Rooms are basic but very comfortable. The breakfast choice is out of this world! Good heating. No air conditioning (but then how often do you need it here in Trondheim!

The rooms, Staff and of course the breakfast are amazing Location in the hart of Trondheim beside Nidelven, I love it.

Such a beautifull Hotel, overlooking the river. Excellent service with a variety of ontop of the world buffet breafast that you cannot afford to miss. The location is central and easy to reach.

The location of the hotel is very good and very nice. It's right next to the river and it looks like you're inside it depending on the room that touches you. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. Right next to the hotel there are some very good and nice walking areas. Highly recommended.

Nice clean rooms with a good bed. Needed to work in the evening, and both the desk and wireless network made that easy. The breakfast is legendary. Make sure you have enough time to enjoy it fully. The online check out was hard to find, but short queue and friendly staff made check out a breeze.

The hotel in itself is pretty standard. Nice and quiet, though. Most people stay here for the breakfast buffet, which has a good selection of most things anyone could want to eat in the morning.

Paid for the Superior Extra room, got room At entry the room was very warm, it was a normal day outside and it felt like 30C+ inside, had to open all windows and turn all heat off to make it doable (there's no AC), after this we noticed the minibar isn't working as everything inside is also hot… The view was outstanding though as we were placed towards solsiden, the other edge of the southern part of the hotel. The bed was very comfy, however pillows were thin and hard to sleep in. After several hours of airing the warmth out we had to sleep in about 26C which was quite hard, there was also a lot of noise coming from outside as all windows were wide open at midnight. The coffee and tea section also was lacking, as there were no cups or proper glasses available. Had to drink tea æ from a Wine glass, and behold there was only 1 tea left & available, no coffee or anything else. There's also just 1 wall socket available for charging your phones near the bed FYI. Other than all this, breakfast was the best I've had. And that's the only thing keeping this at a 3 star, for the price I expected much more.

Was there a while ago for the breakfast. It was really really god. Looking forward to go again :)

We stayed here for the first time in February and were impressed with the services and the much advertised breakfast. Then there weren't so many guests. This time around it wasn't the same. The temperature in the room can't be regulated. For breakfast, the coffee bar was out of order as well as the fresh orange juice presser. And they went out of bread.

Staff fantastic, we were told that there were no need for booking the restaurant at phone contact a week before. Once there the restaurant were occupied and we almost went for another one down town. But very professional service staff offered a nice table and served us the most delightful 5 stars dinner. Thank you. Best hotel breakfast in Norway has lost its magic, still big but without personality. Still we'll be back!

You don't get a better breakfast in any other hotel. The drinks are good too.

Very good breakfast. Really nice location, and very helpful staff. Only downside is the room was too warm and seemed to keep heating back up regardless of what I tried, even though it was only around 10 degrees outside. I assume they keep the heating on full blast in the room directly below me or something!

Lovely hotel, friendly staff. Not all rooms face the river. But they are well appointed, spacious and comfortable. Really well located. Near the station and just 10 minutes from the old bridge and 15 minutes from the cathedral.

Truly the best hotel-breakfast (atleast out of the 40-50 I've visited). Big rooms and big room-TV's. The lobby was great for small professional meetings, and the receptionists were kind and helpful. If I need to criticize one thing, it would be the bathrooms. They were a bit too small for the personal needs.

All good, until you realize your room is in the end of another building what you have to reach by walking 10 minutes and take 2 different elevators.

The room was ok, but it said it had partial view of the river witch it didn't, only view was other windows. The shower head has a rift so water came out on the side. Great breakfast with great assortment of different foods and chefs making custom omelettes etc. Also very decent coffee. Bed was good, not much noise from the other rooms.

The location is perfect! The rooms are very nice but miss an ironing board which is vmpretty essential for a hotel room. They don't have free parking either which is also a must. But these flaws are all well worth it due to the amazing breakfast! Best hotel breakfast in Norway!

Nice stay. Excellent breakfast! Some (understandable) noise due to construction-work at the hotel. Only a short walk to downtown Trondheim. Would definitely recommend it to others!

Extra clean… Very nice. The most impressive thing is definitely the breakfast. Best quality and variety I've ever seen.

Overall a good stay, but some points really pull it down. The room was spacious, but the extra beds were a bit springy. The largest problem was the outside noises, it was really hard to sleep with all the cars, trains and boats right outside our windows. Breakfast was great, but still lacking in the gluten free alternative for those of us who can't eat it. A nice bonus was that the TV had an extension cable to easily connect your own devices.

The room was nice and spacious. However it lacked the advertised bathrobes and the room had a few spots of dirt here and there The breakfast buffet was excellent. Superb selection and friendly staff.

Best breakfast that I have ever had. And I have seen a lot of different breakfasts around the world. Rooms are regular, but breakfast is the winner.

By far and large this is the best breakfast buffet I have seen in the world. Rooms are clean and tidy. Very helpful staff. Free Wi-Fi.

Awesome breakfast, although I must say that it felt a bit too crowded. The first room I got smelled smoke, but after I told the receptionist, I got a new and almost identical room. Good service. Not bad priceing. I would definitely stay here the next time I need a place to sleep in Trondheim.

There is a reason this place has been voted as one with the best breakfast in not just Trondheim, but in Norway. The breakfast is simply awesome with lots of variety! What's more is that it is based non self service and you cannot fail to find something to ticket your taste buds. Clearly the best breakfast I have ever had!

Great hotel in the port area of Trondheim. Excellent maintenance, cleanliness, and quality of furnishings. It was very nice and the breakfast was very good. Possibility of free use of the hotel bicycles.

A pleasant hotel. I can easily understand the reason why it has been awarded several times for their breakfast! Really good!

Great hotell that have won the Twinings Best Breakfast  hotel breakfast award, 10 years in a row for the best hotels breakfast in Norway.

Good breakfast as expected. Disappointed with the evening food availability. Welcome card in room said food is served until 11 pm but once down to the bar/restaurant they informed you the kitchen closes at 10:30 pm.

Friendly and professional staff. Very good lunch with lot of variety, excellent hand made coffee, decent conference coffee. Ok rooms. During the conference some of the microphones lost connection for about 20 seconds every half hour, but otherwise a decent conference experience. Very good location by the center of the town.

Brautiful rooms, especially the conferance rooms. The service was as expected, but the real treat was the breakfeast. I don't know if it still holds up today, but last time I was there it was a great time.

Nice food and good view over the fjord and lower Trondheim.

Great hotel – and a truly exceptional breakfast! The hotel is comfortable, clean and well situated in Trondheim. The welcome was very warm and we were pleased with our room which had plenty of sun light in the morning and a nice view of Nidelva river (see attached photos). The room was clean and modern with an excellent bed. The hotel is well positioned for the airport bus and there's a short walk into town. And as nearly everybody else have mention – the breakfast is unbelievable! Highly recommended hotel in Trondheim! Regards Svein-Magne Tunli from Bergen, Norway.

Great breakfast! Very friendly staff. Is redcorating the restaurant in july 2013 and has replaced Norway's best breakfast with a dissapointing buffet…

A modern Hotel in a great location. Food, unfortunately, is beyond any question and what it is called elsewhere Service, the chance.

Breakfast buffet is out of this world! Accomodations are a bit spartan by American standards.
