The location is good and the hotel is very close to the beach. The rooms to the indoor area offer a great sea view. Various parking spaces allow for a relaxed parking.
The staff at the front desk spoke very good German and was friendly.
The rooms are large enough.
The first drawback is the single beds in the rooms. As a couple, we didn't find that great.
The clientele in this House consisted mostly of older people, families or young people were met less.
The dining room looked more like a canteen. The arrangement of the food was arbitrary and took place without a concept.
The breakfast was mediocre. No fresh fruit, yogurt in plastic cups and a small selection of jam, cheese and sausage.
At dinner we missed hot vegetables. There were at least 2 meat dishes, 2 garnishes but no fresh hot vegetables. Also a dessert was not found at the buffet.
The dining room is definitely too small for all hotel guests.
Another drawback was the cleanliness in the swimming pool. The dressing sponge in front of water and it smelled very uncomfortable. The swimming pool itself is very generous, unfortunately there was no lifeguard. You also have to pay for the bathrobe.
Conclusion: Unfortunately the Ikar Plaza does not meet the requirements for an upscale 4 star hotel. If you don't like the high standard, you will find a nice hotel, otherwise you should book another hotel.
Addendum: The coronation this morning was the room lady who was unsolicited at 8 in the room while we were still in bed.
