Truly nice location by the harbour… Nearby to airport. The room is tidy and clean. The staff hospitality is great. Breakfast is good. Luv the scenery by the window of our room. As we walk ahead to the platform opposite of the hotel to look out for the nothern lights it appeared on the 2nd night of our stayed. Amazing… Will surely recommend this hotel.

Very friendly staff! Heated bathroom floor (Awesome)! Clean. Beautiful scenery from room. And outside u are like in a little village town. They have restaurants all around walking distance. ”Fantastic Breakfast “! Yes rooms are a little small. But I’m not here for the room. All we do is sleep well there then up for our Huge breakfast and out for our next adventure. We are going on a Water Safari and fishing tomorrow.

Good location, decent hotel.

Of course, the rooms are rather small, but if everyone wants a room by the water.
In addition, the hotel is not new and back then it was a good standard. I find it remarkable how the space is used, the concept seems to me well thought out. In addition, the bathrooms seem to have been remade.

If you really want a room by water, book a room with a balcony. Those without a balcony often go out in the back towards the parking lot.

Breakfast was well sorted, but on Monday with fewer guests one or the other was missing. I would also give 4 stars for breakfast.
By the way, the poor FRANKE coffee machine should also be serviced.

It's a pity that the space to eat is so scarce. Everything is a bit tight and cheap.

So generally ok with a few weaknesses but also strengths.

A little strange layout at the breakfast lounge, otherwise, just fine.

Except for the varied and quality breakfast they offer, the attention at reception, as well as the room service is poor is short and unprofessional: they try to charge what you have already paid through a wholesaler's bonus in case of sneaking; cleaning the room—already not very gleaming in itself—is limited to stretching the Nordic cover and replenishing towels. The room that we were assigned very, very small, the hotel very crowded and the parking, although free, is insufficient for so much customer that we travelby car in summer x this beautiful area of Norway.

Lovely hotel at the heart of Svolvaer with great harbor views.

The room was so cramped that it was not possible to get to the balcony without climbing over the Better. (see photo)  

Unfortunately, many of the passengers were exactly the same, the hotel seems to be only about accommodateing as many travelers as possible.   

After we inquired at the reception for an upgrade and received in response that the room with balcony was already the upgrade was clear to us, here we do not stay one more night. We have already decided to leave one night earlier and have organized an accommodation at our own expense.

Small strategic town halfway up the island. Good restaurants and hotels accessible to different pockets. Here stops the mythical "Postal"

Negative point… the evening buffet closes at 6.30 pm.

Very nice hotel. They even upgraded us to a room with a view on the second day of our stay. Good breakfast. Parking is available.

I did not stay overnight, just had breakfast here for a week. The Scandic offers the best breakfast in whole Svolvaer. The breakfast room has a wonderful view overlooking the harbour. Very scenic!

Small rooms for some from what I read, but personally I found the space of our double room ok. (I don't need my hotel room for running around or playing football. ) Not very spacious, true, but cosy and clean room (which is the most important for me), very good breakfast and lovely view of the sea from the restaurant! I also found the staff very polite. If we had got a room with a sea view it would have been 5 stars.

My room is at building on the construction. Label of door number is attached by paper temporarily and door lock is seemed to be unfinished. No refrigerator, No coffee port, No safe, No tissue in the room.

Hotel with a very nice view, despite having meeting room is super quiet, it is good to know that everything around closes early and the hotel restaurant also, the good thing was that we went in group and the Guide managed to converse with the administrator and the next day Coming back from a long walk, they were already waiting for me with some sanguiches and some coffee. It was something that surprised us, it's worth that place… Super Cozy.

What a place, what a view! Charming sea-side rooms with a wonderful balcony almost on sea-level. Best place in town.

Great location and even better breakfast! Rooms are a little bit old but comfortable enough. Some light comes trough the curtains in the morning (in summer), and the bed could be better, but the bathroom is great and there is Wi-Fi. The ground floor has been recently renovated and looks beautiful.

I am really angry! I booked a room for a week, Lofoten have meant silence and peaceful place for and what I got? LAMMHOLMEN FESTIVAL at hotel literally! It is 11 pm at the moment, I am with my 8 years old son and we cannot do anything just listen horrible noise! For 2 days I asked for meeting with manager and I am still waiting! No parking! Drunk people around hotel, completely drunk man talked to my child! I upset, I am really angry! Booked holidays 6 months ago and NOBODY informed me about this noisy event! Now my child is afraid of going out from hotel, he cries there is noise! And scary people! So what Scandic will offer me in advance for my child tears?

Great location but too expensive.

Built in 1995 and apparently not once updated during the ensuing 20+ years, Scandic Svolvær is long overdue for a major renovation. The cheap, sparse furnishings (no bedside table or shelf, nor power outlets) and depressing lighting (all fluorescent) make this a 2-star hotel at best. The location is the only thing going for it, though be careful about room selection: some have views of nothing but the parking lot. Soundproofing between rooms is very poor. Housekeeping also needs improvement: my room had a nearly exhausted roll of toilet paper (and no spare roll) and completely empty shower gel dispenser. Unacceptable for the rates charged here.

Great location. Restaurant and outdoor seating is on the sea front directly. Best place to stay among higher segment properties with value for money.

The location is certainly impressive, with the hotel being based on a small island accessible by a small bridge. Most views look out into the harbour. Rooms are good quality and contain a temperature regulated en suite with heated floors. Service is exemplary and staff are very friendly. Breakfast served in the morning is to a very high standard and the choice of food is very diverse.

Right on the water, and near all the restaurants. Good service and clean rooms.

Great location in Svolvær! This hotel is nicely placed on a small Island in the harbour of Svolvær. The room I had was small and reminded me of a ship cabin (see my attached photos). It was clean, spartanly decorated but slightly dark. A seating area with a table was available. But there are no bedside tables. The bathroom was cleaned and with a nice selection of products (shampoo, body lotion etc. ) I had a great view of the harbour from the small balcony. The breakfast is served with sea view, and had a very good selection. Wifi and parking is free. The scenery around is very beautiful but if you are looking for the most spectacular nature in Lofoten I will recommend the area around Reine (Moskenes)! Such a lovley place have a very nice view, amazing people who are working there, and the food.

Lovely location on the water. Small room but cute balcony overlooking view. Small bathroom but everything you need. Free tea and coffee always available. Food last night good but you have to like fish in Norway.

Pleasant place to stay. Average-sized rooms. If you're lucky — you can get a room with a view to the harbour with a balcony just above water. Hotel is crowded on some days. And check your invoice when checking out — the final price was different than that one shown during online reservation! Now they're not replying to my emails and I feel cheated. That's not the best way to satisfy hotel guests.
