I stayed at Axil Hôtel, right in the city centre, less than 10 mins walk to the ferry, train station, shops, and restaurants. Perfect location!
My first room had a bird inside and street noise, but the staff were super helpful and moved me to a new room. The second one was smaller, and I had to wait a bit, but eventually, I got a great room thanks to the team on duty.
Breakfast was amazing, rich, continental, and delicious. Honestly, that part made my mornings every day.
The downside? Payment isn’t flexible, and room assignments can be tricky during busy times. Still, it’s a solid option for anyone wanting central access, tasty breakfast, and helpful staff.

We booked online and pre paid everything but they could not find our booking and after hours of flying we ended up without a hotel in Africa. Checked out the pool it was very terrible and uncomfortable and staff was very incompetent and unfriendly: — (

Excellent Stay – Highly Recommended!
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel during my first visit to Africa. Though my company handled the room charges, I can confidently say the stay was worth it. I stayed in Room 311—a compact yet very tidy and comfortable space that gave me a cozy, welcoming feeling.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service from the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and made my stay even more pleasant. The cleanliness and comfort of the room added to the positive.

The restaurant menu needs an upgrade, the staff fighting loudly in front of customers is not great. The restaurant manager is just plain rude. The carpets in the corridors are stained. The breakfast needs more variety. The rooms are great, the aircon works well and is very quiet, the beds are super comfortable. Overall not bad but some TLC needed.

Management of services isn't good. Extremely hungry for money which compromises business. Location not that great, sounds of construction heard throughout night.

Very conducive, friendly staff, nice breakfast and environment is clean and hotel is accessible to all places you want to go as it’s in the Ville (city) center area. The rooms are also clean warm with fully air conditioning, toilet is superb. You can feel comfortable while in Axil hotel. As a guest this is my experience. I also love the outdoor pool.

Beautiful hotel owned by a Senegalese. Newly renovated. Attended a fashion show by Kentra. It was a warm cozy venue. Will definitely go back for lunch, brunch or dinner.

This hôtel doesn't deserve one star talk.
About 4 stars? Like really. The human rights is not respected here, no didcretion or professionalism from the reception to the management. Very funny way to to do things here with no respect. The room are not properly isolated the carpet is so dirty with a bad smell around the premises. Yesterday I was stuck in the lift. I will stop here but so much to bad things to say. Do not recommend tjos hôtel to anyone.

I am very disappointed about the mediocrity in this hotel, the way they treat clients. I have been here a month and because of delay of payment due to my bank with proof the entire staff is aware to the point they asking me to hand over my passport. This is unacceptable to treat a long term client and was willing to stay long. I have to change as soon as their money is released. I have been harassed in my room with phone calls every 2 hours from their manager for delay of fews days payment after collecting 80% of the fees already.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Perfect hotel for a business trip. Glad I was on 3rd floor as quite noisy outside on the lower floors. No complaints at all with the room. Will definitely book again.

Down town location. Food was good, especially the pastries. Swimming pool was rather too small maybe due to space. They should try to get more adjoining properties and expand.

The rooms are very cozy. The employees were very nice to my wife and I, and followed up on everything we asked for.
The food is good and has improved ever since the opening. It’s in the city so if you’re on a business trip, you’ll be close to different offices.

Is an old hotel with old modern facility cool for relaxation for anyone very peaceful nice staff. They are all friendly ready to help out especially the black tall manager.
