Excellent Service. Love the friendliness of Michael, Mardy and Kath as well as their professional manner. Definitely come back when time and money allows. :) I highly recommend this place as your get away place or treat it as your second home.

My parents who serving their SHN at Orchard Hotel, however instead of sending 2 person meal, they only received 1 meal. They have tried to called front desk, despite they promise to send another meal but didn't turn up. My mum reached out to me to contact hotel front desk, my mum is okay for now, but just want to remind the staff send 2 meals instead of 1 from lunch onwards. I also tried to call the hotel number, waited forever no one pick up the phone. Ended up called FB number which actually is Orchard Hotel's restaurant number, she transferred my line to concierge but no one pick up also. So I complained the situation to her, I am paying 2 person SHN services, but only received one, should I get back some refund or voucher? 4 star hotel, but 2 star for services😒😒😒😒😒

Visiting Singapore is incomplete without passing Orchard Road.

I don't know should I or not to recommend. Because of the toilet is not user friendly for us. Especially washing our 'buttocks'. It's good to have long hose but the water flow is not just right. I like the room area, very spacious. Other than that, it's great staying here.

Service is not good. They don’t pick up the phone. On the whole entire staff attitude is unprofessional. Same price range many other options available. Avoid this one of you can.

I would like to give a great compliment to the Duty Manager, Mr. Nelson, and his team for their great efforts for taking good care of me during my SHN period at Orchard Hotel Singapore. Despite the unexpected situation occurs, Nelson was very proactive and extremely polite throughout the process and was giving extra attention to details with the housekeeping to make the stay in the room as comfortable as possible. Nelson was very considerate and had gone extra miles to supply me with some ointment medication. I was extremely impressed by his dedication to his work and his outstanding performance. Nelson truly deserved to be recognized by his great efforts! Well done Nelson!

The moment you arrive at the entrance of Orchard Hotel, you'll get to meet attentive & friendly officers to greet and assist to helping your enquiries. Hua Ting, their Chinese Restaurant, is a good visit, whether is for lunch or dinner. Ms Sophia the Restaurant Manager, is knowledgeable of food and all her other colleagues were attentive & friendly. I will always strongly recommend any of my guests to Hua Ting for good Chinese food & quality service.

Very pathetic hospitality. When I entered the room it was very small, dirty, unhygienic, dirty toilets. They were used and not cleaned. Found someone's hair on my bed. The room service, front desk no one responds on even calling several times. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone your stay will be ruined by them.

Hosted my aunty birthday celebration at a wonderful private setting at HuaTing. My family pay high tribute to the culinary skills of the chefs and they were impressed by the service and renovation at Hua Ting. It was indeed a makeover compare to the past. Overall, good food, good service. Will definitely recommend to my family and friends.

3. Plenty of amenities, supermaket and eateries Cons:
1. Very bad, rude and calculative customer service (front desk). Not consistent practice just to share additional water or towel (first day it will be given by request, next day they only will give in alternate day during housekeeping)
Btw we are staying for 2 weeks, will it hurt business just to ask 2-3 bottles / day?
2. For our room, the window is facing main road directly. Sometimes it was noisy at night time
3. Low quality furnitures esp bed mattress, pillows. Few nights we suspected got bed bugs.
Bed sheets and blankets to be changed because we asked them (after 1 week! ) Overall, this is our first and last stay in your place. Thanks.

This is a great serviced apartment for a holiday, short stay or even long term! We stayed here the first time we came as a family to look for schools/ places to live and again for a month when we first moved to Singapore. Close to MRT and not far from Orchard. Team is very helpful and security is very tight. Great for kids with an amazing pool, basketball and tennis court and kids playground!

Didn’t realise there was not a concierge. There is a fee even to call a cab… the rooms are a little dated but they are at leasr spacious. The pool is lovely but the spa doesn’t work.

What a pleasant surprise! Receptionists are culturally educated and very comfortable, ready to always meet you. In addition to its exceptional location, the hotel has extra comfort, clean and always full of small and pleasant surprises.

It's a beautiful apartment. Cleaning up every day, the internet is great. The location is gorgeous. The staff are very friendly and sympathetic — the adapter was issued, taxis were called, seated. The departure time was extended. I liked everything. The price is not small, but it is Singapore, everything is more expensive.

Crystal cafe's Taiwanese porridge buffet is very worth very cent you pay. Sweet potatoes porridge, braised dishes, tofu, preserved dishes, and dessert. There is not one I was picky about. Try it now!

It serves nice and affordable porridge buffet. The decor is relatively old, but it brings the nostalgic feel and yet very clean look. Location is good, just behind orchard road, but parking fee is a killer.

The only drawback of this place is that you can't book short stays. The location is around somerset/ orchard. We used to walk to orchard every day with a toddler in a stroller. The minimum stay duration should be 7 days. The room is equipped with basic cooking utensils and cutlery. It has a washing machine and clothes horse. Ironing table and hair dryer also provided. So it's like a service apartment with free breakfast. We paid around 1300 sing dollars for a 7 day stay so it's not cheap at all but no where I Singapore is cheap.

Retro looking hotel with pretty value for money porridge buffet here. Location is very good since it is within walking distance to the Orchard road malls. Food around the area is also recommended too, especially Killney kopitiam.

My family and I had the most pleasant stay at Orchard Scotts Residence. A large extent of our satisfaction comes from the excellent housekeeping service provided by QinXia. She was extremely comprehensive and patient in working through my family’s requests, not to mention the amount of hardwork she had put into her cleaning service. The apartment was spotless after her service each time. QinXia was also considerate and tried her best to accomodate to our schedule each time. She was responsive and easy to communicate with, hence we had a brilliant housekeeping service experience throughout our 2 years stay. I must admit that her excellent service was truly value-added to the hotel.

Good for chill out after work as they don't chase u out after meal. However was disappointing that durian melaka was discontinued for the buffet at Crystal cafe.

This place has changed a lot since my last visit. The services have been downgraded. No more breakfast. Room cleaning only thrice a week. Obvious signs of cost cutting. The only plus point is the convenient location.

. A must-visit place for upmarket shopping & dinning when in Singapore. Will be perfect if each shopping complexes are linked with underground or overpass for easy access like other major shopping districts such as Tokyo and Taipei. A wider outdoor walkway with sitting areas along the whole stretch of Orchard Rd could also be a great bonus to ease human traffic and to improve the outlook of the district.

Nice little corner of orchard road. Hidden within the hotel is this little diner whom time has forgotten. This restaurant serve Chinese porridge buffet at price unheard of in Singapore. Under $20 you can have a good serving of basied duck (Wednesday and Saturday)

Clean, spacious, designed make you feel like you’re in a home away from home for extended stays. A nice pool and gym, daily included buffet breakfast with friendly staff. Convenient to Orchard road, public transit and tons of shopping and restaurants. Decor is a little outdated but sufficient for the needs of a long stay.

Perfect! Perfect Wifi. Yet I did not like the sheets or the pillows. On the morning of my departure, it was a Sunday, so I entrusted two receptionists to send a postcard to Russia but it never arrived…

As a guest for one month I quite enjoyed the stay in Orchard Parksuites. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Excellent service given. Especially housekeeping lady "Yogeswsri" found very dedicated, hardworking and polite. Front desk staff "Maria" and "Edham" are also very co-operative. Only breakfast needs to be improved. Very less variety. I found it very monotonous and repetitive. Plus no breakfast provided on weekend. That's the only minus point. I liked the staff and their service.

Simple, clean, nice and convenient… It has all the basics and surrounded by shops, easily accessed… I can say it's also good for family, spacious hall, washing machine works well, stove and all you need to feel at home…

Great Oasis in Singapore where you can get away from the city life while still having access to all of Orchard Road. Stayed here for about a week while working in Singapore. The first thing you'll notice is the size of the complex. There are two very large buildings with several massive pools in between them. The buildings themselves have nice lobbies though the hallways could use some freshening up. I stayed in one of the one bedroom suites. The apartment was very large, especially for Singapore, and about 80 square meters. The room was well decorated and well furnished, and included a full kitchen and a washer dryer in the unit. The that was fairly comfortable and the shower and bath or more than sufficient. The rest of the amenities were on the better end of what I have experienced in Singapore. The gym had for treadmills, for elliptical machines, and a good amount of weight lifting equipment. Any time that I went there was ample space. Breakfast is served to all guests during weekdays, but don't expect to get a full meal. Outside of either scrambled or hard boiled eggs, the breakfast mainly consisted of pastries and various breads. Overall, would definitely consider staying here again if the price was right. From the looks of it, you tend to pay for what you're getting, though you're getting a good amount. If you're in Singapore on business and want to live comfortably I would recommend the Orchard Scotts Residences.

Highly recommended place. They have great apartments with all amenities available. Ideal for longer stays equipped with kitchen, washing machine etc for daily work. There pool is very nice and has lots of space outside. They have pretty good gym. Nearest metro station is Newton which is at 4 mins walk. It has 24x7 shop as well for daily needs. As far as food is concerned they only have complimentary breakfast over weekdays and try don't have room service for apartments (but the staffs were so friendly to provide list of home deliveries options available) but it is very near to Newton where one can find lots of food options (hardly 5 minutes walk)

Situated at Newton area, opposite Vermont on Cairnhill Condominium, Orchard Scott Residences is a resort-like residence serviced apartment managed by Knight Frank. Facilities are excellent for both the kids and adults — Swimming pools, outdoor massage beds, children playgrounds, etc await the most discerning person who wants a good place to stay!

First class. Built on top of a shopping centre, very close to local street of bars and food providers across the street. The busses go past the front door and the underground is across the street, or even thru the shopping centre. Reception is on the 10th floor. Quality in everything. Great services and outdoor facilities, a bit waisted on us on our two night stay, but have to say that I felt loaded. The breakfast facilty is mega, simply mega.

Hotel lobby had a strong stench which was unpleasant the moment lift door to level one opens. Restaurant serving porridge buffet has lost it's favour with us because the dishes they offered were not what we expected. The favourite items like durian mousse and he be hiam were replaced with less attractive items. The rest of the items had no or little improvements.

I went for the Taiwan Porridge Buffet at their house restaurant Crystal Cafe. It's one of my favorite places to go, central location yet cozy atmosphere. Food is decent home cooked style dishes with a strong variety. Service staff are very attentive.

I had good time staying at this place. Friendly staff and world class service.

The service was quite good and facilities are clean. There was construction going on at the time of our stay, which is inevitable, so we are understanding of that. The rooms are clean, although it appears that the HVAC is in need of updating as one of the rooms in our 2-bedroom apartment was lacking in the air conditioning department. I feel like the overall design of the lobby and rooms do need some updating, but if that isn't important to you, then this is a good service apartment to stay in.

The service was good, the staffs greeted my companions and I when we first walked in. The rooms were clean. The location was very convenient, there were plenty of shop nearby for me to visit.

Great swimming pool for kids and great facilities (gym, bbq next to the pool, tennis course). The perfume in the corridors is too strong though.

Located from 10mins walk from Somerset MRT, it is a quiet place for travellers looking to get away from the hassle and bustle of city life. There is a supermarket and a cafe located at the hotel. For those staying at the rented apartments, there is a wide range of eateries located along Killiney Road — ranging from Indian, Japanese, Italian and Chinese cuisine. Within the hotel, there is a Crystal cafe which serves Taiwan porridge buffet at a reasonable price. The dishes are delicious and worth the S$17 price tag for a lunch buffet. Recommended for people who wish to have a quiet lunch in a retro place setting. The deco of the cafe brings back memories of the 80s. While the overall look and feel of the hotel cannot compare with the newer and posher hotels in the orchard belt, it can still hold its charms for people looking for something different.

I am apauled at the way this place is run. They let children run all over the place in and out of the lobby, pool and tennis courts up until 12 o'clock at night. Kicking balls yelling and screaming. We have complained almost every night and the front desk doesn't answer the phone anymore. If you're looking to sleep don't book here. The daily service and cleanliness is of a very high quality and the facilities are great. They are under staffed at night. Frankly, non responsive to their quests.

This serviced residence has changed name! Formerly the Somerset Orchard, now it's operating as Orchard Point Serviced Apartments. Extremely spacious rooms, comfortable and well-ventilated (openable windows for fresh air) home away from home apartments with large kitchen, in a most convenient location steps away from the Somerset MRT station.

Just a great place to stay, the common areas are very well maintained and clean. The apartments are nice, some have the disadvantage of having frosted windows. So if your staying here make sure to avoid these apartments. At the serviced apartments the breakfast was ok, but the staff working there were always very nice!

Great hotel, carpark can get a bit confusing to navigate around though.

Friendly staff and convenience place.

This is our third time staying at Orchard Scotts Residences. I had high regard for this Hotel style Residence, but five years after our first time in this hotel we have noticed services that have been limited, such as now they are charging to use the Cabanas / BBQ areas and also such things as one pot in the kitchen and limited utensils, no peelers etc. The other night my wife called down for another pot and she was told point blankly "NO". A few weeks ago I called down to ask for some ice and were told to go to the nearest 7 Eleven or make our own (which we do but ran out of), knowing full well they have an ice machine down stairs they would not help us out. Now some of the pools are decaying and are in need of much work, therefore some parts are out of bounds. Generally it is a nice place to stay but I find they are trying to cut corners to save money and at times rude when we ask for things that at one point in time was offered. We won't stay here again.

Great experience, great staffs, clean rooms, fair price, each room has unique glitches for example, our room on our May 2015 stay one can hear loud banging noise from the elevator every 10-15 minutes.

Spacious room. Very accomodating front desk. The hotel is very near shopping stores and supermarket and in case you need something in the middle of the night 24hrs convenient store located nearby.

For the amount paid, excepted higher quality of apartments. However, the location of the hotel is very convenient. Takashimaya is close with a cold storage market grocery. MRT is close too. Can reach to different sight seeing within in 15 to 20 mins max. Shopping malls are close with walking distance.

It was very great appartement the swimming pool was cool and the sight from the room is beautiful.

We've lived here for a year with our 2 year old son. It's conveniently located near the MRT and only 1 stop from grocery stores. It's a great place for kids with two playgrounds, 5 pools, and friendly staff. Sometimes it feels more like resort living than living in a city.

Excellent service. Spotless accommodation. Great location especially if you have a car. Walking distance to Newton Circus street food vendors — but be wary of seafood prices. Nice swimming pool and good basic continental breakfast on weekdays. Highly recommended especially for families.

The stay in this hotel spoiled my holiday, pathetic service, the attitude of staff is arrogant, except few to name, one person to mention is front office staff Mr. Vincent he was very good and few cleaning staff… but the staff in Restaurant which is in the ground floor is pathetic, their attitude is as if they are giving us food for free also the guys in Concierge cant explain how arrogant they are once again pathetic hotel! Really a bad choice which I made, will never choose your hotel again.

Sommerset Orchard Singapore not only provide rooms to stay, here is very convenience because you don't have to worry about your lunch or dinner. Everthing can settle around here.

Nice hotel in a very strategic place. Most of the shopping complexs a stone throw away from hotel.

Your staff and in particular one lady was very helpful when my handbag's chain snapped and everything dropped! lol Your hospitality and the event I attended where PM Lee also attended was SUPER! I'll be sure to take note of her name the next time I visit!

It took me 2 hours to get my room. I'm here from 2:30 pm any now it's 4:00 pm and my rooms still not ready. I'm so mad and disappointed.
We came from a long destination flight and my mother was sleeping while she was setting and the waiter specked with here in unpleasant way. I Will not ever come back and will not recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family. A copy to hotel manager please.

Great place to stay for those who visit Singapore. Facilities are good. The service is good.

Old fashion hotel, yet good enough. It deserves 3 stars, but not more. Clean. Quiet. Simple. Minibar doesn't offer anything more than 1 can of beer and few soft drinks. No snacks. No room service after 10 PM to 6 AM. Location is good and close to many places. I stayed here twice on business trip and I will stay here again.
