Amazing hotel right in the center of Lisbon! Got upgraded via Expedia to the breakfast and it was the best hotel breakfast spread I’ve ever seen. Fresh eggs (not runny), plus a wide assortment of fresh fruits and veggies, and patries. Plus free mimosas with freshly squeezed orange juice! The room was clean and the staff checked on us several times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

This hotel is in a perfect position to visit Lisbon, it is clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the architecture and the design is well-thought through. I really enjoyed my stay in the International Design Hotel and if you want, check out also the restaurant — it is totally worth it!

Great / fantastic location. Friendly and efficient staff training hard. The "design" concept is over-done. The attempt to make this place unique creates unnecessary visual noise that takes away from the experience. Each floor has its own theme that comes with distinct smell… can be a bit annoying when you are coming back after a day outside. This is a solid 3 star option. I would still consider the place if I came back as the location cannot be any better.

The hotel is in a good location in Lisbon. Centre of town and easy to get a cab outside to go further. Overall our room was comfortable and clean, good AC and breakfast was good. The main downside was the bathrooms which are a bit worn and shabby. The shower worked, but the shower head was a bit rubbish and the rainfall shower always dripped water so would wet your hair. Also the room we stayed in hardly had any free plug sockets to charge a phone etc. The coffee machine in the room was good, but there was no milk. The TV had lots of channels but no YouTube/Smart TV stuff.

Great location, cool hotel with a great vibe. The only thing I didn't like was the miscommunication of being told breakfast was included in our reservation and then on our second to last day they said it was never included. It was some back and forth, but got the issue resolved.

Have made a city trip to Lisbon and stayed for three nights in the hotel. The location is certainly top but the rest unfortunately average. Staff very helpful and nice, room clean (but very small), breakfast normal standard (the orange juice is the hammer) and the food and drink in the in-house bar far too expensive and the price not fair. They prefer to eat in the city and get much more for their money. All in all I would not stay there anymore.

Great design Hotel for a short trip to Lisbon. The location is perfect. Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are OK for the short stay (with us 3 nights). Stylishly decorated but a little small. Breakfast is recommended! Everything fresh and tasty. A generally very clean hotel with great room fragrances on each floor.
The only star deduction was for the restaurant El Bastardo which belongs to the hotel. The food was unfortunately not very good. But the bill is expensive. But, as is well known, this is a matter of taste:)
Otherwise, there was nothing to complain about. Lisbon is a great city.

The bathroom is separated by a very uncomfortable and noisy glass sliding door. Comfortable beds excellent location… a good breakfast and a restaurant of category… very well maintained and quality cuisine.

Nicely renovated hotel. However, elements of the hotel is showing its wear and age. Ultimately a good clear stay with all the amenities that you need. Interesting concepts with where the bar and restaurant are located.

Great service, clean rooms and a nice, centrally located and modern hotel. Fantastic breakfast in a cool restaurant! High quality L'Occitane products in the bathroom, and the rooms are quiet at night, even with the windows open.

The international design hotel has surprised us very positively. We arrived there at 10am, did the check-in. A lady then explained to us 10 minutes where what is and which line we should take. She also responded to our wishes and gave some hints. Was really great. In the evening at 5pm we were able to get to the room where our luggage already stood. Was great. The room was to the courtyard and was top. Even bathtub was available. When we came back to the hotel after dinner, the bed was pitched, chocolate was on it and on the table there were couple of Pastis de Nata, was really great… Even the towels were new. Top.
There were some vouchers for the bar.
Breakfast was super tasty, varied and there was a great view to the square Rossio. The staff was super friendly. From 7 am to 11 am, on the day of departure the luggage would be kept.
There's a drawback. Both in the room and in the toilets of the restaurant, the doors are equipped with a milky glass, so you can guess what is happening behind it. In the room it was a bit strange for us as a fresh couple when you can see and hear what the other is doing on the toilet… And in the public toilet you can see if JMD. Sits on the bowl. I don't like that.
Overall a super hotel and with the location clearly better located than the others.

Good location. Too xpensive for the level of room and service. We are paying 250€ per night when nearby you can find very good hotel and saving up to 100€ per night. For 250€ they don’t even give complementary bottle of water. Bathroom is very small. Bed quality is on average, I have seen much better. No amenities at all. Normal breakfast, but plate very often almost empty, for 2 fried egged I waited 30 minutes. Honestly we should pay much less.

Nice hotel in the center! Just want to say the staff are so helpful and friendly! I would like to recommend administering more attention to detail, no horns, for footwear, a set of thread… and a bit to refresh and repair) The Breakfast is good. In General 4 *justify!

150 euros for a room with a view on a wall. Old, creepy. Could have been design… long time ago.

The location is absolutely perfect. The building facade is stunning. There was one receptionist who stood out as extremely helpful and accommodating to me, giving advice and making calls for me, as did the doorman. The hostess and staff at breakfast were great too. A few things let the hotel down for us, and do not tie in with the small 'luxury' hotels distinction for me: the biggest negative being that our standard double room was really small, dark, and uninviting, with a small bathroom and very limited closet space. I may stay here in future, based on the helpful staff and fantastic location, but would be sure to request a different room from the outset.

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the Metro, the 28th and the 15th to go to Belem. The rooms are not spacious, but clean and complete with everything. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Ana speaks Italian that never hurts.

I loved this hotel. It's in a great location making it convenient to get to all the sites Lisboa has to offer. My room was beautiful and the staff was extremely helpful and nice. Walking from the hotel you can easily get to all the neighborhoods. There are tons of wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, etc. As well as the hotel restaurant which is lovely… you'll need a reservation!

Lovely, unique hotel. Incredibly characterful place with lots of artwork and individual style. Couldn't be more conveniently located, just off the main square and just down from the castle. The rooms had a coffee maker, mini bar, safe, hair dryer, iron etc. The buffet breakfast was superb. The staff were really polite and helpful.

The staff is amazing — they help you with sight seeing information and are just very friendly. They took care of my car rental arrangements — even having the car dropped off and picked up from hotel. I also spilled orange juice on my clothes and they laundered them for free. Their rooms are very unique and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely return. Location of the hotel was perfect — walking distance to everything. Thank you Diago for everything!

Rooms are on the smaller side by North American standards, but they're really nice. What's nicer is the staff. Incredibly helpful and always cheerful. Will definitely stay here again.

Excellent location, friendly staff, very stylish. Rooms smaller than average American hotels but perfectly adequate given location and style of building. Lovely place, will definitely be coming back.

Great location — although you'll have to travel for the best restaurants and bars — this really is like staying on Leicester Square. The hotel's small, sweet and very clean, with plenty of interesting design touches. Our room wasn't huge or massively luxurious but included a Nespresso machine, a mini-bath (I really hate it when hotel rooms don't have baths) and a balcony with a beautiful views over Rossio. Each floor has it's own design concept with zen, urban, tribe and pop — we had zen, which meant an enormous fluffy bed and a calm colour scheme. Special points go to the breakfast — not just for the delicious, fresh food (including mini pastel de nadas, mini fruit and canapes) but for the very reasonable timings — 7-11am.

Excellent location. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful young staff. Cute decor — maybe too cute for some. Fine shower and air conditioning. BUT: hilariously small rooms (check the website for dimensions), esp. By North American standards, and North Americans clearly are the target clientele. Terrible lighting. And tiny little toiletries. So: 'way overpriced, by a third, and especially regrettable in a city and country that badly need tourist dollars/euros/pounds.
