Very comfortable room with great hosts.

Nice clean motel we love a our stay here. It's warm at night. It has sky and free Wi-Fi. The owner lady was very friendly, kind and helpful. Will definitely stay here again when we comeback to Hamner.

Great staff and accommodation. Just be aware dogs are allowed in case you're allergic like my wife.

Place is clean, service is good. No lock on bathroom. 32 inch TV.

Clean and tidy, long walk into town if you want to drink with dinner. Parking is a bit tight too, overall not that bad.

My husband and I spent two days in this accommodation nestled in the mountains of the South Island in the village of Hanmer Spring. Greeted us the owner smiling, we chatted happily and understood to be welcome not only as tourists but also as people, a commendable dowry that impressed us all over New Zealand by its inhabitants. Accommodation run by husband and wife who inhabit them behind. Simple but functional Mini apartments. Great bathroom and clean. Big bed with soft mattress Alas throughout NZ we did not find a mattress in memory or a bit stiff. The accommodation is a little out of the way but we took advantage of the ' distance ' from the town centre (15 min walk) x once again enjoying the beauty of nearby mountains and absolute peace. We also recommend it because after the earthquake of 2016 these resorts have suffered a lot and it is right to lend a hand to these honest families with tourism live there. A dream trip also thanks to them.

Very welcoming and friendly owner. Room was clean and comfortable. Very nice. Just what we needed for our one night stop over. Hanmer Springs is a gorgeous little town.

Clean and tidy. Had all I needed and did'nt cost me the earth. Also great size of milk you get on arrival. No piddly little pods of milk for tea and coffee but proper little bottles :)

No sound proofing. If anybody used a shower in a room near yours, all you could hear was pressured water running. Sooo loud.

Good clean simple accommodation. Short distance from the springs.

My partner and I booked to stay here over the weekend just been. We live in separate countries and only get to see each other every few months, getting away for a few days somewhere cosy and private is very important as you can imagine. We were disappointed when we arrived. The room was so tiny we could barely walk around the bed to get to the ensuite. The ranch slider was less than a metre from the bed, where the main walkway was located and a small little boy was standing …right outside looking through the window straight onto the bed. No privacy at all. Sat down on the bed and could instantly feel all the individual springs in the mattress. Not comfortable at all. Unsatisfied, we went to politely ask the manager if they had any other rooms offering more privacy. She was able to show us two other rooms, unfortunately these were no better. Such a shame we choose to pay upfront before looking at the room. Our own fault really. Manager told us she wouldn't refund not even a partial refund was offered. Went for a drive up to Green Acres Chalets, for an extra $60 more than what we just paid, we got a two bedroom chalet all to ourselves. Very private, with two balconies, undercover car park, beautiful views etc. Next time we will view before paying. Lesson learned.

Stayed here in nov 2006, clean, friendly hosts, just a short drive to town, hope to stay here again in 2010, highly recomended.

We stayed here in March for 3 nights. If we had the time we would most certainly have stayed longer. Excellent hosts who were very helpful. Accomodation was very clean and comfortable. Hanmer Springs is not to be missed during a visit to New Zealand and when you visit there stay at the Bella Vista if possible. Gilda.
