Dinner here is pretty good. You can order up to 8 plus in the evening, but stay quite late in their outside dining area. Their staff are quite polite and courteous.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in Cebu City. And I have stayed in a number of good hotels there. Amenities are superb, room is clean, staff are very friendly. Definitely a wonderful hotel for the whole family.

I always love the rooms here that are facing the city. The view on the other side isn’t as good but the service here is superb. When it comes to food, they are known for the best themed buffets in the island. Recently, I had lunch there with their Swiss buffet and it was splendid as usual. I am looking forward to more awesome food memories here.

Good place to rest and good buffet. The only bad thing about this place is the travel time to get there. It is situated on a hill with a good view of the city but if you are coming from the airport, then a one hour drive is already fast.

Pagsulod namo sa Hotel, ning diretso mi sa front desk to check in but the lady said na Ma'am naa ray representative na mo handle sa inyong check in pero wala cya mo ingon na adto mo sa atbang na table mo hulat sa in charge. Minutes past, still walay niatiman sa among pag check in, we waited and we waited, until we decided to just eat lunch first because our mom is already hungry and she is already old. After lunch, I went back sa front desk, and ask if we can check in since we reserve for Grand Executive Suite. Walay naka hibaw asa mi mo check in, until ni abot ang in charge and we were ask to go to her and so naatiman nami. 2nd complain is about sa 2nd bath tub sa room, dili mo function ang knob where you have to push in order for the water to flow through the telephone shower and not the faucet. Paet kaayo and we called maintenance and he said, major repair ang angay buhaton, and my brother said never mind, too much work. 3rd is the buffet from lunch to dinner are much the same, but they are all delicious. But unfairness, WE So.

I love this hotel. Not superfluous. Very clean and classy, including the restrooms. Haha! I judge hotels and other public places according to the cleanliness of their restrooms. If the establishment takes care of keeping the restroom clean and pleasant, I conclude that they do the same to other parts of the establishment.

Marco Polo Plaza Cebu used to be known as Cebu Plaza Hotel owned by the Fonaciers. It was the go-to place of Cebu’s high society. It was Cebu’s first 5-Star hotel and became a landmark in the Queen City of Cebu. Their rooms are huge and has been renovated periodically. Food offerings are superb. They are well known for their awesome buffet breakfast. Prices are steep but what the heck it is all worth it!

Not The first time I stay at this hotel. We always return willingly. Very friendly and helpful Staff There Are several restaurants both on the map and at the buffet. They Both took prizes for the catering. The rooms are not very recent but in any case very comfortable and are going to undergo all work to be totally modernized. Always Stay in the continental rooms because they give you the opportunity to check in and check out in the lounge without waiting. In the same lounge for most of the day you can drink and eat. Breakfast top. I Recommend this facility.

Hotel with good standards in Cebu. It is a bit up the hill and therefore a bit fare from the center. Nevertheless, the hotel facilities are good with rooftop bar, pool area and lobby bar with music. The service could be a bit better for the price you pay in the hotel.

Class hotel, especially the breakfast the kitchen.

The rooms are clean and spacious. The bed and pillows are soft, bedsheets are soft and clean… restrooms are clean and have plenty of water and soap. Amenities are complete. I will surely recommend this to my friends and relatives who want to stay in cebu… staff are very accommodating…

Marco Polo, has some of the excellent services. Place has been well maintained. Best buffet at Cafe Marco. Food is good, the dessert is not my fave section, if you want sweets try the native/local desserts instead of the cakes.

Its a very good place. Very quiet and relaxing. The down side of staying here is the locations its a bit far from the malls. But if you want peace and quiet this is a place for you.

We stayed here, for 3 Days at thwyre Suite Room. We loved it! It was so nice! The room definitely did not feel like a hotel we loved it had a study table!
Nice pool… The breakfast buffet is superb! Indeed one of the best in town specially they’re dinner buffet. The market was handy. The breakfast in the den was amazing! We love the layout. The bistro seating was awesome and theres was a lot to choose from to eat and share late after like 7.
The front desk (night and day) was so friendly and helpful!

Old world charm with spectacular little details that make your stay awesome! The food here is one of the better ones. Stayed in their club room and was totally impressed by the service, view and small touches that spelled CLASS. Will definitely come back for more!

Good place to stay and relax, most of the staff are nice. Facilities are good, place are in good location that I really like. Good food, good service, truely a good place to chill and relax for a short holidays. Nice swimming pool, bar, reastaurant, gym I haven’t try the other facilities but overall it was a good place to stay.
Clean and wide space rooms.

This hotel offers one of the most affordable hotel rooms to most people in the country, from budget rooms to high-end ones. Our room was a Grand Deluxe, it was big and spacious. There was a bath tub in it, in which my nephew was very fond about. The view is spectacular. Now for the outdoors, Marco Polo has an outdoor pool, it was clean and literally crystal clear. Anyways, everything in this hotel is almost perfect, there were also a few things that kinda disappointed me. It was there cheap and old-looking hairdryers. That was my only concern about this hotel. Anyways, that's all!

A little too far from restaurants, shopping. Although they have free shuttle service to SM, Ayala mall, etc, the traffic in the city is crazzzyyyy! Nonetheless, great service in this hotel, they have a nice pool and a band every night for a very relaxing night cap. Their buffet is something I highly recommend. Our reservation came with daily buffet breakfast and they have the food selectiln on point. A little bit of everything you will crave for in the morning. They even served us a plateful of fresh ripe mangoes. Yum!

The new staff manager Allan at the front desk does not know how to emphatize with guests. Its as if you raise a concern and when you talked to other employee, they wont care to find out how they can help. Rather, you fix your own resolution with that other employee. They also seem so busy and tired that no one smiles anymore. Voltaire was an exception though. Lastly, on the continental club, they dont greet you at the checkin or recognize unlike IHG. Its suprising that the waiters are more accomodating than their managers. So good job there! Change the leaders so you dont contaminate the rest.

Dated decor and confusing/difficult check-in at front desk. Ground floor dining is dirty and noisy. Remote location offers little choice in dining options or activities within walking distance. Nice pool with overlooking restaurant but staff are slow and not courteous. Definitely not 5*.

Great location overlooking Cebu. Well organised and Filipino staff who understand hospitality. Was there for Ka Chaine de Rotisseurs dinner — one of the most creative and special dinners I think I have ever been to anywhere in the world. Buffers for breakfast and lunch very good and nothing is a problem for staff. They solve all challenges to make your stay great. A special place.

Marco Polo will always in the heart of every Cebuano. So many good memories here. Unfortunately, there are now better hotels in the city. Regardless, it is still a landmark. I hope they keep up their outstanding service.

We had a banquet in Marco Polo just this month, and the hotel staff are friendly and professional. However, one thing that I didn't like though was some of the food, served during the gathering. But their desserts and salad bar are amazing!

This hotel is great and budget-friendly. I gave it three stars. The rooms were not very soundproof as you can hear people out in the hall and above you and on each side of you in your room. Hotel laundry was great did an excellent job with all the clothes. Staff was very very nice. Though for a little more money you could stay at the Radisson.

Marco Polo is one of the more luxurious hotels in the Cebu City area. It replaced the widely known Cebu Plaza Hotel. The hotel is situated along the hills that overlook the city that either gives you the view of the slums of the city or the lights along the numerous buildings that tower over Cebu. Since we were there for a wedding, we had booked a number of rooms, including one of their junior suites and a couple of their more standard rooms. The standard rooms had 2 double-sized beds while the Junior suite had a larger Queen-sized bed and more furniture to accommodate the larger space and bigger bar area. Their rooms usually come with 2-complimentary breakfast buffet tickets for every night you're staying, and it is well worth it. They also offer their own lunch and dinner buffets which are well above the affordable range, but if you are willing to splurge, it is a good option. We had ordered room service for one of the standard rooms, and while it did arrive, the order came up different that was lead to be believed from the menu. It also took awhile, which may also be because of the ongoing busy breakfast buffet downstairs. The hotel also has an indoor gym, pool, and other amenities like their spa and salon that you can avail for a hotel-price. Marco Polo is an expensive experience, but service from the concierge and front desk is top-notch (shout out to Danfel who was very helpful when we arrived and continued to be during the duration of our stay.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. Very comfortable room and great view into the mountains. Breakfast buffet is superb. I would recommend this hotel for any type of stay and will certainly come again.

We like the Christmas Eve mass, food was really good. A lot of food you can choose to eat. The swimming pool is just right for the kids, not so deep. Clean beds and the staff were friendly. We sometimes can't eat the buffet because a lot of people were in a queue. But it's okay, you can have an option for room service anyway. We had a great time there.

Slow service. Good lobby ambiance. Big rooms. However, towels need replacements its not white anymore, I stayed for 2 nights and all towel replacements were dark in color already. It looks dirty. Also no exhaust fans inside the bathroom. All moisture from taking bath goes out to the room.

Needs to improve rooms. Looks old and dusty. Customer service is great from the front desk and housekeeping. One lady attendant of Cafe Marco needs to improve her customer service.

Absplut Best Hotel in Cebu. The Radisson doesn't get there either. Breakfast is a dream. Everything perfectly maintained and top in shot … Super beautiful pool where you can always find a place. Price/Performance for European conditions very cheap. Booking best directly through the hotel website with package "Stay for Hope" for about 80, — euros the double room including. The super breakfast for 2 people.

Good standard hotel, though some of the decor is a little dated. Service is very good, and three did and drink upstairs in the Blu Bar is excellent. Large pool was mostly empty web I was there.

The Café Marco Breakfast Buffet is one of the best if not THE best breakfast buffets in town! So many stations in the buffet, food & drinks are tasty plus constantly updated, subdued lighting for a very relaxing, lazy-day breakfast vibe, overlooking the poolside on one side and nicely landscaped garden on the other. Paying for a stay to enjoy the breakfast is worth every penny.

I enjoyed the staff service here in Marco Polo. I didn't have to wait and they are quick during the check-in. The food on their buffet were yummy compared to Waterfront Hotel! I loved the view! They have hot water which is a plus, tub-even though it wasn't as big for my liking, CLEAN, and I loved the bathroom (I mean it's a must especially the toilet seats lol). However, Marco Polo doesn't have that much options in terms of restaurants in the area, the location is a but far and it's not nearby to any walking distance like mall or stores.

Formerly the Cebu Plaza, this hotel is an old building but with a beautiful view of the city. Five star service, five star price (lol). They used to have the best buffet. Can't say it is still so. They do have some really wicked cookies though. A must try in cebu.

It is definitely beautiful hotel away from the bustling city proper where you can enjoy a quiet evening overlooking the city. Enjoyed their pizza in the evening while being serenaded by an acoustic singer playing love songs.

Very disappointing. It has been more than a week and they have not given a concrete answer on their investigation. What seem to be a happy reunions with my mother's relatives in Cebu turns to be unpleasant memories. We lost a Beats Pill inside the hotel. It was a gift from my daughter to her sister. Somebody went inside our room at the time when we are in the hotel lobby having dinner. According to the duty manager, it is a protocol for the housekeeping to enter the room without a permission when they will deliver anything like tokens or gifts. Thats is not the problem, we welcome the housekeeping to clean the room but when we are aware. In the morning when we leave to visit our relatives we left them cleaning our room but our things are kept inside our luggage secured. But entering the room while we are downstair having dinner just to deliver a small basket containing candies is another thing. Why not the one who clean our rooms that leave the candies and not during the time when the hotel guests were having dinner and not inside the room that they will deliver such a thing. Probably this will be their excuse in entering the room and get the hotel guest valuables unnoticed. We suspect that the one who deliver the small basket containing easter eggs candies is the culprit because he have access on every room. We only notice that it was missing the following day when we were about to use it.

Typical big chain hotel. You just enter the conveyor belt on one end and exit the other. Not very personal service. These things exist to offer you sense of glamour and prestige, and extract maximum peso from your wallet. Room was freshly renovated and classy though. Pool clean and only 4ft deep so safe for the little people.

"Clean hotel", "Friendly staff", "Quiet Hill top location" My experience at the Marco Polo Plaza in Cebu was definitely awesome. I would stay there any time while in Cebu again. The bed was very comfortable and big. Everything was very clean. I mean it's a hell of a hotel! You've gotta check this hotel out and feel the experience yourself.

You should try their dinner buffets. One of the best mixes of cuisine, from filipino to japanese cuisine, and lovely deserts. The fondue area is my favorite.
