Great food court… half of the shops on some floors are non operational.

Very bad & slow service The room has terrace which is dirty and closed. So basically we have got no view in the room!

I had two nights in this hotel, The location is very close to Al Harm, The reception team is very professional and cooperative, especially Miss Zainab, The rooms are Large with high quality of furniture, every employee there is working to satisfy hotel guests, I highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful hotel, I had a wonderful time last 4 days. Impeccable service, elegant setting and a really lovely breakfast. Everything was close to perfect, Amazing room, food and service. We had a fantastic time… Only negative side is language problem. Especially security staff can’t speak English at all, So I found it very hard to communicate with them when I needed helped few time. But overall it was a nice stay!

Fabulous food, friendly staff & fantastic view of Al-Haram.

A bad experience staying in Fairmont. Staff behavior, language skills are very poor, can’t speak English. Dress code is unique than all over Saudi Arabia, lack of knowledge and training to staff. I have asked the reception I want to make a complain, very shocked to hear that there is no complain form.

My first day experience wasn’t good
The security didn’t let me enter the building because they thought I am lying about having reservation even tho I showed them my reservation 2 times and they sent me on wrong route and I had to pay 100 for parking
Second day my floor and 16 other floors lost power and water for 4 hours and there was no one came to tell us about it and when I called reception they didn’t know anything about it.

Best Hotel to stay in Makkah with Haram view. Not only rooms were good but the food was also awesome.

Location is excellent but if you are on the higher levels then near prayer times it is very difficult to get a lift. Long waiting times. Again getting into the car park and booking in was a very long process but this was peak period during Hajj season. Rooms themselves were very good, clean, tidy, good quality finish. Regular cleaning but always had to ask for extra water bottles as they were like gold dust. Very good standard of food, great variety. Visually well presented but taste was hit and miss, not bad tasting but more lack of taste in some options. Best to try small amounts of everything till you get an idea of what you like. Would stay again.

Very comfortable hotel. You spend your Umrah or Hajj in a pleasant way especially as the Sacred Mosque is next to the hotel.

Lovely place and very pretty. Busy most times. Room are modern but on the small side. Service levels are on the down side as they are very busy. On the flip side when you do get service it's excellent service. Wi-Fi is very weak Security staff are bit of the top if you forget your room card and don't let you in to the building or reception area. Location is great and easy to find. Standard food and drinks with nice environment. Good price room's but expensive during busy season's. Most rooms are booked out very quick. I do recommend this place.

Overall experience was good! Extremely clean! Only the downside was that there was no procedure in place for medical emergency! Which is a bit odd. Other than that excellent staff, very well managed. Very good hotel to go and stay to!

Good hotel close to harram, if you have no any problem then you are lucky and will enjoy the stay but if you have any problem then the hotel service is not good. I visited with my family having kids and fridge of the room was not working they changed it but after 5 days and we called taxi for airport drop and no body helped to bring the taxi in parking area. We informed taxi number to security and they were not able to do it fast then we called taxi driver on main road and we walked by feet and we lost about one hour just to get inside the taxi.

A true five star: clean, organized and dedicated staff, perfect and consistent breakfast, dream location a few steps from the mosque! I highly recommend.

Excellent hotel, best location, one entrance inside Makkah Tower Mall — right in front of King Abdul Aziz Gate. Rooms are nice. Vast breakfast menu. Interiors are superb.

We spent 8 nights, it is a huge hotel with more than 40 floors,
rooms with very clean bathrooms and very mediocre breakfast for a 5 star, to have a view on lharam degree they ask for more money once you are on the spot! At the end of the stay they add new urban taxes! The icing on the cake!

Good spacious clean room with safe. Holy Kaba view room also available. Good fast lifts. Good breakfast buffet but no Pakistani or Indian items. Overall good and courteous staff.

Had a beautiful experience at this hotel in this beautiful city! This is such a great distance from the Great Mosque and my family is so grateful to have received such amazing and kind service from the staff. The hotel is so clean, breakfast is amazing in Khairat Hotel (they have hundreds of different kinds of foods). Staff is always kind and ready to assist in making your stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you so much, I definitely recommend Swissotel in Makkah you will not be disappointed! Will tell everyone back home about our beautiful experience here! Bless all of you amazing people that helped us… Just read the review about the lack of First Aid and help in medical-related situations though, please address that issue to prevent situations like that from happening again.

Awesome Hotel with very good service. Specially the breakfast. It's remarkably good. The best part of my stay. Room is good and room service is also up to the mark. Only want to say about the elevator service as there are so many elevators available and each one is directed to different floors. So, some confusion raised initially. All in all, I must say it was a nice experience.

Excellent reception and welcome, decent breakfast buffet, beautiful view of El Haram. Five stars.

Great hotel we love from Uzbekistan ✊

It’s location is good. I would give it 3 stars for 2 main things: no body answer when you call reception, not even the hotel itself. I have tried to call before we come to ask about the parking, but there line was not working. Also there is no car parking lot, you need to take your car to Kudai parking and come by taxi. The room was fine, we have took a room with 4 beds. It was very crowded that there was no space to open the curtain. Their breakfast was not bad.

Generally a good hotel. Good rooms and food. Rest rooms are small and sometimes wait at the elevators. How ever I was deeply impressed with hospitality of their concierge staff. Specially the executive chief l, Maqsood Khan. His behaviour and mannerism is above par. Excellent. Helped us greatly during check in and check out. Any hotel having such staff is absolutely lucky.

Stayed during the Hajj period. Decent place. Unfortunately not a 5 star as mentioned. I would say a very good 4 star. Lovely views of The Haram Lovely choice off food. Dinner Buffet was excellent, huge variety with quality.

Nice place to stay in Mecca and it maximizes the experience. Awesome buffet food. Would love to come back. Best part is close to the grand mosque and rooms are connected to haram speaker system so that room prayer can be counted as in haram. Internet service was supper fast and good even in hajj busy days. It was very crowded due to hajj season yet organized during largest public event on earth. Part of large mall so I did not have to shop anywhere else which left much time for Ibaadah.

Great experience. Awsome food. Best part is Close to the mosque. Courteous staff and rooms r pretty neat n clean. Internet service is really good. I can access my work place back in USA. Still here for couple of more days to enjoy the grandeur of this amazing place. Thank you swissotel for making our stay memorable.

Near the holy mosque and also near restaurant… but my hotel room doesnt have good blanket and its not thick. Other than that the services are good. Food is also good for morning buffets. I appreciate their hospitality!

A great experience and so close to the Grand Mosque. Staff were always friendly and very helpful. Good size rooms and well made up/cleaned daily. Breakfast was excellent with a large variety of cuisines. The hotel is part of a larger complex which includes a mall. The food court in the mall has a decent selection. Would love to come back.

It is my second year to stay at swissotel makkah upon my request through my agent, as its location, distance to the Haram and the easiest facility to use to get to Haram, as you need only one left to hotel lobby then straight all the way down, on the contrary of other hotels at the towers were you have to use more lefts which means more time. Reception staff need more training for customer care, it seems they have not heared of eye contact, they make you feel that you are staying there because you have to, not because you chosed to. I want to thank MR. Anas Habla from Al Rowwad Resturant for his kind treatment, his prfessionality in handling his job and for the big smile that he kept on his face regardless of the heavy load of guests during the time of my stay May 2016. I had tow duble rooms for five nights, unfortunately no complemetary Wi-Fi which is too bad for such a nice hotel, this will make me think twice whether to stay again at swiss or a nother hotel at the same area, the irony is that I had some friends who were stayig at three stars hotel, five minutes by shuttle bus to Haram and they have comlemetary Wi-Fi during there stay. I think the hotel management should take this issue seriously and should find a solution or for sure you will not find you customers there, and iam absolutely sure that you do not need this to happen.

My stay was for 5 days. Great property location and huge shopping mall within. BUT, no Wi-Fi. I tried purchasing Wi-Fi at front desk, the clerk refused to help me and told me to come back 2 hours later. Gesturing me with hand to go away! You are catering to international community. Please teach your employees English and Muslim manners. Behavior of men towards women is appalling. Food was horrible.

I didn't like because customer service is not available at all and they don't understand your requirements. I booked a triple bed room and paid it in full before coming and when I arrive they tell me that we have only 2 bed rooms with an extra bed! I had to pay more to get upgrade to triple room! Also Wi-Fi to be paid? I pay 2300 SR a night for a crappy room and I have pay extra for the Wi-Fi? I have to pay to get an extra bottle of water? I cant swipe Iftar for Sohoor? What kind of crap weird answers and unbelievable for what we have paid.

Best hotel, service and quality I rate this the best in Mecca me and my whole family got 5 star treatment from star to end of stay with complimentary breakfast enough to feed anyone im serious, the breakfast alone is made by Michelin star chefs to say the least each room comes fully furnished with nespresso machine and pods, a bar fridge with everything being in the most eligant of designs.

I've been to Makkah more than 17 times, & stayed in several hotels, but since I booked once at this hotel, It was my place in Makkah since then. The hotel is clean and just short distance to the Haram & another door to the mall. Breakfast has big variety of choices. The staff are friendly. You may ask for a room with a view of Kaaba, pay additional charge for that.

Salam Alaikum, I came to Makkah last hajj season and had a memorable five days while staying at the Swisshotel and being in the yard of Allah's house. The staff of the hotel are simply guided by Allah SWT to just make it feel better. Swisshotel is one of the best hotels for Muslim families and newly married couples to stay in. It combines comfort with luxury add to all that the Barakah of Allah's house. I salute the high professionalism of the staff and the quality of the service that exceeded expectations. The other thing worthy to mention is that this hotel employs the best chefs in the world. Besides being halal and well chosen, well served, and well cooked, the food served there is not like any hotel food, it probably has some of the flavors of Jannah…

Very Very poor customer service not even close to a 5 star luxury hotel! Asked to take our luggage 4 times, no one came. Elevators are always full and you have to wait a good 3-6 minutes. No Wi-Fi which is very weird because in madinah they had free Wi-Fi all day everyday. Buffet was OK. We booked 3 rooms and all of them should have 3 beds but they had only 2 when we arrived, we asked them for an extra bed and they forgot to do it on the 3rd room and they ended up switching a room 3 floors above which we weren't happy about because we were a huge family, the closer, the better. We couldn't call any room because the phone was acting weird which took them a good hour or two to fix. That was my experience, I'm not sure if i'm ever coming back…

The charges are not value for money. No Wi-Fi — you have to pay for it, which is shocking in this day and age! Room service is extremely poor! Our room was not made up when asked tk and even when it was, old towels were not taken back. Toiletries and teas were not replenished. The view we had was the only highlight. Breakfast buffet was average. Its also the furthest hotel from the Haram so make sure you always leave very early as the lifts get very busy very fast, especially close to prayer times.

I went to Mecca and I chose this Swiss hotel for my stay with my family of 4 and we find it was wonderful I wish there go back there I recommend.

Nice hotel, only issue have no internet. Otherwise everything is good, Room Service, Breakfast, cleaning, Distance to Haram. Plus point Alhamdulilah there are speaker in every room so can hear direct Azaan from Haram.

Beautiful place. The only thing I had an issue with was housekeeping not coming up even when our make up room light was on. So for that it loses a star. Great variety for breakfast! Try the pancakes! Oh. It also loses a star for no free Wi-Fi! Hellishly expensive Wi-Fi for only 1 day.

Wi-Fi is not included in room rate. Paid 60 Riyals a day for Wi-Fi. A bit far from Haram compared to other hotels in the complex. Walking through the Mall every time to go to the Haram became tedious. Would have preferred a hotel with direct street access.

So basically from arrival, walked into the lobby dragging my luggage and trying to maintain my decency by picking up my falling ihram. To see a crowd at reception tearing their hairs out in frustration. I was half awake from my journey, zoning in and out of consciousness, at that point if they gave me a bed in the WC area, I would have been forever grateful as I wanted to get some serious sleep. Thankfully, we (two of us) managed to see someone within 15 minutes or so (-/+ 5 minutes) and managed to get our room, I cannot say the same about others who waited there for a long time. So, upon receiving our cards, we went towards our room and I decided to take a quick shower to refresh myself. The shower temperature variable knob was stuck in its place, so I had to force myself to have a cold shower, alas, it woke me up, but I don't want that to be seen as a positive, I would have much rather preferred to have a warm shower! I called reception and asked them to send someone up to fix this, after 25 minutes or so, some Filipino looking man with his tool box came up. He did his thing and finally got it to work, and tested the shower head out by squirting the water into the toilet bowel. — I nearly threw up in my mouth! You should have seen him, squatting down near the toilet with both hands inside the bowel, merrily holding the shower head on full blast gushing out, whilst all the micro organisms and faecal matter is gently misting his smiley face.

Hotel very good, close to the Haram, professional staff, should have my expectations as a customer. I there was in January 2015 during the Umrah. I recommend it to anyone wishing to go to Mecca.

The hotel deserves 5 stars. So close to Harm. Everything is in order from check in to Check out. The room is clean with good size. All amenities are available such as safe, coffee machine, kettle, hair dryer, etc.

An experience that left me with no thoughts of where to stay on my future travels to makkah. The swissotel. A beautiful reception and warm staff, with one person standing out in particular, SHAKEER from the breakfast room. A truly kind and warm heart who left us with a home away from home feeling. My husband and I were so well taken care of by shakeer, who made sure we got a pleasant and well served breakfast every morning. Thank you to the swissotel, makkah especially shakeer for a wonderful experience.

No hot water, no luggage in room! Checked in at 10pm after a long and tiring journey. Couldn't have a shower because there was no hot water. I requested 2 triple interconnecting rooms got a triple and a double that were on different corridors albeit on the same floor. My luggage appeared at 3am. I was not impressed with the chap who brought the luggage to the room. Named Raju who was in my opinion uncaring and rude, but that might be due to cultural differences. There was complimentary water in one room but not the other. As I was here for umrah, I went straight out after checking in to perform the rituals. Got in at around 2am. Couldn't sleep, because the room next door was being vacuumed at 3.30am! Had to be up at 4.30 for morning prayer, so not the happiest bunny in the world. At breakfast I asked milk for my tea, the chap brought me another pot of tea! I didn't bother to ask again. There is complimentary tea coffee in the room, but no milk. You have to pay for that. Never had that experience in any other hotel. After paying so much for a "good" hotel to please the wife and kids, I am left disappointed. At least I know next time to book a cheap and cheerful hotel so my expectations are not shattered. Would have given one star, but the decor and finish of the hotel is top class. Shame about the service.
