3rd night and we think there’s a 4th coming of 10pm-2am apres from Laaven which is right next door to the hotel apartments at this family friendly resort, it’s not Ibiza!
The 4 hours until 7pm is absolutely fine, we enjoyed listening to that every evening, then it starts up again at 10pm!
Inconsiderate guests running the corridors banging and clattering. 3rd night of the music and the fire alarm is set it off for a joke as they’re all coming in! Everyone awake all the kids. We’re absolutely exhausted now. This isn’t a chill around the pool holiday. We all need sleep for a full day of skiing, there was no warning of music every night until 2am!
They shouldn’t be accepting group bookings of under 21’s at this family hotel and there should be an older adult booked in with each group booking if you’re wondering what I’m expecting for this to be prevented at the hotel.
Also track down the joker from cctv and have them removed because there needs to be consequences!

Compensation was offered on arrival due to the construction disturbance and accepted in good faith, but was later withdrawn after the stay, which was both misleading and poorly handled.
The “Mountain View” room we booked was positioned directly in front of an active construction site (for their new hotel), with machinery, a crane and site offices dominating the outlook, resulting in a heavily obstructed view.
Construction noise ran from approximately 7am to 7:30pm each day, with excavators and heavy equipment operating directly outside the window. The ground-floor location (advertised as first-floor) also meant no privacy, with workers passing by constantly, forcing the curtains to remain closed and removing natural light.
Overall, the experience did not reflect what was booked; the reception staff lied about compensation during the stay, and it was handled in a way that fell well below expectations.

We booked a “Studio Mountain View” apartment. The unit faced directly on an active construction site, incl. Site offices, machinery & a crane, resulting in a significantly obstructed mountain view.
In addition to the obstructed view, there was substantial construction noise from early morning. We were woken before 7am by excavators working directly outside the window, making it difficult to rest in the unit. The unit on the ground floor offered no privacy due to construction workers walking past throughout the day, as the site office entrance was directly opposite the unit's window & “balcony”, resulting in curtains needing to remain closed, removing all natural light & any usable view.
We raised this immediately on arrival. The reception manager offered compensation for the construction disturbance, but it was later withdrawn after the stay.
We were temporarily moved to another apartment for part of the stay, which we appreciated; however, this required packing & moving twice during a 7-night trip as the alternative room was booked. This wasn't an upgrade; it was a workaround for an unsuitable room.
Trysil Alpine Lodge confirmed via email, “Information about ongoing construction work at the property is stated on the Booking. Com listing, so guests are informed in advance that some disturbances may occur. ” This is buried in the property information & does not make clear that a “Mountain View” room may, in reality, face directly onto a construction site.
