Staff where friendly and helpful food was lovely I had the rib eye and my wife had the sirloin both a good size with a side of chips it was more than enough.

Can’t get drink outside the bar. This is discrimination of people who want to drink fast coffee in the open air. Which mean very poor service.

Although my food was lovely other members of my party received sandwiches on chiabatta bread that was rock hard and completely inedible. It took 2 complaints before we were offered a complementary coffee or dessert. We did not want either. We eventually had one of the meals given to us free of charge but this was hard fought for and reluctantly given.

It is one of the best places me and the wife have since we've been on our holiday. Friendly and cheerful service would recommend it to anyone that visits the main square in Krakow.

Beautiful surrounding, kind service. We were given very small room. The corridors are wider than the room we were in :p Nevertheless very nice place with good location for sightseeing early morning.

Despite a frame a little old and that is still in its juice.
Beware if you are street side you will be disturbed by the noise of the street and its attendance. This gives it all its charm and above all its soul. Very well located, close to many places to visit. A rather available and helpful staff. On the other hand it's a shame that breakfast is exactly the same from one day to the next, we wait better for a 5 star and it did not make us want to try the restaurant.

Loved it here. It used to be a palace and it looks like that. All the staff are only happy to help.

Poor the waiter asked if I wanted the duck breast rare I said well done guess what it same out rare meal returned. They were very apologetic meal deducted from bill. Shame as it sits nice in the square nevertheless plenty of other eateries still to try.

The hotel itself is fairly beautiful and is in a decent location of Krakow. We had a wedding appointment on the 10th of March, the coordinator was helpful both during the appointment and before the viewing. However, she said she would be in-touch shortly (at the most 1 weeks time) to provide the quote. However, by the 29th of March, we have still not received any quotation, even though we have emailed twice : (, which is a shame as I would have liked to rate it 4 star, however the service does not seem as good as I first thought. We had a wedding tasting meal, the food seemed nice and fairly decent sized portion. However, it was unusual that we never got any bread or rolls for a 3 course meal as this is generally standard, especially as being a 5 star hotel. Also, being its a 5 star hotel, I would expect some extras like maybe a few little chocolates at the end of the meal (at other 4 and 5 star hotels in Krakow we got loads of extras, like breads, chocolates at end of meal, aperitifs). The waitress was lovely and the doorman who said bye to us at the end of meal. But I am a little disappointed at the service we have received after the viewing. Update : We chased about the wedding quote again just over a week ago (just before good Friday) we were told we would get a response by the latest Wednesday 4th april, however we still never heard anything and it's 4 weeks today since we had wedding appointment so definitely not having wedding here now!

Absolutely breathtaking hotel. Would definitely return. Right in the middle of Krakow, easy to walk everywhere.

Excellent place to have a steak, the portions were large, steak cooked to perfection. Friendly and attentive staff make this to place to go in Krakow. You will not be disappointed.

Went to this restaurant a couple of times during our visit. The burgers, both beef and chicken, are fantastic. The fish and chips is out of this world make sure your hungry. Great service both very friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit.

It doesn't look like a 5-star. The dwarf towels. No toothbrush would be like a lot of a 4 star. It's cold because the room is big.

Great old European Hotel. This place has wonderful bones, and the staff tries. But it badly needs a face lift and remodel. The rooms are small and chopped up, or large and ungainly. The furniture is a mishmash, with no discernable theme, and no art on the room walls. The location, near the central square in Krakow, is excellent. But this hotel needs attention.

Historic Hotel in the heart of Krakow, the location is ideal for a visit to the city. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, the furnishings are classic, sober and elegant.

This is a beautiful hotel palace that is 420 years old. Its amazing and the staff is superb. Its in old town, no need for a car. You can walk to everything.

Worst hotel in my entire life I slept litteraly in front of a bar with so much music that it was impossible For the coffee a true breakfast : no spoon help yourself if you like sugar. The style? Not charming. Just old. No interest For the restaurant? Take a chicken, cook it and put it in a plate. I didn’t eat that. No way. It was disgusting. We was supposed to be in the big restaurant room… guess what? Closed (always) even if presented on the website. So we was in the bar… With drunk people. What a charming place! (Ironic) I did 8 hours of train to be here. I payed more than 270€ I want so much to know who gave them 5 stars because in France they would not even deserve 1. Édit : So I spoke to the reception and in fact they did everything right. This is my fault because I didn’t ask to change of room. Or them to open the restaurant for me. So after 8 hours of train and an entire day of visiting I was supposed to do their job. Fantastic hotel. Also my room was checked by the authority and it deserve 5 stars (but the impossibility to sleep is included without supplement) Edit 2: after 24h no response from the hotel. Also the morning I checked the bed because it was awful. I found a little boutlle of whisky under the mattress… Do you think they do their job correctly? This is the only photo I have so I put it here.

Pricey and what you get does not reflect the price. Was probably fancy in 1992, but does not live up to today's standards. TV signal was incredibly static.

You do not deserve the 5 stars! After the first dinner made very wretched we were forced to pick a restaurant for subsequent evenings and were a group of 23 people, not to mention the breakfast …

Nice rooms — high ceilings, big windows, comfortable bed, a real desk with Ethernet. One problem was that the air conditioning didn't work and it was 90+ (35) degrees. I asked the desk about it but it was never fixed. Also, although there were five chairs in the room there wasn't one that was comfortable for sitting in and reading, so you wind up propped up on the bed. At these prices and luxury levels I expect better. On the other hand, the breakfast is, well, amazing.

Recently stayed here on a trip. Beautiful hotel with an amazing staff. Comfortable and spacious rooms. The breakfast was the best of anywhere I have stayed in Europe and it was included.
