Ocean's Edge Resort

A beautiful oasis in the quiet island of Carabao. A hidden gem! We organised a private boat from Boracay to and from the island and were able to dock at the hotel beachfront making it even more special an experience. The room was wonderful, clean, had great Wi-Fi (Starlink) and had an incredible ocean view. We had the entire hotel to ourselves pretty much, with only a few other guests staying at the time, and were treated like VIPs. We opted for dinner at the hotel each night and lunch on our last day and were delighted by the quality of the Filipino style food cooked by Chef Melvin. The staff, Gloria and Ciarra, were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They organised massages for us and scooters to tour round the island ready for us at the hotel on our second day. This was a great way to see all the beaches and cathedral cove. The roads were really good to drive on. The hotel beach offered incredible snorkeling. Definitely recommend taking a few days to visit Carabao island and stay at this hotel if you can, for the ultimate in relaxation and an opportunity to explore an undiscovered island.

An incredible experience! The location and views from our villa were spectacular. The property was well maintained and the staff were absolutely wonderful! Everyone was so pleasant and attentive to are our needs and questions. Honourable mention to the staff that made our stay extra special: Ciarra, Merjun & Bebit. Thank you so much for a memorable vacation We will be making annual visits to this hidden piece of paradise.

Ocean edge resort is a lovely hidden gem on Carabao Island, Philippines. The staff was so lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible everyday. I recommend the Muni Muni villa for it's spaciousness and view. I looked forward to waking up at 6:30am to get to enjoy coffee and breakfast (corn beef or longansa with rice & eggs) on their breathtaking terrace that over looks the sun, ocean and birds at 7am. I loved being greeted by staff and the adorable guard's puppies, Tango and his friend (sorry, I can't remember it's name. It's a brown and white doggy). Love them! It was as if they were the resort's mascots. Huge Shout Out and THANK YOU to David, Maverick, Ciarra <3, Gloria, Merjun, ate Bebit and Tango <3 for making our stay a magical and pleasant one. Hope to see you all again in 2 years time.

Rustic and awesome ocean view. 30 minutes from Caticlan port. CARABAO ISLAND is a small town alternative to Boracay Island.

Had an amazing experience here for a few nights. If you’re looking to escape the crowds, look no further. Carabao island is quaint and comfortable, a nice break from the chaos of Boracay. If you’re coming from Boracay you’ll have to talk to the locals for a boat ride, otherwise the ferry from Catilan comes a few times a day. I rented a scooter, which made it easy to explore the island on my own time and look for hidden beaches of which there are a few. If you’re an island/beach person this is the place for you. The friendliest most amazing staff made every day so special. Absolutely love Ciarra (forgot how to spell her name) and felt welcomed by her immediately, and warmly chatted with her every day; a truly special, friendly, and bubbly person who I will never forget. Thanks for a great stay, I hope to be able to visit again soon!

The sleep quality here is guaranteed to be comfortable—it's quiet, relaxing & you are literally immersed in nature, with oceanfront views and bird sounds as well.
As for the food and drinks, they’re minimal, but I didn’t mind since I'm not a foodie and I have an allergy to alcohol. My focus was on enjoying the scenery, exploring the island, land tour, snorkeling & not staying in the hotel all day or indulging myself in amenities.
It’s a bit of a logistical challenge being on an island, & it’s understandable. I wasn’t expecting everything to be the same as a typical or luxurious hotel, per se. I even brought my own dental kit and hairdryer. Minor issues includes no hand soap & dental kit, but the staff were quick to provide after I requested. Another small issue was the door lock, was tricky to open. I arrived earlier than the usual check-in time so I understand that the room wasn’t ready.
Is it worth it? You get what you pay for, so yes, it’s worth it! You get the view, a spacious-clean bathroom, and a large room. As an accounting graduate, I tend to consider value before paying for anything, and I felt this stay was well worth it. An entire cabana was mine. It’s cheap compared to the original price.
The staff, especially Jeffrey and Ciara, were incredibly kind and easy to talk to. They even surprised me with a delicious birthday cake courtesy of Chef Ronnie which was so nice. And Chef Melvin for the best garlic chicken I’ve ever tasted—seriously! It feels like home.

The place is peaceful and quite because not so many guest were there during our stay. I love the place and looking forward to go back sometimes in the future.

The location is simply super and amazing a good ocean view and the rooms are perfect enough to feel that it is yours and they are all well maintained and clean. There are spacious rooms and to move around, nice place to party and fun. Walkability to the road is bit risky and better safety is provided.

Amazing resort! We stayed for four nights and we loved it. The resort is beautiful and has a nice swimming pool with views. If you are a snorkel fan you’ll enjoy doing some snorkeling in the private beach in front of the resort. Very kind and attentive staff and good food, suitable for vegetarians too! Wifi could work a bit better.

I stayed at the resort for a few nights with a friend in February, and it was a wonderful relaxing end to our five-week trip on the Philippines. The owner, David, constantly stayed in touch with me to make our stay comfortable, gave us information about the ferry schedule and coordinated pickup from the pier. My friend went diving with the resort's dive center almost daily and had a great time with the instructors. The restaurant was also really good, able to accommodate special requests and with a decent variety of vegetarian dishes. The pool has a great view overlooking the ocean. We stayed in one of the big cliffside villas and they were stunning. Cleaning everyday, streaming service available on the flat screen TV, Wi-Fi available all through the resort. We had a few short power outages but that is to be expected in this country :) all in all, would love to come back someday!

Came here for the dive center, in between dives I stayed at the pool and relaxed a bit. Had some food and talked a bit with the owner, a very friendly guy! The establishment seems really nice and the pool I really enjoyed. When I'm back on the island I definitely would like to stay here for a few days to combine with some dives.

The Resort is rated luxury and I must say the establishment itself is very nice, the only thing that needs attention is the proper management of the staff in regards to customer service. They lack the kind hospitality usually found throughout the Philippines 🇵🇭 and seemed to be uninterested in helping their guests, on the first day anyway. 🤔
I also feel for a resort of this calibre and owning such a wonderful restaurant they should at least have a chef that can cook the foods to a quality that is to the taste and not so rushed and bland. Also. The menu lacks variety, for the 2 days we stayed with them each time I ordered a meal it was unavailable. Not good enough?
And on our first day of arrival it took 2 hours to receive our dinner and there was only 1 other table with 4 people at it? Once food arrived, I actually couldn't eat it, it was cold and the French fries were so oily/greasy they tasted terrible.
On our second day staying there I booked their van out for a day tour at 2800p not go only see what the island sites had to offer but to be able to enjoy the foods away from the resort.
I must mention that our driver John, a local island resident was unbelievable with is warm and caring nature in all aspects. His help with everthing we asked of him was impeccable and I would have him work for me in a heartbeat. Keep up the good work John and thank you for everything. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
