Asog County Hotel

Pillow bed had a small live cockroach.
Bathroom was a bit dingy. Looks clean though. Complimentary breakfast was like a kiddie meal. A plated corned beef with potatoes and scrambled egg with rice. Good presentation though.
It’s one of those, you get what you paid for.
Location: There is absolutely nothing to do around the property. Right beside a highway. Its a place you’re happy to see if you had car problem and need to stay for the night.
Shall I recommend and/or comeback? Heck no. Unless my car breaks down in front of ‘em.

I would the recommend them to maintain the rooms more and lower the prices according to the condition … too much expensive … I stayed there for a week and it was not up to the standards.

Not reasonable rates. Single room is 1, 800 but no Wi-Fi, they don’t provide water bottle, room is dusty with a lot of webs, there are poops of lizards everywhere, and the ceiling is infested by termites. Parking is not safe and “rocky”. Also, the front desk/reception lady wasn’t friendly, she frowns all the time! 😄 In the other budget hotel, 1, 500 is more than good enough.

What more can you expect from a budget hotel? While it might not fully qualify as a hotel, this place is ideal if you're looking for an affordable stay in Iriga City and don’t mind sacrificing amenities and services. The staff were friendly and did their best to accommodate my requests. However, the location is a bit inconvenient, requiring about 20 minutes by tricycle to reach downtown Iriga City. I didn’t take photos of the room or hotel, as the price reflects the level of accommodation and service you can expect. I chose this hotel only because the Iriga Plaza Hotel is currently under renovation. Its selling point is the price. For a total price of less than $100 I was able to get a room with 2 beds and stayed 4 days and 3 nights. Not bad for the budget conscious traveler.

Rooms — budget friendly 1, 700 lowest room rates. My sink is not working, comfort room is tiny. No water at night. No cellular service. Internet was slow. I had to go out to be able to have cellular network and I used my personal internet since the internet is not reliable. There are spiders and cockroaches in the room.
Service — poor. I ordered food in the cafe but they say it has available food from the hotel which offers meals with rice so I ordered in The reception. But the problem was that they did not let me ate it in the cafe or restor bar in the ground floor that I am currently seating since I am working because of no internet in the room. Sadly I couldn't ate it there it's only available in room. They served it without a spoon only fork is available. Hopefully they will improve the service they are offering.
Location — it's 1 to 2kms away from the city you need to take a trike that will cost 20 pesos. Parking is full so I had to park near the road which I'm not confident about since it's not really a reserved parking lot.

No backup water reservoir.
Helper was kind enough to fetch 2 buckets of water for us though.
Rooms are terrible.

I stayed at Asog Hotel for three days/nights. My room was small with no furniture whatsoever except for a small stool looking thing. The bathroom toilet has no toilet seat, has tiny sink, and the shower, even though has hot water, the water spray is very light/weak, and the air conditioner is like it runs on diesel; very loud and noisy, I had to wear ear plugs. The bed is sort of okay, but has stained sheet and thin bed cover. At night I thought the window was open for I heard the loud vehicle noises like they were right outside.
If not for necessity and if there were alternatives, I would not have stayed at this hotel. Asog is a typical Philippine provincial hotel, more designed for locals.
The only redeeming factor of Asog Hotel is a coffee shop in the premises whose outstanding staff serve good coffee and breakfast. The coffee shop has a decent selection of imported red and white wines also.

The place is accessible, the aircon works fine, and the water supply is good even though the heater doesn't work well. Tbh, I won't recommend this place. No Wi-Fi, the room feels a bit old, the resto they recommended offers expensive food but it's not really good, and sad to say, some of the staffs aren't also that nice.

An extremely invigorating hotel in the city that successfully paved difficulty during the pandemic.
It's now moving forward with its business strategy and improving its establishment by providing a new and a renovated social hall and rooms.

We have stayed here last April 2019 with my family and friens as it was recommended by our friend. Stayed here for 3 days. I made a reservation via Expedia but when we arrive in the hotel 27th April we were told their are fully booked which is not my problem as when I made the booking a day before there was 3 room was available. First they offer me a room which is not the type of room I booked. They showed me this room with a single bed which is. I told them that the rooms is small for us and also for our baggages and they offer to put and extra bed where it make more cramped abd have limited space. Then they showed me this garage room, at first glance it looks clean but when see the toilet it was not clean at all. Not a big deal as I do not mind at first as I need to get ready to attend my friend wedding that day. After we came back after the wedding we found many issues in the room itself. First the aircon though its working properly it never get room cool enough. The room itself is dirty we have to called the reception if we can a borrow mop and broom so that we can clean the room ourselves as it already night time and we need to get things done. Then tap in the sink is not working. The shower it wont close. The door in the toilet cannot be locked. I have informed the reception about this issue but the response is kinda slow. Me and wife is frustrated that we payed so much in Expedia and we expect the quality in the room to be clean and everything is working fine.
