In my opinion, my stay in the Simple Beach Lodge was great mainly because of the friendliness and quality of staff, make you feel as if you were in your own house, apart from the beautiful courtesy, the place is very quiet and relaxing, the experience was so pleasant that I did not hesitate to back after a few days. I want to thank you for the comfort and kindness that we received!

Five stars! At the top of my list for places to stay in Nicaragua :) This lodge has the best setting in Las Peñitas with great surf and waves exploding off the rocks right in front of the beach. The owners and staff were all super friendly and welcoming, and the vibe was super chill with great music, amazing food, and some of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen. The room was clean and comfortable, and it’s just a short walk to the pulperia (market) and some great little restaurants. Wish I could have stayed longer but looking forward to coming back on my next trip. If you make it here you’ll be sure to enjoy the setting and the views. Muy buena onda! ☀️‍♂️

From the initial greeting I was stared at but this I’m used to. Following up with ordering drinks all throughout the day I became known quickly but I tend to stay to myself. I asked for help with laundry big mistake, they didn’t wash anything properly and still charged me, next time use the lady down the street, check. If you are African American or English speaking and not of Nica decent expect to be outcasted as usual. Expect second rate treatment unless you’re accompanied by a local or someone of a lighter complexion. Most people just give the side eye but in this case I was not perfect in my interactions, therefore the true colors of others showed.

Excellent place to chill out and take some time as a couple or by yourself. The vibe is relaxed and the vision that matt and ceci (and beautiful baby) have is authentic and catching from the minute you check in. Las penitas will change and as it does this hidden gem will become more and more of a hidden hideaway. Highly recommended!

My favorite place in Las Peñitas! Argentinean owners are quite friendly and the service stands up from other business around! Rooms are clean and comfy plus they have this new bar area which is perfect for sunsets and in my case got the luck to arrive when they had live music, but like really nice music! Locals playing covers or nice songs. If you're looking for a chill, calm, neat, food friendly and affordable place to go, this is your place to be!

Hoping to get a room here, the food and vibe is top notch! Organic coffee the best I've had in Nicaragua since we'e been here over a month, and fresh juice served with reusable straw! Thank you for your commitment to the enviornment & being a leader in Nicaragua.

I did not stay here — — but we enjoyed 2 days of drinking on the beach here. Nice place. IMHO best place to stay at penitas. Great drinks, nice atmosphere out back.

I didn't stay here, just came for lunch and drinks. The food is awesome, great vegetarian options too. The drinks are delicious! Great vibe and cool people. Excellent spot right on the beach to watch those Pacific sunsets!

We were delighted by the hotel, its location and the staff. In fact, we regretted having booked only two nights! Directly on the beach, with restaurant sympatia feet in the sand, we were conquered by the kindness of the staff, especially by the owners, Matt and CECI!
Very good food at a low price. We were afraid to get too hot in the room: We slept there like babies: the Windows are placed so that the breeze of the sea enters effectively into the room. In addition, a powerful but silent rotating fan is fixed to the wall with remote controls (as needed as it was not necessary)

What a great vantage point to enjoy the Las Penitas beach. Short walk to other restaurants. Lovely hosts.

We booked an eco loft with a bathroom and a space to sit on the first floor and the bed on the second floor. A-ma-zing. We could see the sea threw our window. The hostel is also well situated : right on the beach and close to restaurants. They also have their own restaurant with good food but it's a bit expensive. The only big downside is the extremely low pressure of the shower. I would go back anyway :)

Simple! Is a beautiful lodge just in front of the best spot of Las Peñitas for surf practice! Good food and good ambient with Mat and Ceci leading a different place in Nicaragua. Just try and you'll never change! Thanks guys!

Came here for a little R&R out of the hustle and bustle of the city. Not a single regret about it. Lovely people, serene atmosphere, and yummy food. I will see you guys the next time I need a break, and I have recommended it to anyone who asks about a place to stay at the beach. Thanks for everything!

Great place! We had the Double Room — Eco Loft with ocean view and it was perfect with the double bed and mosquito net on the 2nd floor. Really friendly and helpful staff and a delicious breakfast right at the beach. I'd recommend it to anyone!

A bit pricey on the food, but an beautiful place and excellent spot right on the beach with a great rock formation in front, the vest dor taking sunset pictures.
