Hotel Volkhov is close by to Kremlinovskiy Park so the location is awesome and there are some nice restaurants around it. The room itself was mediocre at best. Too much effort was spent on the decor of the common areas and not enough on the actual rooms.

All well, polite staff, delicious food, kind of clean but not 4 stars. There is no air conditioning, no minibar, no safe. In the summer without air conditioning, of course, not very… Another huge drawback, all the windows of the most expensive rooms go out, and it is constantly driving cars and buses, the noise is terrible, and due to the lack of air conditioning windows had to open, so very noisy and not comfortable.

Stayed at this hotel in early June for one night. They Came to see the sights of the city, to walk. For This purpose the location of the hotel is chic-3 min walk from the heart of the city of Novgorod Kremlin, near cafes, shops, restaurants. Our room overlooked the courtyard, so it was peaceful, quiet and not hot. The Room was very clean, the breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly. No Air conditioning. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Rooms are of medium size.
Breakfast is average-there is a basic (porridge, muesli, vegetables, eggs, cottage cheese, salads, hot second dishes, etc. But the fruit is not enough).
There is no Water in the rooms. We had to take a pitcher in the bar and pour water from the cooler to the reception. Fenov is not present, but at the request he was brought. Perhaps the best hotel in Veliky Novgorod. Clean room, cleaned every day, change towels, bring water to the room, there are shower gels, shampoos, dental and shaving sets, soap. Great restaurant, breakfast-buffet. There is a shoe cleaning machine, billiards, souvenir shop. Convenient location-not far from the Kremlin. Went to rest two families for May weekend for two days from the Tver region. Chose "Volkhov" focusing on the reviews and excellent location. Prices are average, children's menu did not try, but ordered from a baby 1 salad with french fries. Did not like (potatoes too fried, chicken cutlets are very dry, there were few vegetables). The rooms were junior suite and comfort. Everything you need is available (hair dryer, refrigerator, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, Wi-Fi. Bath accessories and bathrobes for 3 people. Despite the fact that the rest with the child, the number of towels and accessories-more than enough. Rooms are clean, Nice, fresh renovation. The bed linen and towels are white. Nice. On each floor of the hotel there is a cozy bar with sofas, tables, TV, newspapers, friendly staff. Of the disadvantages: we have a zaedala door. Very good location.
