The service is perfect. It's out of the very busy markets. It clean with ok Wi-Fi if not much clients. Cold showers.
Breakfast like everywhere I went in Senegal bread with jam, tea or instant coffee.
It's popular so if possible reservation is a good idea.
New part is more expensive. Have no informations.
My whole experience was very positive here at auberge kayokulo. It was spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I have stayed here before but was pleasantly surprised by its complete new upgrade. It has a new 3 storey building beside the existing (one storey) building. It got a new paint job and was tiled throughout, even in the garden was tiled. This made the whole place so much brighter and really lovely.
We chose the presidential suite which consisted of an en suite double room with balcony and an attached sitting/lounge room for relaxing. The small area in between both rooms was equipped with fridge and kettle for making tea etc. Rooms were cleaned daily and towels and bedclothes were changed. If you want to eat here, you need to order in advance so just tell the staff in the morning. The food was delicious and we ate all our meals here, even when we went out for the day, we always returned to eat here. The rooms have a fan, aircon and mosquito net. It also has free Wi-Fi. We loved chatting with the staff and other guests in the garden in the evening. We enjoyed some Senegalese tea (called ataya) that the staff very kindly made for us. The atmosphere here is so welcoming and chilled, I didn’t want to leave.
I would definitely recommend that you book in advance as it was quite busy when we were there and some guest were disappointed because there were no rooms available when they turned up without booking.

I was there in November for 13 days, and it was a good experience overall. And I would stay there again. However, there should be a microwave in the room, but instead you must take whatever that needs "warming up" downstairs to the Staff for them to heat it up for you.
