Wild Waves Surf-House Hotel

We spent 4 days at gianni’s place and we couldn’t have felt more comfortable! Gianni and Anna were incredible. We had to switch places because we booked very late, but even if the last day we were not at wild waves, Gianni kept treating us like we were. Thanks for everything and I’m definitely recommending!

Surfers paradise. Hammocks. Clean rooms. Warm fresh water showers with good pressure, amazingly comfy beds, beach view from our window. Amazing surf. Perfect! This is also where the locals hang out, which totally made the experience great! This place is right across the street from the surfboard rental shop. Take a pic of the surfboards when you rent them. Some of the boards are banged up and it's always better to refer back to a pic than rely on memory when it comes to board damage. This place is also down the road (walking distance) from a small convenience store and about 6 restaurant choices. We frequently went to La Tica ($3 casado meals & lots of opportunities to meet new people). It was surprisingly quiet. It's literally a 30 second walk to the beach (we could see it from our room window). The entire beach stretches about 2 miles each direction from Wild Waves. Look for turtle tracks and sea shells! The surf was great! Our favorite surf break was Popoyo. I got a couple of surf lessons from one of the local guys, Hector. He really helped me dial it in and was a lot of fun to hang out with! We also walked to Sardinas beach (to the left when you leave Wild Waves and walk the beach) and climbed up on the big rock to watch the sunset. Amazing! I also recommend visiting the tide pool (to the right). Just be careful climbing the rocks.

This is one of the best places where we stayed in Central America. Super friendly people, everything always clean. Super good location with only a short walk to the local supermarket, the best surf board rental we have seen so far and just in front the beautiful surf spots. Gianni the owner will help you with everything you need. You can't go wrong here!

40 meters from the beach, it's a very safe and clean place, room with AC, private toilet and shower, shared kitchen and they can also cook nice food for you!

Stayed here on our moto trip last year. Motorcycle friendly, surf friendly (obvi), inexpensive and lovely. AC and coffee, what more do you need?

Perfect place to stay in popoyo. Next to the main surfbreak. Good prices for the private rooms and the owner is really nice. Also has a kitchen and the supermarket is just 2 minutes away.

Best place to stay in Guasacate (Popoyo). Very nice owner, 5 min walk to the best wave in Nicaragua that always has waves, surf tours to other spots, great food nearby, air condition if you want — all you need for an awesome vacation you can find right here!

Place is clean and functional, the vive that you can find it here it s difficult to find somewhere else! The owner Gianni it s a plus point, he s a friendly person and really helpfull as well! Guys I really reccomend to come here if you come to popoyo! 10/10

Good place to stay, if you are looking for a chilled place, run by Gianni from Italy and his family, straight on the beach, in front of the surf spot, good italian and nica food!
