Hôtel Fleur de Lys Point E

The place is not worth the time of writing this review, but people deserve to be informed in advance. The room is spacious, the food is decent and the AC works. That's all the good stuff. In a place of hot temperature like Dakar, they will only offer a small bottle of water the first day, the rest is on you even if you stay for a week. Anywhere in East Africa they give you two every night. Drinking water is a right. If you don't want the expense, install a filter and give refills like the do in SA.
The Wi-Fi is not secure and if you come with a corporate computer you won't be able to connect from the rooms.
But why would you come to work from here? They will not offer you even the use of an iron box. If you want to straighten up those business casual clothes that you had to carry in your luggage they will ask you to pay for the ironing service. And don't ask the manager if there is anything they can do for the over 50 people that you have brought to their business. They don't care. You have already paid and are stuck with them, so take it. Zero interest in making the customer comfortable, all they want is your money.
That's how they get to be the cheaper option that your tender committee will approve, by putting all the extras on you to pay on top of a very basic service.
Also, the windows haven't been cleaned for a decade and the carpets and bed covers show age stains. The sockets are scarce and not near the desk so, again, not work friendly.

Not so good.
There are cockroaches in bed and room.
No proper cleaning, you can actually see the white dust in floor and even after informing no action.
No restaurant on walk-in distance, it's all residential area.
Not recommended.

Fantastic suite for a great price!
Unfortunately the staff (or the Manager in particular) wasn’t reasonable. I had missed my flight due to adverse weather in Europe and emailed to discuss a solution in person. When I arrived, the staff at the desk said it would be possible to switch my booking for an extra night; I need only speak to the Manager the following day. AMEX, which I booked it through, said they would defer to the establishment also. Unfortunately, the Manager didn’t even wait for me to finish the request before a blanket refusal, and then wouldn’t engage in further conversation. I checked out immediately.
The restaurant staff were super friendly, as were the other desk staff. Shame about senior staff.

Stayed here three nights whilst on a work trip. Service was very good and the room I had was excellent. Prices for drinks are really overinflated and food is not cheap either. Paying for convenience is one thing, but paying 10 times the shop price for a bottle of water is ridiculous. Not sure how they can justify that one!

Room: Overall pretty okay, it has proper air conditioning which was needed.
The bathroom however was a bit less, you either had a cold or hot shower but there was almost never an in between.
Breakfast: Opens at 7am and not a lot of choice when it comes to options, everything was very basic.
Personnel: The personnel was quite friendly and helpful.
Issue: I had to switch room because of a leak in the toilet, the cleaning lady had discovered this. However when I came in my room there was nothing there and also the fact that my room was at 'Do Not Disturb' kind of annoyed me since this means they ignored it and still went in.

While the hotel is quiet and safe, centrally located and has large rooms with flat screen TV’s and comfortable beds, this is at most a three-star hotel, in my opinion. Amenities are sparse (e. G. One towel, one water glass, one complementary bottle of water on first night only, no coffee or tea in room). Although the room was clean, the window had obviously not been washed for sometime. Prices at the onsite restaurant are very high as is the price of the airport shuttle. One plus is the rooftop bar and pool with great views of the city.
