Luxus Hunza

Luxus Hunza is a beautiful 5 star hotel with magnificent views. The lobby is beautiful and grand.
My room was at the front of the lake and it was so beautiful and breathtaking. At the reception I dealt with Shahzad who served me with so much hospitality and his customer service and support was exceptional. He had a constant smile and was so knowledgeable.
Just slight improvement on the night staff as they took hours bringing me towels ect… Their excuse was they are very busy. All the other services bell boys ect… we’re fantastic at their jobs.
I cannot praise this hotel enough.

The price is too high for the room. Some parts of the hotel are still under construction which people who in the room are not so private and discomfort. And also the cleanliness of the room and toilet, dusty floor and bug on the bed. For the room the hotel should rated themself as 3 stars resort.
However all the staff are nice.

I’ve never been more disappointed in a hotel. Luxus Resort Attabad Lake is an absolute scam and should be avoided at all costs.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place is all marketing and zero substance. The staff couldn’t care less. Zero hospitality, zero professionalism. Only asking to film a video of us talking positive about the hotel which I refused.
The room was filthy and depressing. Floor covered in dirt upon arrival and not a single thing felt “luxurious. ” The shower had no pressure and barely got warm. The power went out every single hour we were here. Wi-Fi barely usable, even for basic messaging most of the time, if it even worked.
As for the food, honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in Pakistan. Every single dish was bland and overpriced. Unfortunately I got food poisoning from their chicken biryani and had to make a trip to the local hospital for treatment…
Tried to order dessert from room service, guess what? “Nothing available. ” We had a sign in our room about a minibar, but no supplies and I asked reception about getting any snacks that were listed but again we were told “not available”. Its simply not good enough when there is no convenience stores or anything close by. And don’t expect additional bottled water without paying exhorbitant prices because you dont have a choice. The prices are pure robbery. It’s disgusting how badly they’re ripping people off.
The advertised spa, gym, and sauna? Closed.

Stayed there for two nights, paid a hefty price.
The only good thing about this place besides the views of-course is Shahzad front the front desk.
Food is over priced, room service is sloppy and the staff only stands at the door with a smile for no reason at all just to get a tip.
Since it was a relaxing getaway trip for me from the urban hustle, I would have really appreciated a little more care.
Average rating for me — too expensive.

Luxus Hunza Resort at Attabad Lake was an amazing experience! We spent 2 nights there and enjoyed every moment. The views of the lake and mountains were absolutely stunning. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner – all meals were delicious with great service. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout. Lots of fun lake activities made the stay even better – highly recommended!

We stayed at Luxus Hunza Resort for a night, checking in around 2 PM after a long, exhausting trek — hoping to get some rest. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what you’d expect from a so-called 5-star resort.
To begin with, the room was not clean at all. We had to wait in the lobby while housekeeping cleaned it after check-in. Once we finally got in and tried to get some rest, loud construction noises started from the floor above — constant hammering that made sleep impossible.
Despite calling the front desk five times, no one took any action. I eventually had to go and speak with the contractor myself, who, thankfully, was understanding enough to stop the work.
The room itself was average, and the hallways were constantly wet due to AC water leakage. Having traveled across three continents, I can confidently say this was the worst “luxury” stay I’ve experienced. They seriously need to reevaluate what they call a 5-star service.
To the stakeholders:
I understand the importance of business, but compromising the natural beauty of this stunning location is not worth the trade-off. Please consider consulting a skilled architect and designer before continuing to pour concrete into what should remain a wild and serene lakeside environment.

An absolute disaster of a hotel in terms of staff, rooms, facilities and services. I’ll have the pics and video that I captured speak for themselves.
The staff are untrained and most do not speak basic English.
The hotel is advertised that it has a spa, while in reality it doesn’t have a functioning one.
The corridors are filthy and full of moist and fungus.
The room are cheaply decorated.
The coffee pot doesn’t work. That room phone doesn’t work. And despite reporting this in the morning, no action took place.
The rooms don’t get cleaned or towels get replaced or food leftovers from the night before get removed.
The electricity cuts down every hour at night. The AC is not working, the radiator is not working. It’s just a mess.
In summary it’s not a hospitality business but a neglected deteriorating facility managed by careless management.
Among all hotels I stayed in in Pakistan or worldwide, this is by far the worst ever. 🤮

Everything about my stay was perfect, from the warm hospitality to the room setup. They even upgraded our room, which was such a lovely surprise! It honestly exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was delicious with great variety, and the location was ideal — peaceful, scenic, and close to everything I needed.

This resort is in a beautiful location right beside Attabad Lake, offering stunning lake views from the room. The rooms are nice, with a cozy wooden interior, and the outdoor sitting area adds to the experience with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. However, the access road is quite scary, and hot water can sometimes be an issue. The food is good, and the bathrooms are well-maintained. The room rents are very expensive, but the amazing views make it worth it. Overall, a nice place to stay and relax. I would recommend it!

I stayed here during Winter 2024 in my first visit to Pakistan. I absolutely loved my stay, the hotel staff went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable. The lake is beautiful even in winter and the views are very much worth the drive!

I was there for one night (7th Nov 2024).
Good Things:
1. I booked a lake view room and the it was excellent.
2. View was perfect.
3. Staff was also good.
Improvement:
Only thing concerning was food taste and price, taste was average. And it was too expensive, a simple plain rice price is 1150 with tax.

Booked their presidential suite for 3 nights. One word would be pathetic. It’s like you walk into a new money guys house. No class or character what so ever. Dated and worn out furniture, coupled with their extremely unsanitary conditions. Food was expensive and bad.
Might be good for the person who’s paid less for the room. But the presidential suite was just not worth it.

While I don’t think this hotel deserves the 1 or 2 star reviews on here, it doesn’t deserve the 4 or 5 either. It’s all about expectations. If you’re expecting a five star luxury resort, turn the car around and drive back to Hunza Valley. If you’re ok with a rustic feel it may be right for you.
Let’s start with the positives. The staff are friendly and try their best to offer quality service. The renovated rooms, 300 and 500 series I think were done well and athletically looks nice.
That said, there are three main reasons why you shouldn’t stay here.
1. The beds are really uncomfortable, mattress springs creek if you move and was just a really poor sleep. Why they would buy new furniture for the room but not a quality bed and mattress is bizarre. You will NOT sleep well here. It’s impossible.
2. The lake really isn’t that special. It’s about another 30 mins drive from hunza to arrive at this lake, which worth a view is not worth the trek to stay there. Stay in Hunza, enjoy the valley, see the lake if you drive to Passu cones otherwise come for lunch and see it in the day.
3. The property itself with the hut style rooms and the location on the lake are nowhere near to a five star resort. Feels old and dated with lots of construction still going on which is natural for that part of the country still being developed. Not a place I found much peace and relaxation though. The outside seating areas are a joke and not worth writing about.
The food quality fell short too.

Location of the hotel is perfect. The only down felt I rated it a 4 star because it is not wheelchair friendly. The new rooms are amazing, Staff are friendly but they are overworked. There are only 2 bellboys to assist with luggage. The spa was very nice especially the therapist Malou but she has to answer calls, change the linen and do the treatment. I booked for 8pm but she only started the treatment at 9pm. Please also include Gluten Free options.

Absolutely lovely staff. Nadir at the restaurant went above and beyond at breakfasts. Every single staff member was fantastic. But this is NOT a five star hotel. The bathrooms were outdated and had sewage smell. The flush button broken (photo attached) We told the reception who sent house keeping, they sprayed to mask the smell but it didn’t go away during our two days stay.
The wall opposite our room looked awful and needed paint (photo attached). A five star hotel does NOT have disposable cups and cutlery for tea and coffee in the rooms.
The second restaurant (Chinese) was closed because of off season which is understandable but the route to gojal restaurant was dangerous to simply put it (photo attached) no railing and seemed to be under construction. I was scared for my toddler!
Issue with Wi-Fi in the rooms. Lots of load shedding. Heating wasn’t working and kept switching off. It was near 0 degrees!
Overall our stay was OK. Lovely staff, beautiful breathtaking view of attabad lake but THIS IS NOT A FIVE STAR HOTEL. This is from somebody who travels frequently and stays at four/five star hotels worldwide.
