One&Only Gorillas Nest

One&Only Gorilla’s Nest is a stunningly beautiful hotel outside Kinigi, Rwanda. My experience here was extraordinary and one I will never forget. Beyond the over-the-top visual appearance and ambience of the property, the staff is what makes this place exceptional! Meeting and conversing with the people here was delightful. Not only do they work hard together to make everything run smoothly, they also go out of the way to fulfill your every possible need! My sense was that the many people here that I spoke with have a genuine desire for engagement and enjoy those moments when we are just two people sharing a bit of life with one another. I deeply enjoyed these moments and know that it was a privilege for me to get to have them.
The One&Only Gorilla’s Nest is an exceptional place and if you ever get the opportunity to visit Rwanda-make this a stop on your itinerary.

We had an incredible experience. The website describes the resort facilities and accommodations accurately; they are all superb. However, words cannot describe how wonderful the service, staff and management was. In reflecting back, there is no way possible that any aspect of our stay could have been better. We had a great stay at this hotel. Everything is amazing! We went to see the gorillas yesterday and were caught in the rain. Upon our return, the hotel staff took good care of us. They cleaned boots and later sent them to our rooms. Such a nice experience!

Just a great place to visit and stay. Forget about being close to the Gorillas, this place is so nice and has so many other things to do. Service levels beyond a 5 rating. Daily surprises and if there is something they can do for you, they probably already have. I love we were always asked what else could be done for us. The food was stunning. Lunch was always a joy. Probably the biggest challenge of our stay was trying to eat all the amazing food! The rooms were luxurious. The bed comfortable with great linens. We were sad to leave that is for sure!

After an unforgettable week at the fabulous O&O Nyungwe House, we simply couldn’t leave Rwanda without visiting the sister property, O&O Gorilla’s Nest, for at least two days. And what an incredible journey it turned out to be, once again!
Just when we thought nothing could surprise us anymore, we were again left speechless. From the moment we arrived, the warm and joyful welcome, complete with traditional dance and the kind gesture of Mr. Tim, the General Manager, personally greeting us, made us feel exceptionally special and welcomed. It was truly a beautiful touch that went above and beyond, huge thank you!
The resort itself is a dream come true.
The forest, surrounded by lush gardens with white and pink roses, and just a stone’s throw from the Volcanoes National Park, it feels like a fairytale come to life. Our villa, with its large glass doors opening to a spacious terrace and a stunning green yard, offered ultimate privacy. The tranquility and cozy fireplace, outdoor shower, and bathtub made it feel like we had the entire place to ourselves.
We felt the same warmth and exclusivity during dinner in the library and when the wonderful Joy arranged a special outdoor dinner by the fireplace. Joy truly lives up to her name and she brought us so much happiness!
A special thanks to the extraordinary Sandra at the pool and Club One for predicting my needs and even creating a special cocktail with sparkling water and rose petals. It was absolutely delightful, just WOW!

Truly a once in a lifetime experience. We were only there for 2 nights to hike with the gorillas in Volcano National Park and wish we could have stayed longer. A magical place indeed.

While I wish I could remember every team member’s name, I can confidently say that the entire staff was exceptional, embodying a level of service that made us feel truly special. The attention to detail, genuine smiles, and personal touches left us in awe.

Absolutely stunning resort. Every little details is taken care of. Staff are going out of their way to make sure you have everything for your stay.
Property gardens are beautiful. I could not count amount and kinds of flowers.
Rooms are comfortable and very private.
To stay active you can ride bikes, participate in yoga classes, spiritual healing, walking trails.

To add resort is very close to Gorilla Walking trails. We had great experience with local trekkers and guides, who were knowledgeable about Gorilla's and their habitats.
Rwanda overall is very green, clean and people are very friendly.

One & Only Gorilla's Nest was absolutely beautiful and the service was 5-star. They directed us to different choices for a DMC “Destination Management Company” to take care of our gorilla trekking itinerary and we chose Hirwa Safaris. They were absolutely top notch. Daphne responds and communicates quickly and professionally. Levis was a wonderful driver and beyond kind and accommodating. What a blessing! The staff at One & Only were quite pleasant, the food was good, laundry was timely everyday and we couldn’t believe how clean our hiking boots and gear were after each trek. Thank you all!

Actual heaven on earth. The location, service, team, rooms are beyond wonderful. We stayed for a week for a friend’s birthday and the team went above and beyond to cater for our needs. Will definitely be back.
