Friendly professional staff. Great central location.

We were traveling from Nelson to Christchurch on Thursday evening. During the trip down I phoned Bella Vista to make a booking and reached their after hours service. We had to pull over on the side of the road so we were in phone range to make our booking which took 20 minutes! During this time the person we made the booking with assured us there would be a portacot available for a fee of approximately $20-$30 per night. I advised we were not willing to pay that as had stayed nationally and internationally in many hotels / motels and had never had to pay a fee before. I queried again that I would need assurance there was no fee for a portacot prior to making our booking. I then questioned whether there would be a lock box on arrival and the man we booked with said yes there will be and I will email you the details. The email booking came through however no lock box details. We arrive at the motel after midnight — no lock box. Rang the after hours booking service and spoke to another man. He advised he would contact the duty manager whose wife was on site and she would be there shortly to provide us with our room details. Another 10 minutes goes by, no sign of anyone (by this time we had been travelling for 6 hours with a baby). I call back. He assures me that she is coming. Another 10 minutes goes by — STILL NOONE. I ring back again — he advised they hadn't been able to get hold of her and were still trying. So he had blatantly lied to us and said she was coming.

Fantastic place to stay with 2 children. Very accommodating and spacious. Highly recommend.

Room was clean and we'll kept. Was a great place to stay for the night. The sinks we're a bit odd as the hot and cold we're two separate faucets, so that was a new one for me. Staff was friendly. Would recommend.

A great bed and breakfast with fantastic service. The couple running the place are very friendly and were perfect hosts. Very helpful with their suggestions and guidance for tours. Comfortable rooms with ample parking space as well. Rooms come with full fledged kitchen. Breakfast available for 15 dollars. Located 1.5 kilometers from CBD.

Professional knowledgeable friendly proprietors. Very comfortable clean rooms, well supplied. Would be nice to have external blinds on upper West facing rooms as afternoon sun made room unnecessarily hot. Otherwise would recommend highly.

Great location, easy to find, easy to get to and from the airport, good parking space, and only walking distance to eateries from breakfast through to dinner time.

I had two times stay in Bella vista motel, jni Christchurch and Greymouth. Everything is good, same standard services.

Good service but rooms and internet not as good as others of the same branding I have used throughout New Zealand.

Stayed here in December 2016 while on a driving holiday. Decent place, close to city centre, eat out options around and generally convenient for family.

Lovely rooms with great service, bathrooms with high pressure showers and spacious rooms. Would recommend!

Chain hotel group. The management at this one were particularly friendly and helpful. Upgraded us (at a cost) from a 'compact' room (only suitable for one person IMHO), to a more generously sized one. Speights ale House 5 min walk away.

Lovely little motel. Clean, comfortable beds and great personal service. Owners were helpful and willing to help make my stay awesome. I recommend the cafe on the corner as well.
