min walk of all — Marina Bay, Santac Center, Clark Kwei, China Town, Orchard Street. Next to the hotel is a construction site (knew in advance, but the location and price have done their own), but work quietly do not interfere with sleep. The only negative view from the window on the part of the construction site, but the other pluses overlap it. Lifts are speeding, the pool is good on the L floor, every day bring water, the air conditioning is good on the bed does not blow, international sockets, safe, minibar, there is a hairdryer, toothbrushes, pasta, etc.

A great place to stay in Singapore. Excelsior Tower the best to be on for most stuff, however Peninsula has the better views. Great location, easy access to the best SG has to offer, and the sidewalk cafe round the corner opp the fire station, has beer and food to suit everyone. Staff good and overall, a great experience.

Location, room, pools, breakfast, staff, all great. Also loved our dinner here and staff were very kind just like the breakfast staff. Breakfast selection great. Pools are not cold and are lovely to swim in. Amazing view from the roof bar. Hotel is getting built out on all sides though. Very sad. : — (

Great service and food at Coleman's Restaurant within hotel. Exceptional views from Sky Lounge at top of hotel over all Singapore marina and bay area, cricket club, Clarke Quays and more. Comfortable rooms with separate bath & walkin shower in some rooms. Service in all areas from doorman, bell hops, reception & restaurant staff above average.

A great hotel. I have used it at least five times. It has excellent internet Wi-Fi, friendly staff, a very good breakfast and a is located in a central part of Singapore. It gives good value for money and I will use it again. The rooms have tea and coffee making facilities and good bathrooms plus a safe that works.

Beds are like sleeping on brick. Considered getting up and sleeping on the floor as I figured the carpet would have been softer. Toilet wouldn't flush properly. But on a positive note the breakfast was very good with a great selection of food.

Hotel is quite old, but overall is good. Good service. Big room, nice amenities. Location is good, 5 minutes walk from city Hall mrt. Lots of food around the area.

If you are look for a good city view during your stay in Singapore. This is a very good place. It is situated between padang and fort canning hill. The hotel lobby house one of the sought after buffets in Singapore. Peninsula is a hunt place for camera, accessories and musical instruments at its basement. It is also nearby the modern shopping centre of Raffles City and City Hall MRT Exchange.

A nice hotel, good location in the city, comfortable beds. Tiny wardrobe. Very good service and friendly staff. There is a swimming pool, gym and sauna for guests. I recommend this hotel.

Very good Singapore sling, the view from the Sky Lounge is superb. Nice staff.

The best location in downtown area, can walk to Clarke Quay, Esplanade Theatre, Merlion. I've got the room with best view where I can see MarinaBaySands and Singapore Flyer. (Should stay there at New year night to see fireworks). The staffs are friendly and helpful. There has a Sky bar at level 22 where you can enjoy the view and drink quietly.

Do not know how in other rooms, but in our 1425 it was very clean, tidy and spacious. Location The room is large, without a balcony, ie for non-smokers. There are plenty of storage areas. The bathroom is clean, the reviews-went, checked. The… Bed. When they saw the main bed, they realized that it would be lost in Troy (2 + 1 child). The pools are on the lobby floor. Next to it is a smoking area surrounded by tangerine trees. In general, very pretty hotel. Very comfortable. The breakfasts are very varied. Located near Clark Quay and Marina. Shopping malls are also close by. I put the Hotel 5

Stayed 3D2N and so far we had a pleasant stay. There were some disappointments here and there like the door were force open before, loose screws on the bathroom mini table, but the thing I most pissed is that there were no bathtub in our room, and they stated there were tub in EVERY room. Overall, the view were nice at least, and the staff were quite friendly.

The rooms are tired and relatively clean, near the building, pays off this hotel only its steep location.

Really enjoyed the room. Good views. The bathroom and tub were the smallest I've experienced, but we're kept up nice and full of toiletries. Really good breakfast buffet. Excellent service.

A great hotel in the middle of Singapore.

This hotel is very well equipped, centrally located so that many nice points can be reached on foot. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. The staff are very helpful in all situations (questions, taxi ordering, information, online check in). From the top restaurant in the tower you have a fantastic view of the city, the green areas as well as the harbour.
We really enjoyed the five-day break on the return flight from New Zealand!

Had a 2 day stay at the hotel and why loved it all around. We stayed on the 19th floor and had a stunning view of the city including Marina Bay. Breakfast was mega extensive from European, Indian Chinese to American variant was all offered and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. The nice buzzing staff at the reception at the ground lvl, we will not forget so soon:) We are happy to come back anytime. Thank you for the hospitality!

Terrible hotel! Dirty, smelly! The smell of dampness is like living in a slum! Avoid this lodging.

Great location. Part of a "stopover holiday". Good service and easy check — in. The lobby is nice. The lobby is quite nice though the rooms are a bit dated. The free use of the "handy" cellphone was a nice touch that we were not able to utilize for such a short stay (one night).

Had a pleasant stay here. As far as location is concerned, this hotel is a convenient option for travellers looking to visit Singapore for shopping as it is quite close to the shopping district. There are also many food options nearby at the Raffles City Mall ranging from local delicacies to pubs. In terms of the rooms, the size is satisfactory enough to be comfortable but nothing really noteworthy. The workers here were extra friendly and won't hesitate to offer their help. Hope to stay here again!

The pool side is a pleasant surprise and the view offered is really good. The hotel is situated right in town with easy access to the mrt and train station. You can even have a pleasant jog to the fort cannon park nearby.

The room was beautiful and the south side had an incredible view over the marina. The staff were very welcoming and friendly too. The hotel has two pools which were also very nice though there is a lack of loungers. The gym is also a bit sparse in terms of equipment. The breakfast was included with out room though not for all rooms I don't think. The breakfast was a buffet and was okay. There is a wide variety though.

Good location with Metro just a few minutes. Normal rooms But the bathrooms are a bit dated and the Housekeeping service summary.

Pretty great location in terms of travel as it is in the center for almost everything. Most places are in walking distance. Makes transport easy and cheap. We got the cheapest rooms possible and they're fairly clean but don't expect it to be perfect. Beds are too stiff for our liking but you can't please everyone.

At first, everything seemed fine. We got our room and decided to go out and explore. Came back and all we wanted was to shower. We noticed the water was barely luke warm so we informed the front desk. They said they would inspect the water boiler and for us to check 25 minutes later. We checked. Still cold. Called again, and they said to wait another ten minutes. We did. Still cold. Called a third time, and they told me the water was out for the entire tower on our side. Apparently, they knew about the problem before putting us in the room, but still put us there because we had reservations months in advance, rather than putting us in a different room with running hot water. We literally had to hassle them to change rooms, and turns out we weren't the only ones with the problem. We were lucky that we notified them early on or they would've turned us away because everyone else after us couldn't seem to get new rooms in the working tower. They gave us a nicer room to accommodate us for the rest of our stay, but rest assure. We won't be booking here again.

Spent 10 days at this hotel, very convenient location, friendly staff. Generally it was a lovely experience, The breakfast experience however could be better. Long queues before seating is offered. Menu is monotonous, no variety, and I had an ugly incident of finding 2 strands of hair in my omelette. The stewardess, I complained to just took the plate away, no feedback, no apology Absolute NOTHING… that experience marred my otherwise pleasant stay…

Good hotel in great location.

Had a great stay here in January en route from London to Myanmar and again on the return journey. Faultless. We also stayed here in April 2015 when we were given a free room upgrade. I think it was the 21st floor from where the views over Marina Bay are awesome.

We stayed 4 nights in early August 2017. The hotel is perfectly positioned for sightseeing. Just walk across the street to catch the hop-on bus. The rooms are basic but clean. The only criticism would be the amount of mould in the shower recess. The lounge captain, Best Low, was a welcome sight when we returned from our daily sightseeing. He enjoyed engaging in conversation and remembered what we liked to drink. A perfect few days in Singapore. I'd go back to this hotel again.

This hotel is in a good location but the rooms are old and worn, the service is not good, and the lifts are terrible. The price was good for Singapore but still not worth it. I will pay a bit more next time for somewhere nicer. The hotel is surrounded by a construction site and all day the noise is terrible. The lobby stinks of cigarette smoke. I wont be going back.

Lovely experience here at Peninsula Excelsior, stayed 2 nights in a twin room with my daughter, the two pools were lovely, great to relax by or cool off from the Singapore heat. We had cocktails and finger food platter in the lounge, which were delicious and reasonably priced. Our room was great, with views from the 13th floor, comfy beds, nice amenities and perfect temp control on cooling. We also had a late night snack from room service of a toasted sandwich and thick fries which were delicious. Overall was a great experience, highly recommend.

Would only give them a 2 star. We booked a double was given two singles… Not a good start. After agreeing to put the beds together and put a topper on it to make it more appropriate, we're still waiting and are losing patience. Not asking for much. Just good service. Not sure how this rates 4* in everyone's reviews. Don't bother!

Weekend rate actually is cheaper than weekday! Quite nice view from the club house. Entrance (ground floor) looked a bit old but the lobby (level 5) looked grand.

We got to stop in Singapore for my schools Japan exchange trip, and I loved it. The bathrooms were quite large, the beds were comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was alright. The buffet was quite expensive though, about $12 or so for a child/teen. It's close to many shops, malls, and restaurants. The MRT station was about 10 minutes away, so was a bus stop. Singapore is very hot and humid, so be prepared!

Not as wonderful as expected given reviews and pictures and number of stars. Two outside pools at the lobby level. The furniture, curtains, mirrors, objects inside the room are clean but ageing. You have a wired and a Wi-Fi Internet access, quite stable. I booked a king size bed room, and I got a twin bed that were stuck together. I had a bath tub, and a plastic curtain to control water splashes when taking a shower. The check-in staff's voice was so low that I had to force him shout four times every sentence to get a chance to hear him. The check-in process itself lasted about 20 minutes despite the room being already fully paid by Internet and my valid visa bank card working perfectly for the security deposit. Complementary water is bottled on the first night, refilled with tap water later on. I had a nice view on Fort canning park. The hotel is made of two towers, therefore two entrances. There's a sex shop right between them. 24/7 convenience shops one minute walking away and a cheap food court just down the building. You can walk to the bay (merlion) in about 15 minutes.

Location is amazing so close to everything you can walk to most places and outside is a taxi stand a a minute down the road is the hop on hop off bus stop. Rooms were of ok size, they messed up our beds nd to make yp for it pushed to of the singles together to make a double but didnt change the sheets or anything so what was the point, that and the Wi-Fi not being free were the biggest cons, staff were friendly. Didnt swim in the pook as nice as it looked was very off putting as everyone in the lobby could see you underwater and the other pool ws closed at the time. Bathroom needed a good lick of paint and new tiles as hile the room as clean the old looking tiles made it look very dirty and I hate the shower of the bath type.

Whatever the friendly reception, the factiliy is poor. Shower tap has only hot water (true) and the flow like a stream. Wifi network is same as the shower water supply, unstable and never smooth. You won't feel it's in Singapore.

The very best view of Singapore. If you get a room choose the Bay side. If you don't, you can still go to the rooftop bar which is a hidden gem. They should promote it better, but it's always empty. Good for a casual visit and the best photos you'll take. Guaranteed.

Peninsula Excelsior Hotel was fantastic. Hotel is very clean and is located centraly. I stayed in a floor/room with amazing view over the harbor. Ask for that if that is what you want. The hotel staff are great and they allowed me to check in early and check out late with no extra charge. Breakfast was nice and was my main meal there. The swimming pool was great, everything is there in the gym and a cold beer is all ways available. It is best location in Singapore, near clarke que, centrally located near MRT. I will be back.

Hotel is awesome. Super Clean with all the modern amenities. I stayed on the top floor with amazing view of the harbour front. Hotel staff great and they allowed me to check in on 7 AM in the morning with no extra charge. They also allowed us to check in without taking any money/deposits as we had to go outside to exchange our currency. Breakfast was nice and so was the evening snack. Staff was super cordial and was always inquiring if we would need anything. They also allowed us to check out late in the evening without any extra charge.

Great location at reasonable price. Had a room facing the par with great views of the sunset. Shopping and groceries in the same building ideal for a rainy day. Would defiantly return.

Location is great. Easy walk to MRT on two lines. Staff very friendly and accommodating. View from the Sky Lounge is spectacular. Elevator logic could use an upgrade, and internet access mediocre. Rooms are decent.
