We were told that we needed to pay to reserve a car space but there were actually free street parking available. Apartment was not true to pictures. Towel rack in the bathroom was broken, shower cubicle had the corner metal piece falling out, and there was a hole in the wall of the smaller bedroom. Discovered all of these after the host said the apartment was recently refurbished. Asked 3 times for a laundry rack to dry our clothes and was told twice that they are out on loan…. When I asked the third time, they said that we can only use the dryer. Pots and pans were in a terrible state and teflon coating was peeling off. Knives were rusty. Why would they provide these quality of cutlery and utensils to paying customers when they would not use these things themselves?

Nice hotel, nice staff. But they do not propose breakfast any more…

Cheap hotel with small rooms, but its nicley located, no noise and good curtains. Minus for uncomfortabl bed, and a very small sink.

Staff is nuce and helpful. I used this hotel 5 years ago and I was disappointed the hotel doesnt propose breakfast now. This is the reason why I may not book again.

We got really bad service, they told us we need to pay more for cleaning our room! And the manager didn't even agree to talk to me, he only send orders through front desk. Really poor and cheepy hotel, and the prices are very high for a 3 star hotel, no breakfast.

Friendly front desk. The Wi-Fi is incredibly slow and spotty. Breakfast is a bit of a walk but very good. Great location in the center of the city. 6pm waffles were great.

I didn't received any explanation regarding cancelled booking in March. My booking cancelled at time I was on way from Oslo to Tromso. At hotel on arrival just been informed reservation cancelled. Disgusting.

Hotel central, functional, cerva of everything you need for this trip.

Clean, good treatment and the best coffee and you'll be free and from the 7 of the afternoon waffles and free delicious to part the úbicacion excellent.

Very clean, with friendly staff, quiet, close to the centre of Tromsø. Really comfortable bed, plus a strong shower. Good fun making waffles in reception in the evening. Recommended.

In a great spot for those who want to have a base in town.

If you manage to snatch a discounted price (like last-minute rate), it's a very good place to stay — rooms are not large but very warm and comfortable. Also there's a bar at the lobby and 24-hour front desk.

Very small room. It's less than I expected for the price I paid.

Everything is smaller than it looks in the pictures! Lots of crowds! There is not painting a coffee maker. And there is an alleged deaccountation of an insurance that does not exist rip off!

Good service Wi-Fi is a bit spotty and a good amt of hot water though it's not unlimited. Large spacious area. Beds are soft if that's your thing. Tromso is a small town to begin with so downtown is only a couple minutes walk away, though parking is sparse around the area.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The location is perfect, the bus from the airport leaves you five minutes away.
The apartments are exceptional, they don't lack anything.
Very good price to be the city that is.

Nice venue however it is missing key items such as a kettle. For the price the value is ok, not outstanding.

The location is very good Friendly and helpful reception staff. Room assigned adequate for the permanence of three persons. But why so scarce housekeeping? Why redo a bed and not the other? Why clean the bathroom and not the room? In Summary: Why cleaning intermittently? We paid x every day to stay!

Good location, clean and comfortable.

Very friendly hotel staff who tried to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. They even saved us from paying for expensive northern lights tours by showing the best locations to see the lights in Tromsø and guided us to the best vegetarian restaurants. The rooms were recently renovated and are very clean and comfortable. I was very surprised when I reached after seeing only a 3 star rating on other sites.

Just outside the town centre. Really friendly and helpful staff, clean, comfortable, quiet, warm, cosy, and a great ensuite. Free tea and coffee downstairs. And cook your own waffles in the afternoon/evening. TV in the room which was great. Also had very good free Wi-Fi. My room on the top floor had a beautiful view towards Fjellheisen. If I had a clear night I could have seen the Northern Lights from my bedroom window! I had a great time in Tromsø and it all started from a great hotel experience. Nice staff and delicious waffles! Unfortunately the room was not really clean.

A reasonable value for money, not fancy but comfortable appartments, friendly staff, property close to city centre (Sentrum). 24 hours free Wi-Fi, Tea/Coffee for the guests. Appartments have, TV, cooking range, microwave, toaster, tea/coffee maker, bread box, basic utensils and cutlery, dishwasher and room warmer. It is highly desirable to put good exhaust system in place in the apartments, to let the WC fumes go out fast; a small exhaust fan provided is very insufficient. The management blocks towards refundable security a deposit amount at check-in, which is released well after check-out to the guests (credit) card account… this is over and above apartment rentals. Common reception for Viking's Hotel and Apartments.

Very valid hotel for the price you pay. The rooms are big, mattresses are very comfortable and the overall experience is a pleasure. The staff is also kind and professional. Recommended.

We had a family room with four individual single beds. The room is pretty small. The hotel is a easy walk to other restaurants. It's very close to the old Mack brewery, Polaria museum. The breakfast offering is limited and cost additional 100 NOK per person. We bought our own breakfast supplies at Eurospar, a grocery store just a block away. Parking around the hotel, on the streets require permit which can be purchased from hotel for 180 NOK each night. They do offer free tea at lobby.

Small but very nice, clean rooms. Nice breakfast with very good fresh bread and lots of different toppings. And yes of course: free waffles. Very helpful staff. Hope to come back here.

Unfortunately I am very disappointed of service and the room standard in this hotel. I wasn't expecting much for this money (about £70 b&b pp per night) as it was promotional price but the reality which I faced encourage me to place that brutally honest opinion.
From the beginning room was very cold and it takes a while before we bring it to regular temperature as we know that in Norway is pretty cold. Than from the first day the housekeeping services wasn't good enough. They only just emptied the bins once without vacuuming or other general cleaning like making the beds or wiping the bathroom even. The second day we had to asked them to come over again and provide us some freshbath towels and refill toilet rolls as we had just one roll for 3 residents. We have to asked to take the rubbish out and do some hoovering the next day as no one was bothered to do it till now.
In the offer it says that they are offering some wafers with jams and cream from 6 — 8pm but in reality they were run out of it at around 7pm. Flasks with the hot Water for drinks was always run out and not really freshly boiled just warm. Milk was served in a miniature pots so you have to asked for refill quite a few times if you wished to make more than one drink.
On the end one more spot. During breakfast we noticed that none of the food was sign in anyway.
