Very nice and peaceful place. Good food, nice and clean everywhere. The team around Herdade da Corte makes you feel like home.

A very friendly welcome, a very pleasant quiet wilderness with many opportunities for walks.

This hotel includes a site that is 700m away from the main building with four units in it which is where we stayed and what I am reviewing. There's no pool and no internet. The sitting room essentially has no window. I wouldn't stay in one of those rooms again if I could avoid it.

Great place, very friendly staff. Good food (nothing superb, but good). Creaping slow Internet. Rooms are spacious, but doors and windows block no sound. Great area, very quiet, great view, a small honesty bar for drinks, tapas and dinner, good breakfast.

Great location, very peaceful and relaxing, well off the main tourist trail. Francesco and Jowaul and their staff are very friendly and professional. Tavira the nearest town is good to stroll around and it has some good restaurants too.

Amazing place to relax and get away from the busy life we all lead. You will need a car if you want to go out. The staff can't do enough for you. A special thank you to everyone at Herdade da Corte that made us feel at home as if it was our own. Can't recommend enough you take a few days to recharge here. Wow.

Friendliness tranquility and wild beauty.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of a large agricultural estate. Quiet assured!

Needs heating in living area, and bathroom, bedroom fine with air con. Mini kitchen would be useful in the mini suite as its over a kilometer from the restaurant/ bar.

Get away from the crowds on the coast! Comfortable and clean rustic-style rooms in a beautiful quiet location. A wonderful restaurant and bar are on site. The breakfast includes fresh breads, cheeses, jams, cured meats, fresh juice, yogurt and more. Beautiful terraces overlook the valley. Friendly multi-lingual staff. The road to the hotel is narrow and winding but well sign-posted.

Wonderful team of people work at this Country House. They went out of their way to accommodate myself and family (including a boisterous 2 yer old). The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The views are gorgeous, and the peaceful darkness of the night is something I will miss very much. The rooms were clean and well presented, as well as the pool and lounge facilities. This is now our family holiday spot! highly recommend this place, and it's people!

A quiet country retreat in an old hunting lodge, with excellent service and attention to detail. A good buffet breakfast and excellent dinner that never failed to impress. The honesty bar fitted the spirit of the place really well and the owners were nothing but helpful. Room quality was excellent, they used high quality bed linen and mattresses to add to the relaxation of the stay, and the aircon was useful when it got too hot, but the thick walls also kept the rooms much cooler. Couple of things to remember when staying here, you need a hire car unless you plan to laze around the pool and drink beer for your whole trip. Also, they do not serve lunch, so you will need to get something yourselves, so that is at least an 8 km round trip by car to visit one of the local restaurants. Personally, I loved it as I wanted a quiet trip, but don't expect a huge number of activities apart from walking and swimming in a really nice pool, I wouldn't hesitate to book again though.

Very quiet surroundings, small but nice rooms, good pool, good food, friendly staff. Music once a week… don't know if everybody likes that.

The menu changes on a daily basis and local dishes are prepared from fresh ingredients. Stunning views. Booking is advised. Friendly staff.

Perfect place. This was our second time to visit there, so next summer will be out third visit :-).

Had a fabulous night here at Herdade da Corte, wonderful Blues Band, friendly staff who made us feel really welcome, peaceful place to chill out by the pool, would highly recommend. Definitely be back ☺

A Relaxing Peaceful Stay We actually stayed here in July 2012, not so long after the fire scorched the area causing major damage and effecting the lives of many. This place is slightly out of the way which is exactly what we wanted, some peace and tranquility away from the busy Algarve beaches. Our room was spacious and well set out with excellent daily cleaning. We found the owner to be very friendly, helpful and positive, especially considering what had just recently happened in the local area. Breakfast was more than adequate for us and we often started out day on the balcony under the shade overlooking the surrounding area. The was clean and cool which was much needed on a summer's day in the Algarve.

AWESOME! No Brits, which overrun Faro. Staff/Owner is FANTASTIC.
