All staff are kind and respectful at all times. Nothing to worry about your baggage because they are all trustworthy.

Elegantly situated in the middle of Makati business area. Near malls and supermarkets. The bar is simply great at the rooftop with it's pool on the side. Amazing place to stay.

Great staff specially in spice buffet, also our housekeeper is very approachable, breathtaking view in pool area. They also offer bed topper and different kind of pillow but upon request of extra pillow they said there is no available because other guests already requested it. Over all I'd still recommend this hotel.

I currently stay at City Garden (non-Grand) across the street and happened to try the breakfast buffet here at City Garden Grand Hotel. I was blown away by the excellent customer service! My waiter Lester Parlan was very helpful and went the extra mile to make sure I had the most pleasant experience possible. He was very attentive and welcoming and made sure all of my needs were taken care of. He brought the food to my table and even poured/stirred condiments on my coffee for me. I will definitely be back and book my next stay to enjoy the phenomenal hospitality of this hotel.

Cool people great rooms that were clean. They have memory foam toppers and pillows for free by request. Spa was great. Rooftop has a pool small but great view plus food and liquor all day. Only knock I had was breakfast which I felt was lack luster and the whole mix drink concept of ice liquor and liquor does not always work out. Great place to stay have stayed in the past and will in the future.

It's the best place to stay in Manila and you feel like home. All the staff is freandly, rooms are so clean and confortable. Kalvin, who has managed our booking is excellent and did all in his hand to make feel like home.

Nice hotel and nice view. We love our staying and we love the foods… me and my bf plan to come back and try to chck in to city garden grand. We stay last may 9 to 15 but we stay at main building. We for sure come back this coming december or early of 2019 and we like to try to stay to the new building so we expect the good service same as well to the main one.

4 star prices for cramped room no window. Not impressed.

Room was compact but it had everything you needed! Everything was in order, and the space was really used well. Breakfast was good, and the experience overall was a great one! The gym/pool were great, and the staff were friendly. One small concern is that the hallway of our floor smelt like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room, but the room itself was fine!

Great services and environment. Nearby also got lots of shops especially restaurant like fast food and other cuisine as Chinese or India and others. But one of the downside is elevator display only got 2 but they got 3 elevators.

My stay was great! staycation is real, your rooms were opulent looking, view is stunning, amenities in top conditions and food were quite okay too. Location is accessible to all your needs. For the upgrade a big thank you to Mr Paolo Paras as room preferences creates positive impressions to your guests a plus points for that. And lastly to Ms. Kharmina for attending my needs and making sure I’m okay all the time. And to all staff they were professional, perceptive and personable. Your hotel is now my second home, looking forward for the next visit.

Good hotel at an excellent location in Makati. Staff is one of the most friendly I have come across. Rooms are pretty clean and very spacious. The photo's are accurate. In the general the hotel feels pretty new. However for example the wooden door to the bathroom, which slides horribly, might make it feel a bit dated. Got a free upgrade to a larger room so I could stay in the one I was when I booked for another night. Minor minus point is that there are only 3 elevators in a 32 floor hotel which means you sometimes have to wait a few minutes. Rooftop pool and bar give an amazing view over the city. All in all I can definitely recommend it and I would come back again.

We had a lovely stay! The staff were very friendly the whole time. The room we had was so spacious and clean. The bed and linen were nice and soft. They have swimming pool, gym, sauna and a must try is their massage at their own spa! The food and drinks Encima were excellent too! Definitely coming back! I loved it!

Cleanliness, service, attentive staff.

Very basic. The service is so slow. Two elevators servicing aprox. 20 floors which makes it more frustrating waiting to use the lifts. The elevators are used by staff too. I had to share the elevators with the hotel staff and their service trolleys on many occasions. The buffet breakfast is basic. The rooms are clean but noisy. You can hear the staff talking aloud in the hallway, and trolleys banging against the walls.

Central to some good bars and clubs. Hotel itself outdated with less than average bfast. Noisy area so be warned if you like some peace and quiet at night.

Nice and central. Big rooms, good room service. The only thing I would change, is the number of elevators in the hotel. There are three, so it takes quite long sometimes to wait for one. Other than that, friendly service, a clean environment in the middle of Manilla's Dirtiest District. I washed my hands a lot, but the hotel provided free hand soap, shampoo, slippers and enough cotton buds. The shower is quite spacious. Didn't try the breakfast and did not use the pool. What a shame, maybe next time.

Newly renovated room, nice soft bed, and quiet place to sleep. Price is reasonable for Makati. Small lobby, but staffed by good employees.

The location is good but the service is not so good. I rang for assistance to bring my luggage down for checkout and waited for more than 30 mins. Then I got a call asking me if I wanted to extend my stay. Obviously not as I was waiting for someone to help me bring my luggage down. Finally someone came & brought my luggage down.
Roofdeck food and drinks are over priced and takes too long. No one comes to ask for your order until you call them over. They keep cleaning our table & makes you feel like order more or leave now.
I also booked for 2 rooms & requested to be close or at the same level but we were given one floor apart.

Room and bathroom clean, staff very friendly and helpful also the reception! The bedding is clean (in all cases, bath towels, and surface area for the beds — too tired to check everything). Located as it says in the description, right in the heart of Makati; attention to horns! But it has its charm too. We stay there not even one night, so will not have the opportunity to test the small-dej.

When I first arrived in Manila I struggled with the decision to stay in either Makati or closer to the Resorts World casino area in Pasay. At that time I had ultimately picked to stay at Belmont and decided to give City Garden Grand a go on my return back from the provinces. It was a decision well made, as both hotels consistently met and exceeded expectations. City Garden Grand Hotel had the edge in some areas that were important such as roominess of room and size of rooftop pool & bar area. Also a favorite pastime of mine is to take in a beautiful sunset with my favorite scotch or cognac and cigar pairing, and I was able to enjoy that moment at this hotel along with a dip in the pool with a friend. When I first arrived there was a system outage that affected reservations, but my front desk agent was about to clear up any issues with a few calls and in a few minutes I was on my way to the room after a cold glass of water with lemon slices. Our room had an amazing view of the city, the beds were amazing, not a sound heard from any of the adjacent rooms, and the rainfall shower was heavenly. I was also very much a fan of the fine shag carpet rugs in front of each bed. The best part of the hotel was the rooftop bar, in my opinion. We stayed there for some hours comfortably, enjoying the temperate climate and view.

Stayed here with friends, great service at all times. Lovely outdoor pool on the rooftop, very relaxing. Rooms were great with ensuite and a powerful, hot shower.

Very nicely done, the rooftop pool is great and the restaurant is pointed. My room on the 30 floor really large with separate living room. Bed excellent and everything available. On the 9 floor it has a really good fitness area quite good. The service is excellent the location perfect. Breakfast absolute hammer choosing gigantic and also very good. I can recommend it to anyone 100%. Will be booking again here for sure.

The City Garden Hotel surprised me positively. I got a corner room with nice views of Makati Avenue. Everything was clean and the beds very pleasant. The rooftop bar on the roof of the hotel is one of the best bars with views in Manila! The rooftop bar is also available free of charge for non-hotel guests. The breakfast buffet was big and nice, unfortunately the service was not very professional and on 2 of 3 days of my stay there were no glasses available for fruit juice. The Rotluchtviertel is close, but not annoying. I would go back to the City Garden Grand Hotel.

Lovely hotel located in Makati area. It's reasonably priced for what you're getting. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are nicely appointed. There's a swimming pool on the roof and we got great views of Manila from our room. The hotel also has a great Tex Mex restaurant on the roof next to the pool. It's a fantastic place to have a margarita while enjoying the city lights. Overall a great experience.

Stay here just about every time we are in Manila… Situated in the heart of Makati and located close to the Greenbelt district. Great hotel and the staff do all they can to make your stay comfortable.

One of the nicest hotels I've ever been to. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms are very clean and very beautiful on the inside. The rooftop pool and bar are amazing. The food and cocktails were some of the best I had on my trip. Also the views from the rooftop are amazing. I also went for a massage which was good but very expensive compared to others.

I stay here often. Great service. Rooftop bar is awesome. Nice spacious rooms. Only complaint is the beds and pillows are not comfortable like other hotels of this calibre. The hotel needs to invest more on this end to keep long term repeat clients.

The hotel is in a very good condition. The rooms are clean and spacious… The only downside to the rooms is that you can't open a window and it always has a slight musty smell. This did not bother us so much because we were only 3 nights, but on a longer term could be annoying. The bathroom is very nice and clean.
On the roof there is a bar with a restaurant and a swimming pool. The bar is good but has logically touripreise, but the waitresses are very friendly. The pool is not very large but with the view over the city is very pleasant. Small but negligible drawback is that you don't have Wi-Fi everywhere at the pool.

This is one of my favorite hotel in makati The place is very classy and clean. Very convenient to the restaurant, fast food, pharmacy, supermarket and staff is nice they always smile at you very approachable. I will stayed here again.

Went here at the rooftop restaurant as we were invited by an account officer for dinner. Service took so long and we thought that all they're serving us was salad and pasta and a concentrated iced tea that was hyper sweet. The food was so so and no designated place for the ones that are smoking.

It eats very well, large rooms, central location and the pool terrace is perfect.

When I go to Makati I always stop there, nice as hotel, great location right behind Burgos Street and if booked in advance via Internet you can find interesting offers. Internet works well, better than other hotels. Only problem the services (pool and fitness club etc. ) are not renewed for a long time, they have their years and they begin to see each other.

Never again! Worst hotel management I have encountered. You can't check in on time because their cleaning service is so slow that check in time will become past 2pm or 3pm. Happened two times and with fellow customers waiting at their very small lobby. The lobby area was like a refugee camp because a lot of them can't check in. We booked the room via website that has a bathtub but they gave us just a simple corner room because there is no room with bathtub that is currently available. What's the sense of reservations if that's not gonna happen right?

The online photos are quite accurate. The hotel is (as of the beginning of 2018) only four years old. It has upscale finishes and features. The biggest facility drawback is poor elevator design. This is a 300+ room hotel in a 32-floor building, and there are only three smallish elevators that are not divided into low and high floors. With only rare exceptions, elevators required very long waits, and it was not uncommon to be squeezed in like sardines. It was also not uncommon to have to skip an elevator for which we had been waiting several minutes because it was already full. The long waits tended to motivate people to squeeze in, even when not comfortable or necessarily socially appropriate. (If I have to inhale when you exhale, we're probably too close. ) The breakfast buffet was impressive and featured a huge variety. We made the mistake, however, of eating dinner at the same 7th floor restaurant one evening. Service was slow, food was excruciatingly slow, they informed us long after ordering they were out of multiple items we had ordered, and the food itself was generally lackluster. It was an overall awful experience. Fortunately there are numerous nice restaurants within two or three blocks. Guest rooms are very nice. Our kids' two double bed room had only a tub/shower combination. Our standard king room had a separate shower with multiple shower heads.

Really 41/2 stars. Service outstanding. Rooms have high standard. Expansive views from hotel room. Comprehensive breakfast with table service beyond compare. The dining area manager, Jonathan, is a hands-on person. Something I admire and is often hard to find in the customer service industry.

Very accessible hotel. Located along Makati ave, near bars, restos and malls in the area. Love the rooms, service, buffet breakfast and the gym. My only problem with this hotel is the parking, their parking lot is located about a block away. Price is fair enough. Overall, its excellent!

When you add the rooftop pool into the equation you can understand why this is my new hotel of choice when visiting the Philippines. As a guest you are not safe. You can be threaten to loose your life, but the Management is not really helping and protecting you against criminal suspects. Staff is friendly and helpful. The fish is starting to stink at the head. No go area!

Roof Top bar restaurant is excellent value and really good food. The best chicken n chips by far. Fresh and moist. Staff are very friendly and helpful. My favourite place, as well as an amazing view over Makati.

The hotel was decent and the staff was really friendly. The location does get crowded and sometimes traffic becomes unbearable. They only gave us 1 room key and our request for an extra one was denied which made it quite inconvenient.

City Garden Hotel Makati is located within the busy business district of Makati City. They have generally wide roomsand good amenities. I loved that they have a rooftop Resto, pool and gym here. Their breakfast is good also. I loved the variety of menu they are serving here. Aside from that, they have the consistently most friendly, accommodating and efficient staff and crew.

I left my passport ID in the guard as they require to if you are guesting as supplier in their hotel clients. When I'm done with my service and got back to claim it, they cannot find it! They said that someone claimed my passport for me and signed on my behalf! City Garden Grand Hotel, please be mindful of your securities! You cannot give a valuable ID to someone other than the owner! Just to find out later that a team mate claim this for me without my authorization.

Room was gorgeous but lobby is small and usually crowded. Bathroom door is a big sliding wooden door that can be difficult to close due to its weight and size. Elevators can be slow as there's only 2 and service to the room needs improvement. Hotel needs to provide adequate first aid on each floor and assistance promptly. Hotel is also located on a very busy street and is near red light district. Even high up you can still hear street noise. Pros are that rooms were clean, hotel is a walk away from Century Mall. Security guard and concierge were also very helpful in assisting with transportation and luggage. Managers were also very professional with receiving feedback and constructive criticism. While hotel is not ideal for families and needs improvement on safety and speed of service, probably better for couples, solo travelers and businesspeople.

I always stay at the high floor away from the lift. It got a beautiful view and best hilot massage. Remember to bring your own toothbrush although they provide but it kinda of 1 time usage.

In the middle of Makati action. Super friendly service everywhere. Roof top bar and pool. Excellent restaurant. Cheap price for everything you get! $85 usd per night on our visit wow! In a major city in the US this hotel stay would easily be over $300 a night.

I have stayed in other hotels in the metro and I must say that City Garden Grand Hotel is the best. It's prime location is very accessible, checking in was prompt plus the front office staff were pleasant. The aircon was evenly cool, beds and pillows were comfortable. It amazed me that the room smelled so fresh and clean. The Wi-Fi connection was good in the entire building and there were no down time. The size of the room was spacious and organized. Plus! The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of dishes Special thanks to the manager on duty — Sir John Paul, you are such an angel. Thank you for accommodating my requests all throughout our stay. The place is good, clean, and cozy. The staff is really accomodating and the food here is amazing. The hotel exceeds my expectations. The gym and the pool is always kept clean. The amenities in this hotel is excellent. I would really want to stay here again.

This is a great hotel when staying in Makati, close to everything. Surrounded by lots of good places for eats and drinks within a few minutes walk, and lots of malls within walking distance. Staff extremely helpful and friendly throughout the hotel. You have to check out the roof top pool and bar, a little haven from the city below.

We just had a sumptous and hearty breakfast here today. The service was superb especially the staff headed by their supervisor named Mark. They arranged a long table to fit a group of 18, made sure that we are well attended with our needs and accomodate us with some of our special request. They serve a wide range of American and Asian breakfast meals which are fresh and tasty. You'll never go wrong with their crispy and flavorful ham and bacon pile. Pastry and bread selection area is well thought and freshly baked. It was worth every penny. Special thanks to Mark and the gang for pulling off an impromptu mini birthday treat to one of our celebrators. You guys are the best! Keep up the good work.

The staff is super friendly and helpful. I accidentally made an online reservation (paid for it and everything through the website) for the City Garden Suites in Ermita, and when I arrived in Makati and realized my mistake they went out of their way to transfer my booking and payment to the City Garden Hotel. I'm very grateful that they let me transfer it. The hotel itself is also spotless and the executive room in which I'm staying is well-furnished and comfortable with working aircon, a tidy bathroom, complimentary water and toothbrush/toothpaste. All-in-all this is a great place to stay, I would recommend it to anyone.

Nothing to complain about. Good breakfast included. The room was spacious, clean and well maintained. The view from the rooftop bar is one of the best in Manila. Staff are friendly and attentive. One even called my Uber while I was waiting for it (I had a data only SIM) to see why he was delayed. Top notch 4* hotel.

I'm not sure why this place gets such high reviews. Definitely not deserving of them in my opinion. Had a two night stay here and while I did not hate it, the experience was awful to say the least. Room was quite small even by Philippine standards and had a very musty/stale odor. Lighting in the room was also poor. Even with all lights on, it was still rather dark. Door was very thin or hollow allowing for a lot of the hallway noises to enter the room. My particular room was down the hall and around the corner from the elevator, yet I still heard the incessant 'dinging' from the elevator when it would stop on my floor. In addition, on both mornings of my stay, workers from the hotel started doing some maintenance or cleaning in the hall and stairwell around 5:40am. Talking loudly and banging their equipment. Totally disregarding the guests who might actually wish to be sleeping at that hour. The internet Wi-Fi, while appreciated, was excruciatingly slow. Typically taking 3 to 5 minutes to just to load the Google homepage. Nearly useless for doing any sort of legitimate work. The only relatively redeeming quality was the breakfast buffet. Food selection was large and tasty, and had a variety of options to cater to most people in my opinion. However, the breakfast alone is not enough to make up for the many shortcomings of this hotel. I would never consider to stay here again and would definitely not recommend it to anyone else.
