The hotel complex and gardens are lush, tranquil, peaceful, 3 pools, buffet breakfast, tennis courts, short walk to restaurants beach.

The food is very poor quality, can’t get a decent cup of coffee or tea the bars are poorly stock (ask for rum and coke they had about a quarter bottle of Havana club at the pool side bar on the day we arrived by the Wednesday t it was finnished and no rum at all in the main bar so ordered a malt whiskey and it cost 10 euros plus 3 euros for a can of 7 up. I asked the manager about this his response we order our supplies on a Monday) the whole place needs a good clean and maintenance
not enough staff in my opinion certainly not a 4 star hotel even 2 stars is pushing it.

Facilities and services way below 4 start hotel (poor breakfast, no kettle / tea in the room, you have to pay to use a safe, though safe box is too small to fit a laptop, Wi-Fi is paid per device per day (! ), outdated room and bathroom look). The hotel manager is very rude. We had to call the police so that he allows us to write a complaint into the Complaints Book. Avoid this place!

IPad mini stolen from locked room during our stay. Management team not only unhelpful but also suggested that we were making it up. Police report filed with the local police (police was very quick to arrive and helpful throughout the filing). I would strongly recommend not to stay here.

Rooms with moldy walls. Dirty glasses, and bathroom to be completely reviewed. The ceiling was not made of plasterboard, but had a right grid x cover the electrical cables. Old furniture. Breakfast and dinner buffet, with little choice. Only positives: very helpful and friendly staff, and proximity to the beach (about 5 minutes walk).

The property is very beautiful and surrounded by greenery, a short walk from the beautiful luz beach. Rooms and bathroom very large but uncomfortable beds. The pools are small but comfortable with nice, very relaxing hanging Latvians. To improve the cleaning of the terraces and the kitchen of dinner (repetitive and banal, often inedible). Too high the prices of drinks at the table (not included in the half board that does not cost cheap:1 bottle of ACQUA 3.20, 1 coffee on the pool 2nd).

What a beautiful place to enjoy all that southern Portugal has to offer! The calm atmosphere was very welcoming after visiting some of the more festive cities in the area. The staff was very friendly and able to help with anything we needed. The room was large, comfortable and modern with a large balcony. Paid Wi-Fi is available, as well as 3 pools, a Jacuzzi, sauna, tennis courts. The food was also delicious. Close to local beaches and restaurants as well. Excellent for a family vacation or a romantic get away. Enjoy.

We stayed here for a week. Loved it. Friendly and very helpful staff. Clean room, nice garden and pool. Great food, had an excellent stay. Beach is very close and it also great, clean with lots of things to do. Would recommend it! :)

While it is true that the 4 stars will spare you in some question, for its adult pool with Balinese beds and a good breakfast as well as the cozy environment, have made our stay very pleasant for offer price 66o night with breakfast or crazy the price that per room are usually ordered in season 260euros. The room was clean and comfortable. Maintenance of upholstery needs replacement. Very friendly and attentive staff do not speak Spanish but strive to please. I would repeat insurance for the approximate price. Luz is highly recommended to spend a few quiet days and in a good and tourist quality environment.

Good hotel apart from they don't have kettles for the rooms not even for hire, this was a real problem as we have a 6 month old who needs boiling water for her feed. Otherwise everything good and no other complaints. Very close to beach and local restaurants.

Hotel lovely, pools, rooms and outside areas great. Food not great bit repetative. Would go B&B only. Some reception staff not very helpfull.

Reception staff somewhat 'cold'! Male staff that is. Two adult pools. One very good and the other in a 'poor state of repair' floor tiles loose, in abundance and somewhat dirty. Rooms basic, but then again you get what you pay for! Some pay a little some pay a lot. Food is buffet style. After three days the same — cold food on the hot plate. Tonight was the worse. We will make a point of finding someone in management to complain to tomorrow.
In the main waiter staff are very friendly and very helpful.
Would I recommend this hotel — NO.

Great place, clean and well maintained, lovely garden setting. 5 mins walk to a beautiful beach with nice bars and restaurants. The hotel food is fine and plentiful buffet style although not always piping hot. Cosy small bar joined to the dining room. All staff very polite and keen to help. Rooms great… all have their own entrance off the pool area, 3 levels with the 2 upper levels accessed by external stone staircases. All have either balcony or terrace. A superior double has a separate sitting area and spacious bedroom with dressing table, chair and mirror. Hairdryer is fixed in the bathroom. Full sized fridge in room and a Spar 5 mins away to get supplies. 3 pools of different depths, plenty of loungers, no issue getting one anytime as reserving with towels is not permitted. Poolside snack bar, Turkisk bath and sauna also in the grounds as is a tennis academy so you can while away some time watching the practice. Hotel car parking available just outside the main hotel entrance. All in all has everything you need, very happy with it and would come again.

Great hotel, great surroundings, friendly helpful staff. Room service everyday clean towels and room tidied. Went on holiday for 10 days. Very quiet and beautifully kept grounds. Tennis courts and 3 average sized pools. Would go again.

Enjoyed Room 123. I was the last to arrive on April 16, 2018, and was luckily given this lovely tiled apartment, which had a comfy double bed with 2 closets, a desk and chair, area rugs, and a balcony with 2 chairs and a table in a tall loft area, all up a winding stone staircase by the front door. Downstairs was a full bathroom, a sitting room with a regular door and a sliding double door onto a small balcony, a sofa bed, coffee table, flatscreen TV, and 2 bar stools next to an arched pass-through kitchen with 2 burners, a microwave, small fridge/freezer, stainless steel sink, dishes, utensils, and a dish towel. There was no dishwasher or laundry machine or in-room coffee machine. The bathroom had good lighting, reliable plumbing, a bidet, and excellent water pressure in a tub/shower with plenty of hot water. I had been traveling for a while and needed a quiet place to rest. My loft bedroom was very quiet with the calming sounds of wind and waves, and I was able to sleep 15 hours a day without interruption for the first two days. The maid quietly brought towels and toilet paper and came back on the later days to clean. I did have to wash any apartment dishes that I used. The breakfast was good with lots of meats, eggs, fresh fruit, breads, and excellent coffee, juices, and hot chocolate in big mugs. The dinners were just okay, and I did have to pay for any beverages I wanted, even bottled water.

Lovely place, food repetitious and rooms need updating. Will say people are great there.

Lovely setting, good location, nice staff, very good value.

Very relaxed hotel complex just a short walk to beach, bars and restaurants. It's looking a little outdated it could do with a lick of paint for sure, but clean enough with good sized rooms and balconies. 3 small swimming pools with seasonal pool bar and a spa/wellness centre (7.50 euro p/h! ) friendly and helpful reception. Good selection of hot and cold breakfast items serves dinner also. Pleasant gardens and well maintained lawns.

4 Star Hotel assimilated to 1 star in Spain. The Wi-Fi is paid individually. The rooms must be modernized. Ac runs halfway. Breakfast buffet. Otherwise good. Close and beautiful beach.

Was OK. Internet payed extra and very slow, hot water only for 2 quick showers. No TV channels. Ice cold water in pool. Jacuzzi not in use.

Horrible experience, nursing home type of holiday, don't go there.

Greenery. Quiet. And superb hotel.

Since I booked this hotel and will not arrive until May, I can not give a rating yet. However, I have read some reviews and I have to make clear: Ingo S and Eljot77… The next time you leave Germany, you will learn to speak English! German is not a world language.

Lovely place small but unique and very friendly nice gardens clean rooms and good food.

Room so cold due to outdated heating system which went down completely on final night … T. V. Has one English Channel SKY NEWS. There is no entertainment at all in the hotel and to go to a 'bar' is a walk through a badly lit estate. Drinks prices are most expensive I have ever come across way over the top. We asked if we could pay to upgrade t. V. As the 5 the hotel have on are 4 German/Portuguese and sky news. Staff not interested in any complaints and easily the most boring hotel I have ever been to. If it wasn't for the coastline it would have been an utter waste of time. Our advice is DONT GO.

Unfortunately, the beautiful things are limited. Spacious room, very beachside, very quiet and pool area okay. Mattresses are ready, breakfast coffee from thermos flasks tastes of soluble cheap coffee. Breakfast otherwise good. Dinner every day the same. 2 meat types and usually always the same and 1x fish. And if you're there more than 5 days, it's going to be really difficult. That is already cheeky and the meat is also rather in the lower price segment. Vegetarians are not taken into consideration. The dessert is also always the same. Highly sugary creams and cream cakes. From the fruit of the breakfast there is always a fruit salad. So despite the many sun it will always be very dark at dinner.

Ok I'll begin with the positive… very pretty hotel with lovely landscaping. That's it though. Supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Shocking! Reception staff unwelcoming and unhelpful. No information on the location in your room. No 'do not disturb' sign available meaning my longer lie in was very embarrassingly interrupted. Breakfast was poor! Seriously where do those sausages come from… yuk! So glad I was just b&b. Staff not at all friendly or helpful. Only exception was the cleaners who smiled and bid you good day. Whoever manages this hotel needs to get his or her act together. Very disappointing. Manager please note your staff are not welcoming. Customer service should be at the heart of everything you do. Shape up!

Nice place to stay. 3 swimming pools. One for adults only and kids pool. Very close to the beach. Lagos town 10 min away.

We had an absolutely terrible experience when we tried to stay in this hotel. We arrived around 10pm and the lady at reception (Saturday, 19 Oct 2017) made us try multiple cards on a machine which was clearly not working. She was rather rude. Finally she refused to let us stay on the booking we had unless we venture out in Luz to find a cash machine, but due to her rude and dismissive attitude, we decided it was better to find other options, despite the late hour. We later found out the full room amount was deducted twice from one of our credit cards.

Kitchen total disaster. In no hotel in which we had such an incursion OSes and bad food. Drinks in the restaurant and at the pool bar too expensive. However, the staff was nice, friendly and always helpful.

Hotel to rest, good rooms, large and comfortable.
Food with little variety but what is there is good, especially good desserts.
Very good beach and small town.
No entertainment, no fuss.

Very bad and dirty facility. I've never had it before. As a travel agent I travel a lot. Prices at the bar very overpriced. Breakfast was very basic. Play 60 years of music. We were happy when we left after 3 nights.

Close to beach. Lots of space for everyone. Kind people work here. Food is ok.

Asked for a king bed, high floor suite, and honeymoon package. Got precisely none of these despite it requested on the invoice. Rooms are out-dated and ours smells like bleach. Also expect to pay extra for everything — taxi calls, Wi-Fi, and a 20euro (! ) deposit for extra towels.

Our first ever plane ride took me & my four year old son to this beautiful country & then on to our hotel. We loved it. The female staff were amazingly helpful to the point of being like friends. Daniella — reception & Marta — bar staff (sorry if that's wrong ladies) were brilliant. Anything we needed, anywhere you need to go they will sort it & recommend the best. Our room was cleaned & new towels daily. All 3 pools were on our room door step & the hotel is mins from the beach. I am veggie & the food was good. I cannot recommend it enough. The Paid Wifi limited to just one device per room was my only complaint but the bar & reception is free Wi-Fi. I will be back. Thank you all at the Luz bay xXx.

Was once probably better… Was sold, how to listen, and is under new management service retracted the ´ and reduces the quality. Terrible food, cruel coffee, room service only if you are lucky. Bad (only single) beds with plastic protectors. Anyway, miles away from the 4-star standard.

Spacious rooms in a pleasant hotel with good service. The plant has come a little in the years, but offers the most important amenities and is especially close to the beach and yet away from the tourist stronghold of Albufeira and Lagos town.
The hotel consists of several buildings, which have a maximum of 4 floors. In the complex are two swimming pools, a pool bar, an Internet room, next to the reception of the dining room with a terrace.
The breakfast and dinner buffets in the hotel are rich and tasty — and considerably cheaper than the eating out in place, especially as there at dinner time, all local are incredibly full.
We drive this year for the second time after Luz and forward to stay again in this hotel.

A quaint village. Perfect for a spa / relaxation vacation. The rooms are great. Very spacious and clean top. The hotel system is sensational. All green and very nicely created/maintained.
The only negative was the dinner. It partially indefinable looked and tasted just yucky. Most of the time anyway. However, breakfast was tasty without.

The hotel is well located. Maintained daily and carefully. One sometimes still happens that the standards of a 4 star not being maintained hotels. For example the chairs by the pool and the screens are second-rate. Ansonste is the nature of Algarve, what none can what, unprecedented. One will not be bored even after 10 days. The ride lasts from Faro to Luz long (approx. 2 1/2 h) That's pretty annoying after a long flight from Frankfurt. To times when a bad organization, you would have to endure about themselves, that first lot of hotels are used until you finally arrive in Luz. All in all, nice place, friendly people and great weather and sunshine.
