5-star experience from greet to check out. You can spend days just hanging out without leaving the island.
I was having trouble with my paddle board and to our surprise, one of their staff came to help me. I can say they pay attention to their guests’ needs because we were already far from shore that time.
Their exclusive tours are also worth taking. Aside from having free reign on the schedule, you also get to enjoy top spots to yourselves.

Love the quiet and serene ambience of the resort, the sound of the gentle waves, the sound of the crickets & tuko at night, the mountains that surround the resort, the corals & fish underwater and the friendly staff of the resort. I recommend this! surely we'll come back.

Last June 2017 I was in El Rio y Mar with my balikbayan friends and we all loved everything about the resort, from the place, to the cleanliness, food, staffs and amenities. That is why I returned to El Rio again this Sept 1-4, 2018 with another group of balikbayan relatives this time. Same thing we all enjoyed this beautiful resort. And who knows maybe next year, I may come back again with another set of balikbayans because once I posted it in FB I got a lot of inquiries about El Rio. See you again, soon.

Lovely little resort on the edge of an inlet. The rooms are spacious enough as we had two single childrens beds in ours as well. The beach is raked after every high tide to remove all the leaves & sticks washed onto it. The staff are exceptionally pleasant and can't do enough for you. Highly recommended place to stay at.

Great place! Had lots of fun! My favorite was snorkeling with the fishes at Port Caltom. Thanks to Maria who's nice and very friendly and very eloquent PR officer at El Rio Y Mar she even showed us her personal shots of a Lion fish she spotted under Port Caltom. Must visit this great piece of heaven.

Our stay here was a great experienced from the food. Service. View … its a paradise definitely I will love to comeback… a little pricey but its worth. Super enjoy.

Best beach resort I have ever been! We stayed here with my wife for our honeymoon and I can say that our experience was amazing. Pros: * Amazing staff * Spectacular view * Serene and secluded resort * 2 Infinity Pools * Buffet breakfast with lots of cuisine choices * Spacious room with complete toiletries and all rooms are beach front. * Complete set of leisure — — food, indoor and outdoor sports, entertainment, videoke and library * Free used of non motorized water activities, snorkeling gears, paddle board and kayak * With on-site clinic Cons: * Not reachable by public transportation * No TV on each room but they have a separate adio visual room acessible to every guests for free * Pricey food but reasonable Overall: Perfect getaway for everyone and highly recommended. Will definitely go back here if given a chance.

Idyllic is the term that come closest to describing this resort nestled in an island. Crytal clear waters, nestled in a cove, sandy beach, lush green surroundings with hills at the backdrop. Yes, one can call it paradise! Nice, friendly & absolutely service minded staff! Salute.

They write "be part of the family", which seemed not just a loose promise. As one of us fell sick, we truly felt the caring of many around the resort. Very warming. Now besides this, the resort — ofcourse — was very comfortable. Spacious rooms, an extensive menu (good as you'll be eating here every meal throughout your stay), diving facilities, two pools and a beautiful view on the bay. My tip: look into a pickup from Air Juan by seaplane. We got picked up right at the pier and flew directly into Manila. Awesome experience.

Great! After 8 days the kids still didn't want to leave and to this day still talk about going back in the summer. Everyone was great and friendly from the grounds keeper to the bar tender to the resort nurse (Rose Ann who took care of our little maladies). The kids loved the beach, kayaking, paddle boarding, and milkshakes. The adults loved the food and drinks and the front reef with amazing schools of jacks. Good for people traveling with kids.

Cheesy & Overpaid If you are looking for evergreens and pseudo international food, then you are right here. The kitchen is unfortunately mediocre. The accommodations are quite nice but priced in my opinion not justified. Staff is not lacking, you have to leave the resort and the staff is very friendly. So all in all, when you're about to be talked to, Sir, then you're not like it.

One of the nicest resort we've visited in the country, very unassuming but everything exceeded our expectation. Great food, nice snorkeling area with lots of fish around, free non motorized watersports, everyone were very very nice and the place is just serene. The long pier with the bar was just amazing, we also never felt like it was crowded due to the low density of guests. Really no complaints at all and we're glad we chose to stay there… We'll surely be back!

This place is awesome, the staff make you feel so welcome and the location is absolutely stunning. Good food at the restaurant, and great dive center as well. Can't recommend it enough, and I don't think I've ever been so sad to leave a hotel before. A must-stay if you are planning a vacation in the Philippines.

Recovered from my jet lag on the beach here. Excellent food and snorkeling. The pools, AC and fans saved my life during the hottest part of the day. Had a few delicious drinks, went island hopping, saw a box jelly… then it was time to go. My second visit. It has only gotten better since last time. Even has strong cell service now.

This place is a paradise. A perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city life. Staff are fabulous! Very kind, polite and very helpful. Always have a ready smile for everyone. Very accommodating and treated everyone the same. They look after their guests very well, making sure that they are comfortable and enjoying their stay in the resort. Honest, will tell you straight forward if the tour is not suitable at that time because the weather is not so good. They are willing to play volleyball with the guests if need be. Very concern about the safety of their guests. My visit on this resort was a total bliss. I would recommend this place for a wonderful and peaceful holiday. Take note that because the place is in the island away from everything, this place is not for the night party-goers. This place is for relaxation and a haven for peace and quiet holiday.

We had a wonderful stay at El Rio y Mar! Marjo was very helpful and went out of his way to return my husband's glasses which were found in the room. Other staff members were also very friendly. They have great adobo, and just about everything else we had was good too! I would most definitely recommend this resort for anyone who would like to explore this part of Palawan. The bangka ride to Walang Lang-Aw and snorkeling was literally a breathtaking experience. I can't wait to go back!

We are still here now, our last night at this paradise to spend our 5th anniversary. Stunning beach resort with a perfect view, very private and peaceful. Super friendly staffs, great and affordable food, free kayak and paddle board. Duyans are all over the place under a coconut tree for that perfect afternoon chill. Serenaded by wonderful singers upon arrival and during dinner. We'll definitely come back.

Enjoyed 4 beautiful sunsets in this hotel. The staff is very friendly and the choice of food is very good for an Asian hotel. Make sure you taste the mango pancake. Wide choice of massage and spa treatments and diving options. The jungle is right next to the hotel, so you will be able to experience an authentic stay. Very warm welcome with music, and good cocktails.
