Fantastic location.
Rooms with balconies on top of the beach. Fall asleep to the noise of the waves and wake up with a stunning view right above the sea.
Very friendly and attentive staff.
Impeccable cleanliness.
Breakfast buffet with everything and anything else.
Small repair that I find easy to improve: every time you slam the door of a room it makes a lot of noise, sometimes it is at night.

Recommend.

Amazing restaurant, extremely fresh fish beautifully grilled! Spacious rooms but lacking in storage space and weak air conditioner. The best pool ever and friendly staff.

Lovely hotel. Fabulous location. Great facilities for families. All rooms are sea facing with balconies. Spectacular views of the ocean, beach, swimming pool and nearby cliffs. Rooms are spacious and quiet. Huge double shower in the bathroom.

Situated on one of the most beautiful beaches on the sintra coast. The ocean pools are wonderful. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Ideal for drinking a glass and watching the sunset.

I visit and love Hotel Arribas since many years and I felt from the first moment Home there. The staff is always lovely, very helpful, welcoming, caring and very family friendly.
YOU ARE AMAZING! I MISS YOU! … All the generous and beautiful rooms with Wi-Fi and TV have an overwhelming view over the Atlantic Ocean and I love to wake up and go to bed with the sound of the waves! This Hotel is in every season a place for body and soul and I enjoy very much the fantastic climate, nature and beach and the great saltwater Pool! In the morning you enjoy a big Continental Breakfast! I love the fresh fruit-salad and Pão de Deus, but also the scrambled eggs with toast, cheese and tomato. In the Cafeteria you can eat a various of meals and snacks as well as coffee, tea and pastries. The pool is for Hotel guests included and Praia Grande next to the Hotel offers you several sport activities. In front of the Hotel you find the Bus 441, which brings you in 20 minutes to Sintra or you take the Hop on Hop off Bus at the same Station for a round Trip to all the lovely sights around. (Cabo da Roca, Sintra with all the Palaces, …) In the evening I love to dine in the Restaurant of the Hotel in — or outside, enjoying the amazing
seafood — or meat courts, Pasta, salad, … with some excellent glasses of wine with THE VERY BEST SUNSET AND VIEW! Feliz Natal! See you tomorrow❤️

The air conditioning does not work in most rooms, the plumbing is flowing. Of the pluses: in the center, cozy, clean.

Great staff. Amazing experience. Highly recommend for those to come and visit/stay.

Not a bad hotel but the restaurant is expensive, and the near-life of a few good establishments, dishes and appliances are old, some waiters vaporize expensive dishes.

The pool is amazing, area is spectacular, service is great, the restaurant service is good but the food is not as great as in some of the restaurants nearby. Might be back… largely for the pool.

Quick note: I didn't actually stay at the hotel, only went to the pool. Nontheless, just wanted to point out that everything went perfect. All the staff I spoke to had no problem with english and for 16 bucks for pool access you really won't find a better deal with such an amazing view :)

Plenty of curving mountainous roads, bikes and motorcycles to negotiate en route to the beautiful corner of Portugal. Arribas holds a unique stance on the beach with waves crashing on the seawall and onto the pool. Plenty of activities and bars/restaurants available in the area but opportunities for solitude. The rooms were very good. The bath great and the breakfast outstanding. We will return!

Fabulous setting… the wild Atlantic at the rear of the Hotel. Rooms basic but very clean. Food lovely… the fish dishes were exceptional & the wine. Staff really friendly & helpful…

No water, tea or coffee in the room. But if you want hot water (it’s freezing), you could go down stair asking a pot hot water and bringing back your room by yourself. What a great service!

Not a bad hotel. Was in June 2017, the air conditioning in the room did not work, though it is not really there needed on the ocean is not hot, but the fact. If you arrive by car, there is parking on site. We had to go to the reception and ask what would be opened. On Saturday and Sunday all the free space near the hotel is occupied by cars holidaymakers. It does not apply to the parking lot of the hotel, it is only for guests.

A good hotel for a weekend getaway.

Fantastic view to waves with surfers. Rooms are big and minimalistic. Not cozy. Strange style. Off season this feels like a ghost hotel. Door to rooms are not soundproof at all. Breakfast was not included in my stay, which I find weird.

Beautiful view, friendly staff, but some of the rooms needed to be updated.

Good service, great view and we had a really pleasant stay. Also I forgot my watch and they were willing to send it to me home, so I'm looking forward to come back the next time!

Decent hotel, shows its age, sufficient breakfast.

AC doesn't work well in the rooms. Staff isn't very helpful. Hotel guests have to pay for pool towels (€3.50/towel) and the towel I was given had a hole in it. Nice bathroom in the remodeled rooms. Good location for the beach, that's probably the best thing about the hotel though.

Air conditioning is terrible, in room safe is broken, and they charge guests for pool towels! Nice views though.

An outrageous monster. I did not stay at this hotel, I only drank a coffee in their bar and found this gray building of a bad taste. It completely ruined a wonderful beach.

The best and most beautiful location. Wonderful building also beautifully designed. This is our 2nd year, We can never stay long enough. Staff are friendly professional.

Awful place. Room was full of mosquitoes when we woke up after the first night. My fiancé is now covered in bites. Cleaner oddly left a dead squashed mosquito in the middle of newly made bed. We took it as a message to grab our stuff and leave which we did even though we had paid for 2 more nights. Also concerned that the terrible mattress on the bed has damaged my back. Staff didn't care about our awful stay as we had paid in advance. There are many other places to stay nearby with wonderful service and facilities stay in one of those instead. The beachside location is a draw but not worth it you would be happier staying in a tent or a box than this hotel.

The view is awesome. But the hotel is relatively frugal. One room key. Saltwater pool. Only bread for breakfast. Small, thin towels. Few towels. Springy bed. And blankets?

Sea view in all the breathtaking rooms. Beautiful giant swimming pool.
Nice modern and spacious rooms, only flat breakfast with pastries from the previous day, and no hot buffet yet existing in small hotel.

Positive points:
The lady's at the reception give you a warm welcome as if you come home. The place is amazing the lady of the breakfast yara is her name, she is super she knows how to welcome guests. She know how to give guests there space but at the same time she knows when you need her help. …
Negative point: Unfortunately there is olso staffmember that make me want to go eat outside of the hotel her name is alzira she has no patients and make you feel uncomfortable. Beside that if I make a choice to eat the standard answer is oh but this is much better and that is not what you want on a holiday.

Hotel Arribas is fantastic! Staff are incredibly friendly and very welcoming. Special thanks to the wonderful Alzira, Sonia, both Natalya's on reception and to the kind and very charming bar manager, Amilcar. We left feeling we had made several new and very special friends. The food is always excellent and the pool is huge! Lovely sea view rooms and a fabulous location. We stayed Aug 26-Sept 2nd 2016 and had a fabulous time. Thank you so very much. Xxx.

The view from the hotel is gorgeous both from the restaurant and from the ocean view rooms The balconies are equipped with tables and chairs you can truly feel the ocean breathe. The pool with a beautiful plunge area and an immense is swimming area even if is filled with seawater. The décor and room facilities are a bit old. The restaurant room, while serving decent food, flaws a bit in cleanliness, but the staff is polite and courteous. The beach is free, full of surfers and poorly supervised, but is attached to the hotel and ideal for walks.

Very good hotel. Outsanding beach view from the room's balcony. Bathroom is not so good. I don't like showers with plastic curtains. I didn't try the food. I stayed only one day.

It brings back fond memories, I was in the ' 80s in study trip.

Very extended and good food, excellent tried but it fails the air conditioning does not cool as needed. If you're looking for waves is more area of the body that surf.

A pleasant surprise. We came to eat and we found a quiet place with amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean. Staff we attended in a very friendly way (even without being clients of the hotel). Very good food; recommend the olives with feta cheese and the Cod "Narcissus".

We stayed here in June of 2013. The pool and beach are great. Do realize that the pool is unheated, so plan accordingly to wanting to swim. The food was great. The internet like others have said would only really work up in the lobby! The beds were very hard. The sunsets were great. Would I stay here again? Yes If they fix the internet and beds, it would be a very nice hotel and I would stay here for at least 3-4 days just to relax. Hope this helps, Enjoy.
