Review of Anjum Makkah Hotel 5*

Was here for 8 days in February 2016. People must research the location of the hotel, close to haram does not always mean it's appropriate for you. If you use this hotel be prepared as you must cross other side of masjid for food etc (don't even think about using the hotel services) pushed me into washing my clothes I demanded prices as they looked quite high and was told don't worry it's okay hahaha was charged 538 SSR about £100 for a small bag forcefully. — one abaya and few kids clothes 1st day washing (one days worth. 1 star because of the collective scam of the staff and that they had no shame after otherwise good general service they could really upset a lot of people doing this. Please if you are having any weak or elderly in your family don't come here unless you are prepared to pay for all hotel services including food etc otherwise you will just about make it for salah as you have to rush around everywhere as this hotel is in a VERY awkward location at the moment very much so. As the works are quite heavy and even without because it looks close but it is close to the new extension which you cannot enter except through near the old mosque anyway. And if you could enter from there still you would walk more than 5 mins to the mosque and a fairly quick speed then cross to the right to get food and if you must regularly make contact with your room then May Allah help you I am 32 and ended up in a wheel chair for 6 days hurt my back and pulled all muscles in legs till I could not physically walk. The fairly comfortable looking hotel don't do anything for you and btw it does look better than videos or pictures lifts are excellent plenty of them but horrible deceptive staff one cheats you the other pretends to help but is in on the scam. Hope you experience better IA but I will NEVER wish to use this hotel to hard could not worship in the haram tawaf only twice and 5 prayers 8 days 6 of them in extreme pain from trying to manage this complex location. Lol reviews here of Anjum must be from people who have not been to Makkah much, the praise is laughable looks nice is funny 'looks nice as opposed to many cheaper hotels but you are paying for it that's why and that's all in a lot of cases they do clean nice though and it is a good service but no way great. It is just all built I think to look good but failed somewhere in that feels unused unnecessary. The fraud of which the receptionist agreed with me that it was unacceptable behaviour for staff to come to you after not telling the exact price for my clothes (small amount), also I told him could I not have it pressed or put on hangers as both are chargeable here which is understood but I don't want it if possible quick wash and dry was told that's fine price will be small don't worry we will do that manager told me so we don't do that after 3 days of arguing was giving a tiny discount Becoz of the so called by him "confusion" paid £80 in the end there was no confusion I asked the laundry service supervisor about washing and was pushed into using their service using deception and it took 3 days to get my clothes back Becoz they were placed under arrest and being investigated lmao after that a reluctant acknowledgement of their mistake (cheat) and reluctant discount. I really thought I would get an apology and maybe to show respect for my patience with them waive the payment. I thought that's what they would do even though I don't seek any reward just not to be looked at as its my fault not understanding them when really it is they who understood me clearly (the guy speaks fluent English and is dedicated for the English speakers) and cheated me and upset my mother so otherwise better review but no 1star is more than enough for them.
