Perfectly located hotel in the Old Town area of Timisoara. High standard of rooms, which are huge and comfortable. All clean and new. Efficiently working air conditioning system in the room which is critical during entire summer season. Excellent starting point for Old Town tour which is beautiful. Great place to stay for business or city break!

Clean and new! that's my opinion of the Opera Hotel.
I found two beautifully designed bottles filled with still water in the room. It's a nice service, but also a risk. My first impulse was to drink straight from the bottle, then I thought about the other tourists who did the same. A beautiful bottle, but unsafe from a hygienic point of view.

A part of the building is modern another part is old and was remodeled but it was a job cheaply done, the room where I stayed was in the old part, and it was ok at best, I wouldn't rate it a 4 stars hotel. Honestly is hard to understand how this hotel is so highly rated. I understand there are different types of rooms, in my case I reserved a double standard. The room was small, the bathroom very small and not practical, and there was a bad smell in the room and that part of the hotel coming from the pipes. The AC only works when we are on the room which is standard these days, however, the AC does not to a good job cooling the room. The temperature in the days that I stayed there was on average 22-24 degrees but the room at night was 26.5-27. The AC was also very noisy so not pleasant to have it turned on during the night.
The breakfast was ok, but probably not worth the price, you will be better of going for a breakfast somewhere else.
I would say that I unless the location is really important for you, you can find better than this hotel, specially considering that the price is quite high when you compare with other places.
