The staffs of Montebello are really awesome! I can't imagine the service that they could give in every guests despite of the Corona virus, spectacular! God bless y'all ❤❤❤ Everything is awesome!

MontebelloVilla Hotel has a Hispanic designed we love, with the very beautiful garden we can enjoy. Good for family gatherings, events and just a peaceful place to stay with. This hotel is a must stay. ♥️

The food was good… most especially the callos… but the roast beef was tough. Plenty of muscles.

Pool is great, foods are delicious and healthy, not crowded, ideal for gathering or team parties, events and etc. Peaceful place to unwind too.

We’re staying here for 5 nights with 2 different rooms category. We greeted by concierge with beautiful smile on their face. Staff very polite and welcoming. Place is family friendly and the most I love is the greenery of the garden. Pool size is just okay I wish it’s a lot bigger and has more benchers. Lot to improve with handling check ins /checkouts in speedy manner.
There is a little bit confusion of my online bookings cause of changing room categories but the staff handle it just fine. First night room complimentary upgrade by my surprise.
The other room with balcony’s on the other side has construction going on. They could use more portable fans in the lobby. It was super hot. Food at the restaurant get refills quickly, staffs very attentive. But I always call them to fill my coffee.
Manager Christian was very warm and pleasant.
Over all this place is just beautiful for family to stay. I would definitely comeback on my next trip.

Also noisy old aircon. Needs to be addressed properly.

I hope when your staff find something in the room I hope you guys should NOT KEEP IT. Many dishonest staff there. If you lost something, you'll never get it back. Very very very very disappointing.

This hotel is amazing. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. They made our visit so enjoyable, it was like a home away from home. The grounds are amazing and conveniently located. We will definitely be back.

My sister’s wedding was held here, and there were so many faults, mistakes and too many bad customer service to count. Disappointed.

A bucket list to visit yearly. This is my second stay wd this hotel because of the event Cebuyogafestival. My fambam really likes the place. And one thing, early this morning my kids saw some Korean guests (i think) washed their feet wd slippers in the pool. So disgusting. I reccomend that life guard must not leave their post to prevent pool dismeanor or have a wash area for the feet like the one at the big pool.

The services — they change beddings/ replenish supplies daily even without requesting for it. Staff are courteous and facilities are at par. I noticed that some even visit the hotel for its pools. No elevator but one won’t miss it. There’s a mall complex nearby for quick shoppings of guests. A guest can always have a quiet spot, unlike most hotels with blaring bands heard all over the place. The lay out is that guests / staff traffic is spread out so less noise.

Have been in different hotels around Cebu, but Montebello has always been my all time favorite. The atmosphere is amazing, the staff are always friendly, the garden and pool area is a gorgeous place to hang out. It is the one place where you get to relax, and don't notice the fact that you are in the middle of a big, hectic city!

This is in the city of Cebu itself. They have a beautiful grounds, nice pools, good rooms and really a super friendly and helpful staff. It may not be a five star resort but the service is five star and the price compared to five star resorts is super reasonable. We had a great stay and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a great room at a very reasonable price and enjoys extra friendly and helpful service.

The place is perfect but, the comfort/powder room should have some air so we would sweat that much. It's best to put some ceiling/wall fan, at least. Nevertheless, Montebello Villa Hotel remains to be a landmark for the best garden hotel in Cebu! ;D xoxoxo ♡♡♡

If you want to escape the city and don't want to travel far. This is the place to be. A family friendly villa. Amenities are function room/hall, pool, rooms, dinning, etc.

My husband, my baby and I stayed here for 3 nights. For those days, we noticed that the waiters at the dine in section were very rude. Their names were Edmon and Ronald. We had to ask them for a high chair a few times before they actually got it considering the fact that we were there for 3 days. Those guys have huge mentality that when an Asian is with a white guy, they're some kind of hookers/gold diggers, they would talk to you in their native dialects and only "thank you sir" on the way out. How Rude. Considering the fact that my husband and I have met when were 13 years old in Canada. To clear the minds of men in Cebu, not everyone marries men for green cards. Some women actually came from decent families or well off families and are professionals or have grown up abroad. A lot of women are still God fearing and would marry for LOVE, and not everyone are like those women who would go out with the oldies to be their sugar daddies! So yea. My husband got really pissed off at these waiters. Anyhoo! Everything else in this hotel was amazing, the receptionists are great, lots of choices on their breakfast buffet. The rooms are great. Except for the noises coming from the hallway.

A hotel with lots of charm, very clean, all staff very helpful and nothing out of place! It is worth staying here if you are for Cebu.

Hotel facilities are old school and a little outdated but Montebello is still a great place to stay, and the breakfast buffet is heavenly. Be sure to come for breakfast very early so that you don't have to argue with someone over who got the table first. The staff are very professional and accommodating but some guests are just rude. I was getting food from the buffet table when I left my 4-year old son and my husband's niece to wait for me at the table. They were both in pajamas since they just woke up. One guest made them stand up from the table and made them transfer to the table with linens. I also witnessed her making rude faces to my son while she was getting our chairs transferred to their table. We didn't want to cause a scene so we just kept quiet. At least the waiters we're kind to transfer us to a better table near the pool.

I love their newly renovated areas. The new function room is cozy and ideal for small groups. The Filipino food tastes good. Most importantly, the staff are courteous and helpful.

Still packing them in, this decades old villa hotel delivers the same exceptional service and impeccable dining experience to locals and visitors alike. Their buffet is one of the city's most sought after especially when it comes to Spanish cuisine that they are good at. On weekends and holidays, there are so many events going on at the same time, you will somehow get lost.

Few points to talk about: 1. Hotel service was OK. Front desk staff were very courteous. Every utility and house keeping personnel were very accommodating. They will greet you like all the time. Thumbs up for these people. 2. Life guard in charge at the pool and gym was not very pleasant. Sure, we didn’t know (and didn’t read) that slippers were not allowed in the gym. The person, in his baddest tone (it could be worse, I just thought) stopped us from using the treadmill beca…use we need to wear shoes. That’s ok, since its our responsibility to read instructions. Kudos to him still for implementing the rules, hope that it’ll be a bit more polite next time. 3. Breakfast was ok, maybe close to terrible. Buffet takes a lot of time to be refilled, some food turned cold (immediately). Buffet staff were in their usual accommodating selves. Saves a bit of the day for this experience. 4. We got the old room. And it kinda smells old. Air-conditioning was fantastic, got the big room cold in a hiccup. One thing sad about it though, no bidet (a must have for me, I love washing my bottom with it after taking a seat). Overall, the 1 night stay was ok, but a repeat experience might not happen in the next 10 years.

Good Lord I am in love with this place. Everything about my stay there was spectacular. I'll be back. Even if I live in cebu I'd visit there often.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Restaurant and pool were lovely, with excellent food served by the poolside in the restaurant. Staff were excellent, and the hotel allowed us to leave our luggage there for 6 days prior to our check-in. Extremely helpful. Given the beauty of this hotel, I found the pricing to be very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Nice place. Has a very decent pool, pool side resaturant with live music, cost rooms. The place has good food and offers place for small events as well.

We stayed there last summer for a few days. Front desk staff were not friendly, probably because we don't looked rich, LOL. They were a bunch of snobs. The room boys were nice, friendly and helpful. The cleaners were also good. There's this woman in the cafeteria, who couldn't give me my change. I think she was thinking I'm going to give her the change, as a TIP, but I needed that money for my son to buy something, because I don't have any other cash with me. I waited for the change for more than 30 minutes, but she didn't come back. The other staff in the cafeteria, a man in his 50s, he's awesome! he's really friendly and always smiling. All in all, our experience is good.

The food is amazing. I enjoyed the food. The staff and crew are all respectful. Treat you with hospitality. Would visit more soon.

Love the hospitality. The place is clean and beautiful. They have a good size swimming pool my nephew enjoyed. The restaurant food here were very good. We dont need to leave the hotel.

3rd time I've been here, never fails to amaze me with comfort and elegance, the food is scrumptious and the pool is fine, not great, not bad either. The big area with lots of features, you can spend your whole day here traveling around the hotel. And for you couples out there, try going to their bridge of love.

This place is wonderful, it was built on the big area. When you come this hotel, you are together nature, everywhere is green. I think it is relaxing. Rooms are big, capacious and clean. Meals are delicious and there are various meals. Swimming pool is big. Employees are helpful and cheerful. They organize wedding ceremonies if you want, you have good choice.

My recent event was a success amidst minor glitch (not due to the hotel). I have personally thanked my friend, former colleague in the industry Mrs. Mary Ann Lariba for taking time and accommodate my wedding amidst short notice and the fact that Montebello Villa Hotel have this record of high bookings on events and rooms. We were upgraded to their lovely Family Suite which is ideal for a wedding dress up and honeymoon. Rooms and banquet service were excellent. I would also like to commend the Housekeeping Attendant in charge of my room is the best (forgot to get his name) because when we are about to get out of the hotel for my wedding ceremony, he offered if I wanted to have my room cleaned. They knew that after a wedding dress up, the room is in chaos. And that is taking an extra mile service to your guest. It was lovely when we returned to our room already made up.

The place was very small but a great get away for the weekend if your not planning an overnight stay or an activity filled afternoon. They serve buffet lunch at a fair price. Food was good and the staff were polite. We would love to go back another time.

The rooms are decent, neat, and well-arranged. In my own opinion, the food is good, especially the pizza and buffalo wings. I recommend this place for families from abroad that are planning to visit Cebu, Philippines.

This was where our wedding preparations took place. They hav big rooms and the rooms were very clean and organized. I also love the feel of the ambience. However, We were informed that there was an additional charge for rooms used as a wedding preparations area. It would have been okay if they informed us but they didn't and we booked the rooms several months before our wedding day. We specifically indicated in the notes section that the room will be used for wedding preparations. Good thing, my husband negotiated and they were kind enough to give us a discount. Overall, I still like this hotel. I didn't have the energy to argue and I didn't want it to ruin our wedding day.

I have stayed here and most recently held my close friend's bridal shower in their Cuarto Fortunato function room. We are very satisfied with the services. From the sales rep. Who entertained my request down to the waiters who served the food. The food was also great. I guess they just need to improve on the maintenance of their pools and in providing the accommodation as my friend was advised she had the garden view room but somehow ended up in a room with no view at all other than that I am highly recommending this hotel. :)

We stayed here few times when we visited Cebu. It is a nice hotel, but somehow getting old and not maintained well. The food in restaurant is ok, so no need to go out looking for food in Gaisano Country mall if too lazy to walk. The garden in nice. I think, they should renovate the hotel.

Great place! The hotel managed to keep everything nice and ambient though it's already old. They give you cold drink as you check in (really nice since it was sunny and humid).

Montebello Villa Hotel feels like home in a busy city. The cozy and kid-friendly place is really suitable for families who are looking for recreation and relaxation for they have yoga session and other occasional activities. They also have adult and kiddie pools, games room and fitness gym. Their food is delicious — — — Western and Asian cuisines. Rooms are huge and Wi-Fi ready. They have wide gardens at the back area of the hotel. So green and clean. Friendly staff too. No regrets. Thank you, Montebello!

We spent the whole afternoon by the pool with our notes and laptops. Staff was very nice and accommodating. We also had dinner there and food was great.

Was here for a seminar. Lobbies (they have 2) are appealing. Wonderful view of the pool from the restaurant. Cool furnishings. Must try : Shrimp Popcorn.

Amazing Spanish-casa inspired interiors throughout the hotel. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Hotel has ample open parking. Rooms are very spacious with semi-kitchen (no stove), receiving area and balcony. However, furniture inside the rooms tend to be a little dated and one of my biggest issues is the food. They really need to hire a decent chef who knows how to cook.

Man! Nostalgic would be an understatement! Ambiance?! I am giving it a 10 because of the rainy weather cold breeze late in the afternoon! Noon? I don't know?!

This hotel is a kind of mock colonial Spanish. We stayed in January 2017. The room was big, clean and the bed was great. Best thing is the beautiful pool with its restaurant, bar and coffee shop. The buffet breakfast had lots of hot and cold choices. It's a lovely peaceful oasis in the city business district with a shopping mall close by. Staff were very friendly and booked us onward travel. Would happily stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel on our arrival. It's on the outskirts of town. But it's a real oasis. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. Great breakfast buffet. You can ask for an omelet. As a result, we stayed here for one more night. It's better to book online because it's much more expensive in the hotel.

Do not ever do business here… the manager is a liar and a cheat… they will offer you rooms then double book them… they are not accommodating at all, and have forgotten what the service industry is supposed to do… provide service… unfortunately, his staff is good… but they can only be do what their unprofessional cheating boss tells them… do not go here.

I stayed there 2 nights but when I asked if I could shoot a local friend in their garden setting, they wanted to charge me 100€ for that. I refused. Splendid swimming pool.

Great place to stay within the city.

Great Hotel. My favorite in Cebu City. It's a little old, but very comfortable. The grounds, gardens and pool side terrace are fantastic. It is located behind Gaisano's Country Mall, a very short walk to the mall and across the street to U. C. Cebu. They have 'Sugba' (barbecue) on weekends poolside and sometimes entertainment on Saturday nights.
