As described. Easy to deal with. Had everything we needed.

First of all, I should state that my stay at the Airport Lodge Motel was paid for by my employer so value for money is not a factor in my review. When I arrived the shower in my room was broken and the smoke alarm was screaming but reception had warned me that my room was "being fixed" and when I got to the room one of their staff arrived within seconds to upgrade me to a 2 room suite straight away, so they dealt with that issue straight away. However they left the smoke alarm screaming for minutes. This didn't bother me much as I was now across the carpark from it but I did feel for any guests that might have been trying to relax in their room. The other main reason I only gave these guys a 3 star review is because the internet was so slow it was almost useless in my room. (However, some of the guys I was working with on this job — who were also staying here — were blown away by how fast the internet was. And given they are from Tokyo and used to decent internet speeds it must have been fast. Unfortunately, in my room this was not the case). However, I do give the Airport Lodge Motel bonus points for having a super friendly cat!

Great convenient service with free parking for 2 weeks and airport collection — couldn't ask for more really.

Clean and tidy room with offstreet parking available. Close to the airport and off the main road, so there is only a little airplane noise and no road traffic noise. Heater was left on so had a warm room upon entering. Friendly staff. Offer transfers to airport but I did not use. Free Wi-Fi, but for only one device.

Perfect for what we needed a cheap airport motel. The shuttle was awesome they both picked us up and dropped is off within minutes of requesting it.

The room was kinda small, but it fit 5 people comfortably. Had plenty of accommodations. Good for a overnight stay close to the airport.

Very nice clean an comfortable and especially enjoyed the visit from the cat at 3am who made itself at home on our bed while wain for taxi.

Booked for my friend. Not satisfied with toilet close to shower. Cat door. Draught coming through from outside. Shelf on wall should be removed in case of bumping on and getting hurt. Pressed door bell as no one in reception waited a while before owner came. My friend won't stay there again. I would not stay there either.

Comfortable rooms for the family — a convenient location near bus routes and the airport and Jackson behind the desk was super friendly and helpful.

The place is well maintained and quite near to the airport. But the hotel is quite far from the city centre, so if you are planning to visit the city, better look for a place near to the city centre.

Lovely people on reception but the rooms need a little work. Windows that didn't lock, sink had cracks was also rusted. Wiring on hair drier showing so was electric blanket. Oven seal always coming out. Had microwave but no bowls to use in it. It felt like a motel to stay over night and not a week. The toilet bowl was broken they did fix this but the smell was not nice.

Cheap and cheerful, It is handy to the airport with a shuttle and helpful friendly staff. The rooms are tired and dated and in need of some love, the carpet is threadbare and the furniture is old. It was fine for a quick stopover but only if you are really tired.

Facility obsolete. Top service. Super Price performance.

Very friendly staff, they even call a restaurant for a booking for me. Place is clean and spacious, we got two rooms. Everything is a little bit outdated/old fashion but for one nigh before take off this is perfect.

Generous sized rooms. Renovations have been carried out but there aren't a lot of facilities here. Suitable budget accommodation.

Go there again. Not flash but great service an value for money.

All the basics were there. The 24/7 reception was handy. I'd probably stay there again if I just needed somewhere to leave my things or sleep for 4 hours. I wouldn't stay there consecutively if I was exploring Christchurch.

The counter is Malay Chinese speak Chinese, quite talkative and friendly, there is a good delivery machine. Rooms have a master bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen one, very spacious, to return to Taiwan on the last night are full of beauty.

Good service and rooms are also good. The garden lawn is well maintained. Airport and city pickup and drop service is excellent.

A small but cozy motel, for people who need a place to rest their heads, some of the amenities where a bit out dated but it's convenience being so close to shops and the airport outweigh that.

Checked in to room. It has 1 queen size bed and a single, with spacious lounge area, complete kitchen utensils, oven, microwave oven, salt and pepper, milk and cutlery, the bathroom is spacious enough with bath. Clean. Overall experience is great! Close to airport.

Quite tired, needs a lot of work to bring uptodate. Consideration should have been given by motelier regarding which unit to put a solo lady traveller in, not one on the main street. Shuttle service was good though.

We stayed twice at each end of a New Zealand holiday as it is convenient to the airport. It is neat motel and probably been here for a longish time. The first visit the room was good but missed having no lounge or lounge chairs. It had a dripping tap which had to have a cloth to stop it disturbing us. The second visit we had a larger unit with separate bedroom and it had two double couches Some fittings somewhat knocked about such as bedroom dresser. There was a separate kitchen The rating is based on combining both visits.

Property was neat & tidy and close to airport. Great playground for kids too. Staff are amazing & very helpful.

I have stayed on more than one occasion, and I have generally found them to be helpful and the rooms to be adequate. We stayed in the two bedroom units and whilst the décor was dated, the rooms were tidy and clean. It was one of the best double bedroom units that I could find.

Unfortunately this establishment was booked through Wotif purely because nothing else was available and our mobile phone did not enable us to ring the motel directly. Hence we were placed into a tiny almost storage room size unit for the last night of our holiday, and the bathroom was such that you could not easily use the facilities! A small kitchenette was in the room but running extension cords to plug in a hair dryer from the kitchen area of the bedsit to the bathroom with the only mirror was not OH and S satisfactory for us! The girl at reception had recently taken over the management and she happily refunded me the difference between Wotif's charges and her rates, to compensate for the lousy room and the booking fees Wotif charge. However, given that we were hedged in opposite the laundry also, with a one inch gap under the door that let in cold air, and beats me why there was a pet door in the actual door, we were still not comfortable. She did say she would place us in a better room next time we visited.

I stayed here with my sisters and a friend for one night and I have to say I have never had such an awful experience with customer service. The owner of the motel, Martin, needs to brush up on his customer service as I find him rude and arrogant when there was a problem. If you work in the hospitality industry, you need to have people skills which I believe Martin did not. They were never in the reception at the 9 morning while checking out so we had to wait around for 20 minutes and the rooms were okay. Please avoid this place if you can. I never write reviews but I had to for this place as I dont want people to have the same experience that I did.

We stayed here for 1 night after arriving at 11:30 pm. The airport pickup was very handy and the man that picked us up was nice. It was fairly quiet, although bed felt like it was 20+ years old, did not sleep well, and pillows were cleraly almost as old, very, very lumpy pillows. I would try somewhere else next time. Room was clean and tidy.
