Buko Beach Resort

This is the best place in El Nido to eat! 🥰❤️ We really enjoyed the food there and the staff is amazing. Thanks to Krystel for her great service and her profesionnalism. I noticed that there is a good team spirit too. We have a very nice view of the beach from it. It's hidden and not crowded like in town.
We totally recommand to go. 👍🏻✨️

We stayed at Buko Beach for 10 nights … absolutely wonderful boutique resort. We will write a longer review elsewhere, but wanted here to comment on the restaurant. Breakfasts that come with the rooms are amazing. Nonetheless, we hesitated to eat dinner at the resort, perhaps thinking food in El Nido town might be more varied and better. On our last night at the resort, we ate here. It was better than any of the 9 recommemded restaurants we tried in El Nido. Great food with timely and wonderful service. The tuna ceviche and Mayon special chicken were partcularly outstanding.

We have just returned from a holiday in Philippines and stayed at Buko Beach over Christmas for 5 nights! It honestly exceeded our expectations! The view, staff, rooms, location, pool, everything was so thoughtfully curated for a quiet, a relaxing stay! Could not recommend enough and we have been raving about Buko since we got home. Thank you again to all of the staff for making our honeymoon and Christmas so special!

Our best hotel in El Nido!
A charming boutique hotel with beautifully designed bungalow-style rooms, a lovely swimming pool, and a perfectly maintained garden.
The staff is incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help. Truly lovely people.
The restaurant is excellent, offering high-quality international and Filipino cuisine.
Just a little negative point regarding the laundry, it is outsourced and one of my white t-shirt came back with a big stain.
Overall, a great value for money compared to other hotels of the same standard in El Nido. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful resort with a very accommodating staff. My family and I spent a few days of our vacation here. The rooms were very clean (and comfortable beds), the food was delicious, and when my uncle needed some medical attention the front desk was able to provide a recommendation that saw him quickly (on a Sunday). The staff was always very kind and friendly even though as a big group we were very needy. I will come back to Buko Resort my next trip to El Nido!

Buko Beach Resort was such an amazing place. It was gorgeous and the staff was so helpful. I really enjoyed our comfortable 3 bedroom place. We were able to order massages directly in the room at a very reasonable cost. When I say the staff was beyond friendly, I don't even know exactly where to start. Our trip took a turn when our flight from El Nido airport to Cebu was canceled. It would be a week until the next flight was available! We texted the resort and they immediately were able to hook us up with a private van and driver to drive us to the airport 5 hours south so we could get another flight out of that island on that day. It turned a bad day and made it an amazing adventure! I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff at Buko Beach Resort. We really enjoyed the bar next door called Panorama. And the best food (maybe on our entire trip) was a place that was a short walk down the beach — it was Italian food and the name was Bella Vita.
Stay at Buko! It will be amazing!

This is a gem of a resort, made even more so by the super helpful staff. There was nothing they couldn't do for us during our our stay, which was fortunately (! ) prolonged by our inability to leave the island for Manila because of Typhoon Uwan. Typhoon Tino had cleared through El Nido only a day before we arrived! However the resort had worked so hard to keep things running and looking as normal it was hard to believe how recently it had happened!
Ace cocktail maker Rollen Jay kept us well supplied with amazing cocktails (2 for P440 or AU$11.50 in during happy hour! ). And, did I mention the staff — they made our stay a real treat.
Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved our stay at Buko Beach Resort! The setting is stunning, peaceful beach, amazing sunsets, and beautiful villas. The staff are wonderful, friendly, and genuinely. Great food, great cocktails (especially happy hour 2for1, and a truly relaxing vibe. Can’t wait to come back!

The room cleaning is good but not perfect. The windows and the door don’t shut completely so you will always find some insects in your room, they provide repellent tho. They view is amazing and overall we enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much.

We had such an incredible stay I don’t know where to begin — and if I could give more than 5 stars, this would easily be a 10!
Let’s start with entering the resort. I was greeted with my name on the chalkboard out front: “Welcome Helena and family” — a sweet personal touch. Then there was the Garden Villa, a stunning 3 bedroom/2 bath with a loft upstairs. Gorgeous architecture using native materials, and they thought about everything (shaving kits, vanity kits, robes, slippers etc). The attention to detail was definitely appreciated. We felt that the Wi-Fi was strong throughout the resort, they had multiple networks. We also didn’t have any problems with the hot water in the shower.
And then, there was the STAFF! Everyone was incredibly welcoming, and they surprised us with decorations in our villa for the occasion we were celebrating, complete with balloons, banners, a handwritten card, and wine. They helped us set up our in-villa massages, which were incredible. They even offered to bring us breakfast at 4:30am the day we left for the airport. They really, really deserve all the praise!
But wait there’s more… the kitchen/bar/restaurant serves great drinks, and really yummy food. The breakfast included in your stay includes a LOT of options (rare for smaller resorts) and they open pretty late. Also, their lattes and cappuccinos are incredible (I’m a bit of a coffee snob and I can attest to the quality of their lattes! )
And finally, let’s talk about the view.

Choose Buko if you want a 10+ experience of quality and relax.
All the girls and boys of the stuff is very polite and will take care of all your requests in the most efficient way, always with a smile on their face!
The bungalows are like a dream coming true, mixing all the comfort with very detailed finiture and local material. The atmosphere is so romantic, perfect for a couple.
You will have your breakfast with one of the most amazing view you’ll see in your life, and all the food is very very good (I’m Italian, I can speak about good food! ).
The ladies at the reception suggest and helped us to organize all of our tours and movements, and they were so so precious to us!
Choose Buko if you want peace, relax, nature, kindness and immortal memories.

Family stayed in three rooms and all were wonderful. Some rooms (Garden Villas) have mosquito nets to sleep under and ours (Studio Loft) had electronic mosquito repellent. They also provided mosquito repellent lotion. The Garden Villas had private detached bathrooms that were nice. Studio Loft were regular bathrooms. The Studio Loft had an amazing open loft that could sit our family of 7, fully equipped “outdoor kitchen” with a sink, burners and fridge and plenty of lounge space. The beach was steps away, didn’t swim in it, but views were gorgeous. The daily breakfast was delicious! I didn’t swim in the pool, can’t review that. The staff was attentive, friendly and made our stay very pleasant. Highly recommend staying here!

Our family of 6 stayed in the Garden Villa. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The food was delicious. Our rooms were very comfortable.
We enjoyed an island hopping tour that included lagoon kayaking (bring cash for kayak fees as you will pay at the lagoon) and snorkeling.
The pool and beach are just steps from the villa.
The restaurant has a perfect view of the ocean, but you can take your meals in your villa if you prefer.
If you are a light sleeper, ear plugs are provided. Mosquito treatments are also provided and we had no problems with mosquitoes.
If you have a rainy day, you can choose an in-room massage.
We enjoyed our stay and would return again. We highly recommend Buko Beach!

What a wonderful place with wonderful, happy, and helpful staff! The room was beautiful and the towels were done so artfully — we were in two different rooms and they made a birthday cake of towels in one, and beautiful towel swans in the other! So creative and cute. Atmosphere was fantastic. Right on the beach, with beautiful vistas. Food was excellent and a very wide variety — plus a willingness to customize orders. Plates were full of food… had to take leftovers usually, which they would gladly re-heat for you on request. Often ate outside our room, which was nice. And the Front Desk was soooo helpful — setting up tours or transportation or making solid recommendations for activities based on your desires. My wife and I LOVED our stay here!

The combination of the beautiful location, lovely rooms, and fantastic staff made Buko Beach Resort one of my favorite and most memorable vacation spots. Also the food… best of all the places we visited in El Nido. Lots of variety on the menu and many options for my gluten-free vegetarian wife.

It's very difficult to not rate this place 5 stars but they lose one for a pretty important reason. The Wi-Fi in bungalow 1 was horrific, ranging between unusable and very slow. Given there's no TVs in the rooms, it's a pretty important thing to have these days. The speeds were better at the bar, indicating they just don't have a router close enough.
That said, everything else was simply amazing. Small, intimate place with incredible sunsets at the bar. Service was 10/10, very attentive without being too in your face. Food was varied. The included breakfast was amazing!
To be super critical, or more of an FYI. The rooms are a bungalo style and not very sound proofed. The night life, including pretty loud frogs and nearby clubs, is very audible, and the curtains don't block out heaps of light in the morning.

My family and I loved every minute of our stay at Buko Beach Resort and it is one of the best resorts we have been to in El Nido, hands down. Location is perfect for us since it is far enough from the bustle of El Nido town, but not too far away that a trike ride will leave you bored.
The pool villa was as advertised on the website and in photos here on Tripadvisor. Seeing it in person, though, makes you appreciate the entirety of the place — a beautifully furnished villa with expansive common areas filled with thoughtful touches like insect repellent and filtered water in the bedrooms. Good job to the housekeeping staff for providing us with enough rolls of toilet paper that we never ran out of it throughout our stay.
Of course, the food is excellent. A bit on the pricier side but portions are good-sized and the ingredients are fresh (their ceviche is a must-try). Everyone on the restaurant staff, especially Rose, Rollan and Krystel, were very kind and accommodated our requests. Our stay became even more memorable because of them.
All in all, no regrets in choosing Buko over the other resorts in El Nido. I am so glad we ended up here and I can't wait to go back again.
